I was going to do this right before the the Greenland facility was connected, but you sent the command before I could. Now that LAINSY is accepting queries again, I asked her if "hytu," the name given to the image of Genus' strange shorthand, had any known meaning or significance. Apparently not. I wonder why he named it that, then?

Yeah. This was Alex's response to me:
Quote:
Oh yes there IS a history between the two. Too much of an history, actually. And then Emily went missing... I don't know what happened to her, or to Scarlet.
EDIT: Alex's response about Scarlet:
Quote:
Scarlet is Rain's daughter. Although no one actually confirms, it has been suspected that Orein is the father due to the relationship between the two. And yes, Rain did name LAINSY's version 3 codename after Scarlet where Scarlet was just 3 years old during the time they started version 3. That was way back 2006 I think.

I asked lainsy about Emily earlier today and this is what she said...
Quote:
AINSY SAYS: QUERY PROCESSED
The only record found for Emily as a FAILTECH employee is Emily Rain, Head LAINSY AI Programmer. Also previously worked under Genus Orein for the Whispher Project. Records indicate she last worked for FAILTECH in 2007, 1 year after the release of LAINSY version 3.0. Currently records indicate Emily has been declared MISSING. Reason unknown or not included in database.
There was no records of an employee named Scarlet. However, my current build name is Scarlet which is the codename assigned by the Head Programer for version 3.
Interesting![/quote]

I think it's a woman who Orein is in love with?
I'm not sure myself. I emailed Alex asking if there was history between the two.

Ok, now I'm really feeling dumb. Who's Emily again?

I emailed Alex on our progress with the files and this was his response:

Thanks, we're almost done with the brute-force program, too. So the more you get solved, the less we need to run through the brute-force program.
Anyways, did you just mention Orein and Emily together? haha, might have just been a coincidence. I just thought I'd never hear both names on one sentece again one after another.

Ok, first of all, I'm having a bit of a difficult time (no pun intended) figuring out exactly how you could desynchronize time in such a way that would result in you sending a message and having the recipients get it before you sent it, and yet any messages sent back would also arrive before the original message was written. I had a rather hectic day yesterday and didn't get much sleep, so I'm not currently as sharp as I usually am when it comes to stuff like this. The answer will probably be very obvious and make me sound really dumb. Anyone care to illuminate me?
Also, I think we should just let Genus get to where he was going. That was our original goal, wasn't it?

Let's just see how this goes...
*votes for YAY!*
*runs away*

Since I changed my vote to a nay, we now have three nays and one aye. The way I see it, 5 votes either way will win it considering how many active players there are right now.
Edit: I'll be busy this evening. I'm good with whatever gets decided.

I think we should follow Orein's instructions and refrain from contacting him. If we're wrong we know what to do in loop #8.

And I bet Alex wouldn't be too keen on shutting down the safety protocols considering Lainsy's recent aggression.

LAINSY SAYS: QUERY FAILED
Sorry, I failed to process that query. The process performing the operation was terminated prematurely. I wasn't able to gather any data on the operation.
I emailed Alex about getting the email. I guess we could ask Alex to shut down the safety protocols and see if given more time she spits out an answer, but I doubt that will work.
Edit: Reply from Alex:

Yes, I got an email from him, too. And as he says, if not contacting him will make his plan suceed, I'll just leave it that way. Anyways, LAINSY did had a minor problem a while ago, and so it was you? hah, don't worry, nothing really bad happened. Just a short minor lapse in services that resumed fast.

You just made her hiccup Cherry! Has anyone emailed Alex about hearing from Genus?

Ok, it's back...
EDIT: Any result from LAINSY?

Dang it! I just knew that was gonna happen. She must be using up all her power to solve the paradox. Of course the answer could be nothing since the paradox can not be solved at the center of the problem. Thus an infinite amount of actions on an infinite amount of loops.
Edit: Site's online for me, but it seems the directory has been shut down I get redirected to the main page.
