Hi! I'm new to online ARGs, a bit. I participated in the OldRoot thing (r/oldroot) for a bit. I received the ARG book Quest when I was younger and my sister and I got as far as we could with that. I remember my father participating in the Search for the Golden Horse that ran on PBS. My experience is limited, but I do have a little experience.

Salutations! My name is Soul, and I would like to say it feels good to be here. Being able to type this out here means I can be apart of a group of people that knows how to not just shitpost all the time or troll little kids on some online game. I hope to meet many people here that will improve my life and hey, maybe even start an ARG with.

Hey there. I'm also kind of a newbie to the forums. I've been lurking for a long time, but never made an account. I mostly just came here to check up on anything new ARG related.
The community is fairly inactive, sadly. Some posts were made months ago, and they were the latest post in that topic. People still come on here now and then, but ARGs have sort of died down recently. They aren't gone, but they certainly aren't as popular as they used to be. But that's just my opinion.

Hi there!
I'm new to the forums and really to the concept of ARGs in general
I watched some YouTube videos that talked about ARGs and I was immidately intrigued
I'm not sure how active this community is or really how to even get involved in an ARG but I'm really just intrigued by the concept of ARGs as a whole

If the community is still active I would like any sort of tips or even just like
Some sort of way to get involved as a player in an ARG (like where to keep my eyes open or something?)

Yeah, I guess people are just really used to the anonymity of other discussion-board sites. I feel like UF has always been a bit different inherently, in that an ARG occurs over longer periods of time, and as such discussing one can mean repeatedly running into the same posters over and over again. You're much more likely to meet people and develop friendships in this environment than on an anonymous imageboard. Having said that, I feel that ARGs are becoming less and less of a niche market, and this opens up discussion boards like this one to an influx of new users, who may be more used to, say, /x/ or video comments. Those are just my two bits...

As for me, I'm just a bit too lazy to log into my account at the moment.

There are a lot of spammers creating profiles to embed links (that I have to go through every day to remove).
