Welcome back you guys! Smile

I've been talking to a bunch of the characters and I STILL have no idea what's really going on. It's really complicated! I don't think I'm going to be much help to fill you guys in. It would really really help if more players interacted with the characters. We can find out much more information that way. Plus, I think I've soured my negotiations with a couple of characters, so maybe another player will have more luck at getting information from a character than I would. Confused

I think a big task at hand is figuring out exactly what Gregor Maximus's plans are. What are the 15 locations and what is he planning on doing? Is his plan evil and can we get some proof of that? I'm trying to get Pablo Jose on our side, but he will only try to stop Gregor if we have proof that Gregor's up to no good. FYI that Fred Don really hates Gregor because of some past dealings with him, but won't go into specifics about it. Despite all this, Gregor Maximus is ok to talk to, though it's not like he says anything valuable. Maybe I'm not asking the right questions.

I had fun talking to Adiu (Nox Ordo's AI that controls the archive) but I think that link is now completely lost. Too bad. What's weird is that I haven't heard from LAINSY in a while. Anybody able to query LAINSY?

I have recently turned my attentions to Xavier Smith, a FAILTECH employee. Now for some reason Adiu said he was listed as a Nox Ordo member, but Xavier Smith kept denying that he knew anything, though he knew/worked with all of the Nox Ordo guys PLUS Genus Orein AND Gregor Maximus. When I pressed him about it, he admitted that he had a medical condition where he loses his memory sometimes:
Xavier Smith wrote:
Well, most of it, it seems I still go and do my work as usual. I do write logs, documents, and other things part of my duties. Some of them, I seem to aimlessly walk around the facility. And there a few where I am untraceable. As if I was off the grid that the surveillance systems wasn't even able to see where I went. Tracking indicates I am in my room, but visual indicates otherwise. That's a little suspicious, personally. But I don't seem to be hurting myself or putting myself in danger.

Novus Ordo Nox is still a mystery to me. I don't know who's behind it yet. Pablo Jose and Gregor Maximus don't know what it is, either, which could mean it's not directly affiliated with Nox Ordo. It could be a rogue faction or impersonators for all we know.

I never really interacted with any of the Cliffside Labs people (Nathan Book, Joshua Espina) so I don't know what's going on over there. Once in a while I'll ask a random question to Cmdr Sherbackov on http://www.itallstarted.com/comm/, but so far I don't think I've asked anything that might help out.

Thankies, duke! \(^_^)/ I'll do my best and edit/reply once all the info has sunken in and congealed in my brain, although the more active folks probably have a better understanding of what's going on.

Let me be the first to say: Welcome back! Very Happy

When you finally get caught up, could you give me a hand in understanding what exactly is currently going on, haha? I've had a bit of a hard time following things for a while now, which is why I've just been lurking, myself (well that and the fact that I was too busy to really participate when this "season" started and so I'm not really a part of any of the active email threads).

I'll try reading through that wiki when I have time, too (I probably should have been a long time ago... Embarassed ).

*pokes head in*

I think I got stuff mostly straightened out on my end, but until I catch up, I'll be on lurk mode. Also I bring a tad bit more wiki experience, so if there's anything you'd like tidied up over there, I'd be happy to do so until I catch up with stuffs.

So yah...Hiya! \(^_^)_

Small update I noticed. The nox ordo system page has been edited with
Quote:
>>LINK LOST

At first I was a little confused by that but I remembered they have been ghosting LAINSY and sure enough the LAINSY page has been edited with

Quote:
03/02/2013-22:30:16GMT :: UPDATE SEQUENCE COMPLETED

Which has info that says this:
Quote:
Update: 41034 (v4.05.100) to 41200 (v4.05.150)
----------------------------------------------

* Intrussion Detection System Rebuilt
* Network Traffic Observer Installed
* All known vulnerabilities patched
* AI Response System Enhanced
* Remote Commands runs in batch
* All commands Sandboxed, NO EXCEPTIONS
* other security enhancements
* other performance upgrades
* preparation for spring upgrades

That's about it for now.

If you want Zeighy there's still the unsolved cipher from the Failtech site.

I was never able to figure out what to do with it. Though I'm hoping it doesn't need more information, your free to take a crack at it.

True, absolutely right. They haven't really revealed the site... It was just "accidentally" discovered... Per se.

I haven't really done anything so much because everything seems to be via email.... I might poke around, but contacting the characters isn't my thing.

I think if it is related that they aren't revealing it is because (as far as I know) No character has revealed the information to us. For example maxsecindustries was easily gotten from Gregor's email which had the address on it thus a character revealed it. Though that's just my thesis.

Yeah it's just a waiting game for me at the moment.

I'm waiting on the interrigation info from Nathan.
I'm waiting on Alex to report back on the locations that we confirmed and supposed, and he said he would look into the max site.
And finally I'm waiting on the next access code from Nox Ordo.

I've chatted with Gregor but the only thing I've gotten that Espina was never supposed to get captured and that he "Wasn't exactly following orders".

Chiming in my two cents before I go out...

I think the site http://novusordonox.com is unrelated, since they haven't revealed it on the failtech.info site... either that, or we have to unlock it before they reveal it? But then, the maxsecindustries site is posted there, and we essentially have no access to it as well.

This arc is taking up so slow... we lost characters, and I still don't completely follow the story arc.

P.S. there seems to be another phone number we haven't found, yet... Either that or it hasn't been revealed, yet.

