I wonder what the status of the Pioneer is now that Genus and the Alexander have disappeared.

I'm subscribed to the stolen ship tracking updates, and here's the latest from LAINSY:

LAINSY: Here's today's tracking update within the last 24 hours
Systems indicate the ship being tracked has been lost within sensor range. Unable to locate ship. Ship might have been destroyed or lost. It could also have been stealthed or jumped out of sensor range. Additionally, Genus Orein's ship has also been lost within sensor range with the same parameters as the Alexander ship.

I'm Baa'aack! Sorry for being so absent lately guys. I was lurking, but had absolutely no time to contribute. RL can be such a drag sometimes. Anyway, I also received the same kind of package. I'll post some pics soon. My message also talked about a box. I absolutely love the enigma code message! That is freaking awesome. We worked so hard on figuring out how that worked. Hopefully I'll be able to be a little more engaged for a while.

Hello folks! Back from a weekend trip and found a FAILTECH letter in my mailbox. It looks to be the same as the one Lystella got and posted pics of, but the mysterious message is different so I will just attach a photo of that.
Any luck with the little RFID tag thingy? I have a couple of ideas on seeing how to read that but it could take me a day or two.

Yep! I filled out the join.failtechnologies.com form a few days ago, haven't heard from anyone though.

The trout is being over fished, I'm afraid trouts are in short supply these days.

There are people who do that? O_O All the trouts I got, I gave to myself, mainly to acknowledge that I realized I was being redundant (never really considered trouts as a bad thing).
But ah...since you're not one to give trouts often, would you mind if I gave myself enough trout for a trout farm to commemorate those days?
Edit for my tactlessness.

I don't like to trout someone's hard work. I usually trout people that are restating the dead obvious for the fiftieth time
I'm still waiting for tracking updates on the Alexander, I suppose. I'm going with the flow here.

I finally got a chance to reply to Genus this morning!
As for trouts, I found my second trout in the Allied Broadcasting thread when I made many speculative posts regarding what might have been going on only to realize that a blog had described it on an earlier page of entries, a page which I didn't even realize had existed until after speculating. Needless to say, I was embarrassed for quite sometime XD
Really, though I probably have much more than two, especially with all the times I ended up posting redundantly in terms of your posts when I first joined Failtech or was it FFEYT/Howard Fair (either way thankies for putting up with that, punxtr \(^_^)d ); I was just late in keeping track. XD
Edit for my tactlessness.
I think I can find an NFC-enabled phone.. btw, when did you get your 2nd trout??? It's been only the one for so long!

I know nothing about NFC cards, but based on what I saw on Google, it seems likely, especially with the symbol that came with the number. As of now, I don't think I have the means to read NFC cards, but I'll be looking for one.
Also tracking update! I haven't replied yet, so if anyone wants to fill him in, go right ahead. Or if he's already been filled in, cools! Otherwise, I'll probably get a chance to reply later today and edit this post if so.
(EDIT: Finally got a chance to reply this morning)

LAINSY: A new update regarding Alexander class ship hull 00023 has been pushed on the system.
Entry by: Genus Orein
Content: Our covert pursuit of the stolen ship is working out fine. I am concerned of the destination. LAINSY has reported that she was already able to pin point the location of this other ship reportedly from FAILTECH and it seems the stolen ship is heading that way. Current speed show that we should arrive within range of this ship in a day or two. I need more information regarding this ship. Also, I have detected a huge magnetic interference ahead of us. It may cause particular effects to communications, and possibly space travel. If our ship does not report within 24 hours, do not attempt rescue.

Here's what I received today! Feel free to try your hand at the code on the ID, too.

This is our good old friend the Enigma code. I used http://enigmaco.de/enigma/enigma.html with the Rotors I,II,III with starting position ARC and FA IL TE CH as the Steckers. The last part then decodes to "In Code We Trust".

New source message with addendum bold-faced translates to:

Also, I had no idea what a RFID was until today. XD I did (eventually) send an email to Dan Miller.

Well, I did send you the letter of gratitude and the ID... But, it seems you have also received it with evidence it has been tampered somewhere between it was sealed and when you received. Another expert whom I also sent mail to reported that he has received mail with another message in it and a code. The message is a little cryptic, I couldn't tell who could have sent it nor do I have a clue where the number could be used, if significant at all.
I don't think there's anything missing, but I can't sent you anything further down the line until we could resolve this tampering issue.
