There is a post at tmir.blogspot.com that has a link to an interesting device Sony has applied for a patent for.

Also, there are rumors that there will be a Matrix 4 going around the internet. Selina has posted a pair of pictures at selina.suddenlaunch3.com that have sparked limited discussion, but Google searches lead me to believe that there may be a fourth movie.

Hey, Haven't been around here since the Metacortex game. I'm from TheMatrixCommunity.org and we've got some discussion going on about something I think maybe a trailhead. If you go Here you can check out the thread that was started at our forum discussing this.

The website being discussed is TheMatrixIsReal.com . I don't know if you want me to discuss what we've discovered yet, or if you want to find it out yourself. I'll post what one of our members discovered as spoiler text though so if you want to figure it out for yourself, you can. But I don't know if it's really a spoiler as not much has been learned. So far it's led to some AIM conversations that hint at something much larger in the works. Okay, here's what's been figured out so far:

When you go to that website I linked to above, you'll see some numbers at the top with "Phase 7" highlighted. Down below that you see "Time is of the Essence" flanked on the left by a Blue dot and a Red Dot on the Right. Think Blue Pill, Red Pill. Of course you'll want to click on the Red Pill. (Clicking on the Blue pill just gives you a saying about the sleeper not knowing how truly precious sleep is until awoken.) After clicking on the red pill, you'll be presented with a text box that says "Contact Info" and below that is a box for inputing text. It doesn't really matter what you input. Some people, like me, think the intent is for you to submit an e-mail address. But so far nothing's been recieved by anyonw who has done so. But no matter what you type, hit submit and you'll see the following: A square will will form and the following phrases will show up in this order: Rabbit Run, Rabbit Go, Human chase, Human follow". Then those will fade and a picture of the white rabbit from "Alice In Wonderland" will appear. He's looking at his watch. Click on it. When you do you'll see a black page with numbers and letters flashing. The number sequence that flashes are the numbers 1 through 12, then it repeats. The letters flash one at a time in the same space, and spells out the sentence: If you aim at truth, you may find yourself expressing "Oh Verisimilitude". Someone figured out to try using AOL Instant Messenger to IM the user "OhVerisimilitude". And it worked. There have been a lot of discussions between whoever, or whatever, is behind that IM name. I say Whatever because some folks think it's a bot. Other's don't. I don't know if a bot can be written for AIM messenging systems though so I'm pretty sure it's a person. I haven't talked to them yet, but someone named "frostproof" posted some of their conversations on our board and you can check them out Here.
In those conversations it's revealed that the website will undergo 7 phases, counting down backwards to 1. Right now it's on phase 7 with the next phase almost ready to be revealed.
Like I said, I haven't played around with the AIM conversations. But there's talk of this maybe looking like a new ARG.

So anyway, that's what we know. Has this been discussed here before? I searched and couldn't find anything. I'll check back soon to see if anyone else thinks this might be a new ARG starting or just some yahoo playing around.

pressing the bottom button (power) and then the top button (channel change) on the TV being you a zoomed in version of the static.

silverthistle thinks it is a magic eye puzzle. unfortunately neither him or I can do them.

the magic eye website says it is harder to do on a monitor - so if someone who can usually do them can't - try printing it out first.

Although this forum has been archived, TMIR.com is far from a finish, if there will ever be an ending.

The reason this forum has been archived is because TMIR, although it has many puzzle elements, is really not an ARG. I have a feeling we will only need unfiction's services for a short amount of time longer.

This forum is still open for discussions concerning TMIR. Please feel free to post as you wish.

Sachchit suprised us all when he shut down the TMIR.com project. Check out he blog for more information.

Sorry for putting this in a new topic, but I think there's some kind of puzzle in the messages we find behind each door, and I didn't want to clog the main thread with all the text. Here's all the messages behind the 6 doors that have been opened now - I will put up the other messages as they are found. See if you can find a solution in these!

[TRIVIA] Things I have found out

Okay, so a lot of people have been IMing me lately asking various questions about OhVerisimilitude and thematrixisreal.com. I've been working at this whole thing from a pure boredom point of view. I have the worlds easiest job so I have to find something to do to pass the time. I'm just going to post things I have come across. I haven't really told anyone how I've figured these things out, and there might be a step or two I might omit, but only because it might step over the bounds.

One day while waiting on http://thematrixisreal.com/iverilyquote.html to load I noticed that http://the1.no-ip.com/~sachchit was being accessed. It is exactly the same as the first page, except it is on a white background. http://the1.no-ip.com is a very simple page. At the moment it says something about new users not being taken on at the time. I found this weeks ago and when I did they were still taking on accounts. To use one of these accounts you'll need a SSH client, which I just happen to have. I made my account and logged in. One kinda cool thing about linux (as far as i know) is that you can browse directories. Well, there are a lot of people who have an account on this server. in /home/sachchit there are two directories, public_html (where the log page is located) and aim-web. aim-web contains the program that takes IMs and puts them on the page. When I first found this, no special permissions were set and I was able to download everything. I found OVs password. The next time OV came on I told him. He wasn't upset or anything and said that it was part of the 'game' just wasn't supposed to happen yet. He changed the password, but didn't change permissions, so i got it again. Telling him I had it, i'm not trying to piss the guy off, just trying to play the game. This time he seemed a more upset and changed the password along with the permissions. Every so often I check back to see if the permissions have been changed, this time they were. So, once again, I had the password. I told him, like always, and he said, basically, that it was more fitting this time. He changed things like usual.

I was chatting with Selina when she got her email account. She didn't get any sort of info with it, just the address. I had something new to try and figure out. After going to HostOnce (I found this from the email header that was sent when someone emailed a answer to the riddle) which I have determined is the host of thematrixisreal.com. I browsed their site and found a demo of their control panel. In the demo it said that the webmail path was domain:2004, so i tried it. Viola, http://thematrixisreal.com:2004 TheMatrixIsReal WebMail. It does look like the page has been edited a little bit so I am kinda wondering about the version of the software. Doind a search for IMail v7.07 I found a blurb on a blog about how Saddam's email had been viewed by a known exploit in v7.07. I don't know if this was intentional or know, but just for future reference.

When i had the password to OhVerisimilitude i couldn't help but sign on. The buddylist is maxed out, not a single name could be added. This was about a month ago that this happen, so things might've changed. I browsed everyones profile that was on and noticed that just about all the phone numbers were from the 310 area code. when i logged into the1.no-ip.com to sign up for my account, it asked for a room number. combining these together i came up with the university of maryland. doings some research on UofM shows that they have a pretty hardcore AI department. I came across an writeup of AI based on human DNA. this was kinda hit me as important considering that OV posed this question in a conversation he/she/it had one night. we were going back and forth on what makes something no longer artificial and things of the sort. he said something along the lines of "if AI were based on superhuman dna, would that still make it artificial.

I don't know if the answer to the riddle is supposed to be an image or text, and i have no idea what a verbal answer would be, so i drew it. it took a couple attempts, but i came up with this http://jason.cybertears.net/images/misc/riddleanswer.bmp. It fits all the rules.

i've been asked how i did the links and bold text on iverilyquote.html. to be honest, this just happened. i don't use the AIM client, i use gaim and apparently my text formatting just makes it through. the link thing is the same, i dunno if the real AIM client works like this.

That's about it for now. I'm going at this whole thing from a completely different angle that it seems most people are. I'm probably going to continue posting any new findings i have in this topic.