So maybe it was unintentional that we got access, though I hold my reservations. I sent an email to Gregor kind of teasing him. I can at least see if I can squeeze any info from him.

Edit:
Seems Gregor doesn't even know about the Satus Novus.
Quote:
Satus Novus? I don't even know what that is

Also I've asked Nathan to futher question Espina about the most recent sites we uncovered and about the Satus Novus.
Quote:
I'll see what I can get out of him. And good job on the cover! Worked pretty well.

That's about it for now.

Back from a holiday weekend! Lots of stuff seemed to go down.
Adiu wrote:
Hello Posse! It appears there was a system re-route. My primary message polling server was taken offline and the system attempted to establish communications to backup servers. However, it has also failed. I am now utilizing a fail-safe communications line. Unfortunately, any messages that I haven't answered to may already be lost on the primary server. If you had previous inquiries, I would gladly answer them for you.

However, be warned that the recent failures appear to be manual overrides on my system in the hardwire links. Thus, I have no control over them. Sooner or later this fail-safe line may get cut. I will attempt to respond to you as soon as I could.
Adiu had issues accessing the Nox Ordo archive, but I did get one last message from Adiu before communications seemed to get cut off (probably by Gregor).
Adiu wrote:
Hello Posse! I was able to briefly access the Nox Ordo archive and was able to pull some of your queries.

Matthew Johnson has left a message on the Nox Ordo archive prior his disappearance. The message is not encrypted and as follows:

---message start---
A note for the rest:
These people had been hammering me with questions. I try my best not to answer them, but I have failed my duties. I have not, however, compromised the operation. I will continue to strive and do my best to fulfill my family's duties. I have been reading through the enemy's moved and I sense I will be taken soon. In the event I disappear, I will enable the archive's emergency access. I hope someone can make good use of it. It's the family's legacy, and so does for Nox Ordo. I voluntarily and wholeheartedly accept fate to fulfill my part of the operation.
---message end---

There has not been any similar message left on the TESTA archive.

The VALESCO family is known as Nox Ordo's prime operative. The family in charge of directly completing any operations in progress in the event an operation is risking failure.

My access was then terminated and was unable to pull information regarding the name of the current member in that family.
So basically, the stuff we actually wanted to know was stuff Adiu couldn't access. And for now, no more Adiu. Doh!

I do come bearing a gift, though! The http://failtech.info lists a couple of "undiscovered" websites and it looked according to the grouping that there may be an undiscovered Nox Ordo website. So I spent the morning looking around and I think I might have found it: http://novusordonox.com

What do you guys think? I don't have an access code or anything, though. Not sure what to use. In the meantime, I am updating Dan Miller and working on the rest of the locations.

ETA: Gregor Maximus's email is gregorSPLATmaxsecindustries.com. http://www.maxsecindustries.com/ is also up but requires a login/password (of course).

ETA: Looks like the http://novusordonox.com/images/ directory is accessible. Sloppy sloppy! Smile It looks like from the images that this site is an email/communication site. If we can access this, it might be pretty dang useful. BTW this seems to be the Nox Ordo logo (Novus Ordo Nox = "New Order of the Night" in Latin? Hmmm...)

Ah. I wasn't sure if other people got the email since the email was sent to: They Captured Joshua

The newest email is from Gregor Maximus himself. Don't know why he's suddenly inserting himself, but I guess we'll see.

Just a new email from Nathan. Just didn't want to keep editing the post above.

Quote:
We have worked with FAILTECH and it seems they managed to capture J. Espina. They have willfully handed him over to us, which was great. Alexander Sword said you guys have helped in getting him, so good job! We will now proceed with some interrogations. However, it seems Espina doesn't have the stolen goods with him. But we'll find out sooner or later once we get the information from Espina. Thanks for the
assistance! I may have preferred that you guys have performed the
operation without FAILTECH help, but what can some obscure small medical company do compared to a company owning nearly 40% of the global market directly and through partners.

I will probably keep you guys posted on what we find out.

So all well that ends well? I'm surprised he's not as angry as I expected him to be.

EDIT:

Edit's upon edits.

A new email enters the fray from Gregor Maximus himself.
Quote:
And so they did capture Joshua Espina? Big deal, you still haven't
figured out the 15.... And what's up with having some sweet talk with
Adiu? I've severed your communications with the archive. After all,
those aren't yours.

His email leads to the new site (which I had been searching for)
maxsecindustries.com
Which requires a username and password.

So LAINSY just confirmed that it is major city locations:

Quote:

LAINSY: Analysis completed. They appear to be major city locations. For example, Harpa is Harpa Concert and Conference Hall in Reykjavik, Khalifa is Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and Heidelberg is Heidelberg Project in Detroit.

At least we have some confirmations about locations for Detroit, Reykjavik, Dubaj.

EDIT:

One new email from Espina and one OOG email:

Quote:

Thank you. I've spoken with Alexander Sword and we've arranged everything. We will be meeting up tomorrow to complete the transaction. Thank you. I can finally get rid of these stuff of my hands.

Hello!

Just a quick advisory. We have initiated the site
http://www.failtech.info to assist in keeping track of websites and
other points of interest. Currently we have all sites listed (including
some clues on what hasn't been found, yet) to help you focus on what
sites to check once in a while for updates. We hope it does it's
purpose, and hope to hear feedback regarding this. Thank you!

-- FAILTECH ARG Team

P.S. We will be listing ALL email addresses (that have been revealed
in-game) soon on the same site.

That probably ends my adventures with Espina.
