Just had a very brief conversation with him. He says he's worried about dying, and that he will post within an hour. Actually, he said 'aan hour', but when I made a half-joking comment about his 'a' key being stuck he said he didn't know what I meant. Maybe he really just has a bad habit of typing too many a's, maybe he's playing dumb.

We'll have to wait and see what he posts.

Yeah, the white noise thing occured to me too. (I saw the movie.. Haha.)
I'm guessing this is going to involve some very paranormal bits. The logical explanation would be slightly less interesting.

I had a guess about the noise in the background of the first video... If anyone has some good sound layering equipment or something of the sort, and if we are going to go with this ghost thing, it may be Electronic Voice Phenomena, or EVP. There's a wikipedia article about it. It's ghostish and seems at least plausible to me.

I think when he talks about Doug, he's referring to me. I was the first person to talk to him through AIM. Anyway, I've been reading some of the chat logs. He says he works for the DoD? I suspected he worked for the government based on how he said some stuff was top secret. His illness almost suggests something like radiation poising, so maby he was working with nuclear materials? I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed the unusal use of the a. He did it several times but I didn't know what to make of it. For example:

Uh, Kona, I hate to tell you, but if it wasn't for the long chat logs I wouldn't have noticed that TidusIA keeps misspelling "have" as "haave". I think it's intentional. Reminds me of the word aave.

I guess attaaching the logs is cool, though.

Sorry about this being off topic...but when you get a new laptop you can get a widget of a web cam in the panda enclosure at the San Diego Zoo. I love watching them walk around, wrestle, and eat. It's really calming to watch them sleep too.

Anyway! It's a little difficult going forward when he won't tell us much, so hopefully he can give us more info this week when he gets the letter and posts some more footage. I can't figure out why the "project" would be focused in a small colonial German town. That still seems weird to me.
