The thing about how David's are distributed in each sector which is almost creepy.
I agree, those numbers are weird. Why would every section have the same number of Davids, except Transport, which has exactly double that number? (and maybe covering up for the Security numbers)
This means Davids have been divided up equally between the seven verticals. Also the number 1.19 is a match for our rarest element 119 - Eitr. This feels like a clue pointing us to Eitr, but have tried pretty much every word on it's wikipedia page, to no avail.

Morning all.
I made a start in updating the OOG websites and twitter account list.
I've put the Yutani Corp sites on there, we can always remove them if that changes.

just note that i appended at the bottom to my earlier post regarding ** (star star) to keep things in one place to topic:
One thing I suggest would be to add a wiki page that indexes of ALL the OOG elements, by name & url so it is as clear as possible who/what to ignore.
In doing so, I'd also indicate where possible the reason for the OOG status, ie; the Arizona company that sold Fox one of the Weyland urls and is now in control of the Yutani domains.
I'd further recommend that page be given protected status by the site admin.
having edited a fair number of items already on the wiki, at the moment i don't have the urge or energy to re-tread that ground but anyone who's willing to contribute to it can.
echoing back to an earlier post i made in this thread, i suspect the arizona company didn't sell the domain to fox; but let it lapse and then fox picked it up months later. there's a gap in the domain registration history i've uncovered.
generally speaking, as a player, it's more practically efficient to focus on known, official in-game elements than spending time and effort in verifying what's oog.
but, i also see the benefit of such a page for those just getting into it and that may have missed earlier posts. some oog elements may just as well be harmless fans that could be easily confused or misinterpreted.
the peter weyland twitter, for instance posted that skin tight space suit 19 hours after jon spaihts, a screenwriter of prometheus, did so on his account. so, even if a known account such as @prometheusmovie tweeted something relevant, a similar post by an oog account could potentially confuse matters.
on the other side of the coin, a page listing all known in-game sites, accounts, domains and whatever else might be a good idea. that way players can just focus on that. it will need to be updated when new elements are discovered.

You would be quite correct! It's been mentioned a couple of times here and there, people (including myself) have tossed out a couple of theories, and some folks have been trying to analyse the core video as well to see if anything pops, but nothing thus far!
it looks to me like a video effect from an after effects type program called 'video copilot' which has an effect called, 'glitch.' imo it was used to cover up the end of the video loop (as also suggested by others)
that being said, playing with the frames of the glitch, it looks to me like a slight superimposition of perhaps the 'egg room' head statue eye or a spiral galaxy perhaps? (my wife thinks it looks like water rippling)
it's also interesting to see the glitch shift the colors to a cyan magenta analglyph glasses color.
Thanks for the breakdown! And the 'Video Copilot' reminder... I'd forgotten about that, thanks. But, I do think the 'glitch' and color shifts are there for a reason, whether there's something buried in the image or some other reason.. maybe it's still revealing itself and hence the changes in rate and distortion, trying to make sure we take notice and keep an eye on it.

I think we are all suffering a bit of the brain freeze, so no worries!
Yeah, I brought it up way back on Page 25 (of 77 now, crazy...) and then I noticed that a few like-minded were/are trying to dissect it... but it really seems to be changing more frequently now. Maybe.

back during the morse.gif puzzle there were two impostor peter weyland twitter accounts(including him), in addition to the host of fake weyland and yutani sites. one had a bogus facebook page.
consider that account oog. keep in mind whether there is a link or trail from known fox weyland sites linked. if there is, i think we would like to know about it. if not, then it's not part of the game.
breaking it down:
based on **weyland and **movie, they use a starstar.to shortlink followed by the keyword followed by a pseudo-random alphanumeric string.
- http://starstar.to forwards to starstarapps.com as a shortlink that was implemented to send a (not-so) short link via sms. (it's not-so short because of the pseudo-random alphanumberic string.)
- this is followed by the keyword. in this case it's "weyland" or "movie" or whatever.
- this is followed by the pseudo-random alphanumeric string that defeats the purpose of a shortlink in the first place; but probably is justified by them to track individual dissemination of said sms link -similar to how bit.ly may produce various innocuous links that lead to the same thing for stats purposes.
but, you don't necessarily have to test starstar.to per se since this isn't on the fox name servers, which in theory might lead to stuff that still needs to be verified whether it's oog or not.
therefore, for every **keyword you want to try, point your browser to starstar.to/keyword.
no phone is required to try this, although you'll be missing out on any audio recording or text message.

I just spent like 2 hours looking into different things about the David series models. And I keep looking at the david-8 signature logo thing from the commercial thing looks funny. Why is it on top? Etc. But nothing. Kind of crazy that we don't know where to go.
