Look under the myth section of this website about Orion. Most of the civilizations they mention as having mythology about Orion The Hunter, are the civilizations shown in the trailer released yesterday. They're shown in the part where they are discussing the same pictograph shows up in the different civilizations. I'll add a screen cap if I can find one.

I was referring to the catalog system used in the planet names in the timeline. That's why I underlined the Zeta2 Reticuli System catalog names related to the ones we've seen used (GJ, Gliese, HD).

Ah. When you said, "HD 245409 belongs to the star Gliese 208." I thought you were saying that it is a planet that belongs to the star. What do you mean "It's in the same system Weyland Industries have been creating colonies"? The four stars mentioned (Gliese 581, Gliese 667, Gliese 208, and Zeta Reticuli) are all in different constellations.

I know, that's what I said:

It's in the same system Weyland Industries have been creating colonies, according to the pictures in the timeline and the timeline itself. The planet is probably orbiting this star.
What I overlooked was the star map since I was basing my observations on the Orion constellation, which looks nothing like the pictograms in the trailer. However, the star map you posted does. Here's the two compared.

According to the Cosmic Call's expected time of arrival, it should get to that star system in 2040. There's nothing in that date in the timeline, but there's a gape between the following events:
Quote:
David 4
David 4 becomes the first commercially available model of the David series. He is eventually expected to improve work-flow and efficiency at offices and homes across the world.
April 1, 2042
And
Quote:
Discovery of Archeron LV-426
Weyland astronomers discover multiple moons and a ringed planet just outside the Zeta 2 Reticula System, which are possibly able to support life. Weyland expects to travel there within the century.
May 14, 2039
The second one is very interesting for what we already know from Alien. These are the known denominations for Zeta2 Reticuli, according to Wikipedia:
I've underlined two in particular since the first has been used to catalog the planets on the picture above the timeline and in the timeline (GJ 667Cc, HD 85512 b). I'm just throwing information out there, we don't know if any of this will be useful but it's good to keep in mind.
HD 245409 actually IS Gliese 208 and it is a star, not a planet. Gliese, HD, HIP, and GJ are all common star catalogs. If the number has a letter at the end of it, then it is a planet of that star. So Gliese 581 C is a planet orbiting Gliese 581. It is currently unknown whether Gliese 208 has any planets orbiting it. The wikipedia mentions that it may have been only 5 ly away from earth 500k years ago. It is in the constellation Orion.
If the message takes 37 years to reach the system, then it may take 37 years to receive a response. Which would be 2077. Though it may be sooner since FTL is apparently possible, faster than light communication may be as well.
Here is a view of Gliese 208 (HD 245409). If you use your imagination this kind of matches up with the 6 stars in the UK trailer.
EDIT: It also may be useful to try other urls atprojectprometheus.com, instead of just trying passwords.

Well, 245409 has something to do with the password access it seems. if you remove it from the URL the page renders without the login. The Cosmic Call seems to be one possible clue..but at this point it could be anything..

Probably a highly inaccurate suggestion, but could it relate to the musical scale, and those be notes? Perhaps the corresponding notes could be the password? She said herself in the trailer that it wasn't a map so much as an invitation, so I gather from that it is probably a dead end to look for a corresponding constellation or coordinates to try and decipher the password that way. That's of course if his has anything to do with this pictogram.
The background of weylandindustries.com has a bunch of black and white spheres moving left to right. I thought these could be either Morse code or binary but the ratio of white to black seems pretty high, so maybe not.
At 00:14 seconds on the David8 movie, there is a barcode. Can anyone get a good enough shot of it to see if it may have the password encoded in it?
Best shot I could make. Unfortunately, none of the copies of this viral video are over 360p quality, so it's hard to get a clear view of the barcode in the bag. In any case, I keep thinking the password will be the name of the planet itself that hasn't been revealed yet, we've seen names and satellite pictures of the other colonies but none of the one where Prometheus is supposed to be headed to. (Also, I like how they used some of the planets of the real life Gliese system, assumed to have life as we know it).
A bit offtopic, but does anyone get some of the "grungy" feel Alien had, while watching this video? You can even see an empty 'milk tube' inside the bag, just like Ash had.

First post but I have been lurking for awhile.
The password i have not had any luck, I compiled a list of all the patent numbers hoping that some combination of them would work but I could not crack any. The below list is arranged by date from first to last and I have the "content key" listed also.
Well not knowing if we will be receiving a investor email soon, I tried a few codes:
0560-09797
isle of skye
Eilean a' Cheň
david
david 5
David 8
559 7996
eagle nebula
m16
Pillars of Creation
LV-426
Zeta 2
Archeron
Acheron
If we are supposed to find a special passcode via the info we got recently I am not sure. I was thinking it may be related to
Quote:
"Based on recent classified findings by Weyland researchers, the company determines the exact coordinates of a new destination for long-time pet project: Project Prometheus."
And linking that to where they were going...I dunno
Maybe its the waiting game Monday business day?
Anyone tweeted "them" and asked about it?

^ sorry i didn't see the 'the'
i was referring to projectprometheus.com at the time because that's where the focus is + there is no logical trail leading to theprojectprometheus.com.
we can concur that 'theprojectprometheus.com' is certainly oog. there is nothing there worth our while. moving on...
