Salutations! My name is Soul, and I would like to say it feels good to be here. Being able to type this out here means I can be apart of a group of people that knows how to not just shitpost all the time or troll little kids on some online game. I hope to meet many people here that will improve my life and hey, maybe even start an ARG with.

Hi! I'm new to online ARGs, a bit. I participated in the OldRoot thing (r/oldroot) for a bit. I received the ARG book Quest when I was younger and my sister and I got as far as we could with that. I remember my father participating in the Search for the Golden Horse that ran on PBS. My experience is limited, but I do have a little experience.

Hi there!
I'm new to the forums and really to the concept of ARGs in general
I watched some YouTube videos that talked about ARGs and I was immidately intrigued
I'm not sure how active this community is or really how to even get involved in an ARG but I'm really just intrigued by the concept of ARGs as a whole

If the community is still active I would like any sort of tips or even just like
Some sort of way to get involved as a player in an ARG (like where to keep my eyes open or something?)

My first post and I felt like doing something constructive without playing any game at the moment. So I was wondering how many active players are there in Tasmania, or Australia as a whole? :)

If you're really not comfortable saying Australia, then i guess southern hemisphere will do :P

i was just thinking, at conferences like SXSW, twitter can come in real handy. Now I know ARGfest isn't quite that big (yet) but twitter could still come in pretty useful while we are there. If people use it.

Meigeist Reunion

Hi all,

It's been nearly ten years since the awesome ARG "Meigeist", which had us solving puzzles, investigating yoghurt drinks, solving the mystery of missing bears, saving Eva from the darkness of her mind and running around Bristol with Pat and Dave.

It was because of Meigeist that I met Jon, known on here as jediwannabe, and now one of my closest friends. We were talking last night about how Meigeist was nearly ten years old and thought about how it would be pretty cool to rganise a reunion for those people who played it, probably heading down to Bristol once again for some sort of fond reminiscing and celebration.

To that end I figured here was the place to post to try and "rally the old troops". I know this place isn't what it used to be, and I know many of the players might not come here anymore, but if there are any who remember, please get in touch so we can organise this. We've technically still got a year or so before the anniversary, but we might even be able to get Hazel involved too.

Oh and I STILL have my postcard from Pat and Dave, and the cow toy with the clue shoved in a suspicious place.
