Has anyone checked to see if theres an FTP server or file transfer service running on the web site? The page says he is going to set up a way to transfer files. I've run the website through nmap (a Linux program that checks a server for open ports), found that ports 21 (FTP), 22 (SSH), 25 (SMTP, for sending e-mail), 26 (very strange to see this one, it identifies itself as an e-mail server, then switches the prompt to look like an FTP server), port 110 (POP3, for receiving e-mail) and 143 (IMAP4, for receiving e-mail). are open and accepting incoming requests. The FTP server is locked down though.

favicon.ico

Favicon.ico is the default image file Apache web servers use. It's installed by default. When you use Firefox and go to unfiction.com, the icon that is displayed to the left of the URL entry bar is usually called favicon.ico. I noticed that because I run a webserver here, and always get an error in my Apache error log about favicon.ico.

Trout We talked about that before. No one had any clue, but if you want to take a stab at it, awesome.

Sorry, Natas, you're right, it's Chalmers. I don't know about him. He does really seem to want to help, but he's still on the list in my book, just in case.

I'm sure this is not going to help any. But, these are the moves from one grid coordinate to the next in "[letter axis],[number axis]" format, delimited with semicolons.

-4,2;3,2;-3,-4;3,2;1,2;-1,1-3;1,1;-4,2;0,-4;3,2;1,2

That's provided it has ANYTHING AT ALL to do with grid coordinates. Confused

Maybe sni is short for a code name, like snickerdoodle. Very Happy

Seriously though. Maybe JASON wasn't supposed to be the secret society. Maybe it's Jason Bullerman, or JB?

I thought someone also mentioned satellites at some point, so maybe the camera has to do with that.

Not to stop working on the coordinates puzzle, but bullerman.net also said the end of the video (what happens after the scream starts?) is on the appropriate page as well as there was going to be a new site for files. So maybe we have to find those two places as well.
