First off, I'd like to say hello, and a big thank you to everyone who played our game. You guys made everything worth our while. :)

For those of you interested in getting your hands on some of these cool Rambaldi coins (as seen here ), we still have 25 coins to give away in their original evidence bags.

Operatives:

Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, the organization known as Followers of Rambaldi has absconded with the critical data referenced in message OF-EP-301B. We did not have enough information decoded in order to make the critical leap while using the Omnibot, leaving us effectively dead in the water. Omnifam and the WARN program were outmaneuvered by the Followers of Rambaldi and we did not ascertain the locations of the dead drops.

Although this might seem like a mission failure, the truth is that each one of you performed admirably and has done great credit to Omnifam. Please take a moment to reflect upon all the successes we have accomplished singly and together during the past several months. You are to be commended for your efforts.

As of December 3, the WARN operation will be terminated. Omnifam extends its heartfelt thanks to each of you for your cooperation and participation. We plan to schedule a live debriefing session in the near future. Watch the Omnifam home page for details.

Since our last communication, WARN operatives have uncovered a series of pages on followersoframbaldi.com which we believe could lead to the dead drops you have been tasked to intercept. To date, these encrypted pages remain a mystery. The final page, located at followersoframbaldi.com/sanctum/ultimo.php is locked behind a highly secure firewall.

We've traced the connection to a facility where the firewall physically resides in Siena, Italy. To circumvent the firewall, we intend to launch a remotely controlled mobile robot to infiltrate the facility. WARN operatives will be able to move the robot using a control panel hosted on the Omnifam website. It will be up to you and your team to direct the robot to the firewall computer and then detonate it. By destroying the firewall, we should be able to access the contents of ultimo.php.

The bot will be deployed today. This doesn't leave us much time to execute the mission and decode these messages. However, I have every confidence in your team's abilities. You'll find the control panel at omnifam.org/omnibot/. Once the bot is deployed and communications are established, the bot will begin transmitting images from its onboard camera.

A newbish question on the nature of ARGs

Very simple question. Do I have to get in at the beginning of an ARG to be able to play it properly? I just found the Omnifam site and am working on the crossword puzzle, but I'm seeing topic headers around here that indicate the game is already well underway. If I start moving into the game world, will I be confused because certain things are accessible that I'm not supposed to know until later, or will the game sites somehow dectect my level of progress and adjust accordingly?

Did that make sense?

I got a brand new email in response to the analysis of the

satellite maps on the Followers site...

Excellent work so far identifying the locations of the maps. We currently have a level 3 analyst reviewing the disturbing eye motion images. Our current belief is that these eye motions are some form of simple encoding scheme designed to surreptitiously convey information between brothers in public places.

We'll issue an update if our analyst has any further insights or is successful in decoding these images.

In the meantime, it appears the drop will occur sometime in the very near future. A field agent deeply entrenched within the Followers of Rambaldi has obtained a message directed to them indicating a significant opportunity. They have just completed negotiation for the purchase of important Rambaldi research. This information will be delivered to them in the near future by some physical means, most likely a dead drop. Omnifam believes the information to be of supreme importance to our plans.

Your mission is to infiltrate the Followers' website, obtain the time and location of the dead drop, and intercept the information before the Followers have a chance to retrieve it. Upon completion of your mission, report back to Omnifam for further instructions.

According to our agent, the Followers are coordinating their activities online through followersoframbaldi.com. He believes the newly discovered page porta.php is where you should begin your infiltration.

Call for help - encryption puzzle

Hey guys,
I'm sorry for bothering you all by asking for more help with the Omnifam ARG, but our player base is small, and we've been stuck for almost a month on this puzzle. So, we're hoping your brainpower can solve it :)

We've been given a few clues; the obvious one being to find the encryption or the key. The last clue we got a few days back:

Facts In Evidence

The characters presented on the page remain consistent as long as the IP address of my web client doesn't change. Logging in through a proxy server or otherwise altering the IP address reported to the website results in a different string of characters.

The character string is consistently 560 bytes in length and doesn't vary based on the client application used.

Other than normally anticipated headers, the page also returns a header containing the string:
x-encrypted: kzort v4.7

Conclusion
Clearly, something is encoded in those text strings. WARN operatives need to review what they know and evaluate it along with the facts presented above.

If you could offer any ideas, or actually solve this thing, it would be more than welcome!

The only file that we know is hosted on that site is www.followersoframbaldi.com/images/key.jpg which is accessed via Arcanum-Ultor and www.followersoframbaldi.com/eye.swf .

Recently the message on the home page changed from 'A Renaissance is Upon Us' to 'Who.Are.You? We.Are.Reasonable.'

Hey guys, some of us in the Omnifam ARG could use a bit of help, if you can spare it... We're currently on a puzzle trail, and the latest one we have (the second) is boggling us all. Check it out here:

The numbers/letters change, and the following phrases will randomly appear over and around the puzzle, one at a time:

Patience is a virtue
21 square moves restores the order
Convert the curse to a bucket
Additive magic works well
Dig out the dutch poison
One is fat and one is not
Decompose the first of puzzle

The numbers/letters look to be hex code characters, but I haven't found anything that might decode yet. The "patience" phrase lead us to think that maybe the numbers STOP changing, but I haven't seen that yet. The "21 square moves" bit might point to sliding each colored block to a new position to put them in some kind of order, but again, not sure on that. The curse/bucket one? Not clear. "Dutch poison" is a kind of weed, I found, but I don't know if that's what we're looking for. :P It might refer to an earlier mission in this ARG where we got a datacard sent to some of us via someone in Amsterdam. "One is fat and one is not" - might refer to some numbers/letters being bold, and some not. As for the last message, maybe something to do with the first blue box of the puzzle, or the letter "p"? Not sure (kind of like the rest!). So yeah, if anyone has seen something like this before, or has some insight, please let us know! Thanks!

PS - I know there's the Omnifam section on this forum, but when we contacted the organization we report to, they suggested finding some experienced puzzle solvers. In other words, no hint for us! So I wanted to reach out to people who don't know of this particular puzzle.
