FYI - when I google maps 445 Geary I get the Golden Gate Theatre, not "The Curran".
*edit* the curran is a real theatre on 445 geary. odd that searching the address defaults automatically to the GGT.

Also, FYI, there was a detailed META discussion with Kade from Kade's Corner in the IRC channel last night. My brain hurts. Can't figure out how to copy paste from the client I'm using - someone should copy paste the transcript for the Wiki (if we get one).

I saved everything I could find in google cache - which appears to be missing "Today...", "This is stupid.", and "Something's Afoot Down at the Circle K". The profile's wiped, so I saved that also. Hopefully somebody's got the above 3 posts saved somewhere?
(I'll try to get these uploaded later today, but somebody else might want to snag the google caches also just in case?)
And I think we were supposed to have found a bricker by now...

The first name on the ticket is five letters and the last name is eight. Since the ticket has a uniform font, and the letters for the name are the same size and height as the "Curran Threater", I was able to space everything out under the apparent blood stains. It came out to five letters in the first name and eight in the last.
D I _ _ _ ~space~ _ _ _ _ _ _ E N
I am having a hard time picking out the third letter. When you blow it up, it is easy to see that there is a vertical element to the left side, and there is not a lower horizontal. This means it is either A, F, H, K, M, N, P, R.
It is quite possible that the first name is Diara, which is a female name and means "Gift".
We now have very real confirmation that Port is indeed a part of this game. Unfortunately, we're also now missing all of his blog posts and we have no point of reference on them. Did anyone think to archive it all?
I saved the first page of posts. Sent the html file to classical for.. whatever he's doing. I didn't think to save the 2nd page, so we're still going to be missing the oldest 3 posts or so. Hopefully it was around long enough for goggle cache to have picked it up..

My brain is totally shot, so I'm going to have to look at the name game come the morn, if someone else doesn't figure it out first. But looking back at the convo, one thing in particular stands out to me:

have you ever heard of Maury Kelvin?
tvonfantine
nope
you ever heard of
hold on hes calling again
TT was gonna ask about something (or someone), before the whole thing blew up... I gotta wonder what.

@syntactic - re: "the rules" - just speculating... maybe if JDM/MK can't post clues here, JDM is just expanding that rule to include all of us? I dunno - his brain seems to operate on that kind of logic...
i tend to agree with you, angel. when having a 1v1 conversation we have to think as if our 1 is a collective.
that being said, who then broke the rules.
@wulf - haha i was starting to think you were a PM you were gone so long
@classical - let's set up a channel via the link you provided.
sorry everyone, we're in channel #imsorry, not in the main channel

maybe it's Scooby Snacks, plural.
Then it would be OOACS.

The problem with 'SCBYSNK' is there's not enough vowels to really make a name. I can't even pull out some strange Urkrainian sounding thing out of it, either. And the problem with 'OOAC' is there's too many vowels!

Hahah, welcome back Wulf!
That email from Port is quite...interesting. Running? From what?
Mac-user, here. I've been using http://www.chat-solutions.org/chat/ for another game with success. I would definitely be all for an IRC channel, but if you guys wanna hook up over Twitter, too, I'm down for that. I just never update mine. |D
