good observation on the 2+5+0+8=15

The meta stuff use to be used by search bots like google. They're not used that much anymore by the search engines but they are still good practice for briefly describing your site.

For example in that one we know the words "Bowty, Reaction, Julie, Gate, Game, Virus" are important and give us some sort of direction on what to maybe search for.

Another example is the source of The Lazarus Union

That gives us a lot of words to search on and make connections.

Now for the date, February 5 from Wikipedia I found only two events that sound promising.

1) The Tybee Bomb lost by the US Air Force on February 5, 1958.

Another note--
the source code on the main page reveals something new:

Only they are, of course, enclosed by parentheses <>
I don't quite know what 'meta name' means-- any of the rest of you have any ideas?

I was about to write that also in the home page source I found an image-- http://www.thegatereaction.com/2508.jpg of a bowtie-- and nearly misspelled it 'Bowty'.
Bowty-->bowtie-->?
Perhaps a file is hidden in this picture? I'll try deCamouflaging it...

Another edit (sorry): I've tried Julie, Bowty, Bowtie, thegatereaction, 2508, 25, fishing, iamyourdisciple, youaremydisciple, karlcorcoran, hawkjones, and February15, and none of them have worked.
BTW-- 2508 added together (2+5+0+8 ) equals 15.

Palm that was solved back on page 2 of this thread by MrToasty. Also I was looking into the whoismrwilson, Join My Legacy stuff on myspace. And it does appear that bowty is borrowing from that but I can't tell if they are related beyond that. I don't know about the whatisthisgame, I stopped following it way back.

Cyrus you bring up some good points. He talks about a virus on his myspace blog and the alternate name he uses Sx Aff are the extensions to viruses mainly Trojans. Sx is also a medical abbreviations for symptom, I think. He said that Feb. 5 was the anniversary for something. Maybe we need to look into some computer virus that was created on Feb. 5 of some year or something. Also don't the name of some of those viruses have a w in them, so maybe something with W 443 Sx Aff and the date Feb. 5.

Is there some relevance in why he's counting the days to Feb FIFTH? Other than what I've pointed out above, he also mentions Feb Fifteenth. Both days have passed. Is it simply a 2, 5, reference again? Or could it be part of the missing code he refers to?

This is the text of the mypoem.mp3 which can be heard by clicking the link in the page. HOWEVER there is a noticeable extra word or sound at the end.

However I'd say the above /may/ just be a mistake (as explained below) as the formatting of the text on this page is another clue. Look at the Bolded words/letters.

We are told to count the number of W words in the poem. There are eleven.

This leads us to http://www.thegatereaction.com/11/ but that only seems to be part of it. I would think the word "end" in the poem is something next maybe.

Interestingly however, if you try 12 instead of 11 the PM claims its a mistake and TELLS you to go to 11. Hitting 13 or other numbers leads you to choose between either 11 or 12.

Continuing on with the trail the following page has a significant change. http://www.thegatereaction.com/443/Gqyzcjjy/ what we did before was use Rot1/25 to change Gqyzcjjy into Isabella to go to /443/Isabella/ which you still can. But..

The way it is now presented makes me think we are to look for a site on freewebs.com. I tried a few things then tried nothingiswhatitseems and got a page for :

I did a google search for Karl Corcoran and it turns out he is an evangelist with Cross Reach Evangelism. They have an youtube site.

I can't find anything about a Karl Corcoran being a magician or a member of a young magicians' club. So is the freeweb site in game/out of game? I don't know. But with the evangelist/disciple stuff, I think it might be.

There is an Young Magicians' Club in the UK. I tried to enter the members area using this login format. name:karlcorcoran / password:nothingiswhatitseems with no luck

Nice Nighthawk, and just so that everyone knows the importance of the 2 and 5 in this game. (caesar) rot24 is encoded using rot2 and rot21 is encoded using rot5 and rot1 is encoded using rot25. So the numbers 2 and 5 show up once again.
