I searched, and I searched all over the forums for a similar post as this one so I can find out more about this site and whether its a possible trailhead.

I came across the site, I'm sure some of you have probably seen it,

Any ideas?

-The image shows a group of people, a mob, or riot perhaps?
-First impression was that I was looking into the screen of a TV but closer observation shows that the image is distorted and it somewhat looks like a quark board or tag board.

Most will remember the Happy Cube forums from the ill-fated Wyoming Incident. A little while ago I received this email from a "boardmoderator":

Then another thread posing the question "Who is Joseph Bright?"

Throughout most of early 2007, a man claiming to be named Joseph Bright was a participant in the "Wyoming Incident" alternate reality/role-playing game that used this board as a headquarters of sorts.

Bright is unstable and may have irrationally acted on things that he saw or read about on these forums and in the game. There is reason to believe that he has continued to play the game, despite it ending almost two years ago.

We do not know how active the off-site community is, but we have heard that there are/were IRC channels and other websites where details about the Wyoming Incident were discussed.

If any of you knew and conversed with anyone from a chatroom or forum who called himself JosephBright, JoeBright, JoBright, JBright, B-37, CopperFist, or AmIn, please message me whatever details about him you can. Useful information would include details about where he is currently living (even just the state would help), what his current occupation is, whether or not he is abusing drugs, possible alternative names he may be using, and so on.

Funny. Check out the name of their new CEO: Richard Fowler. Formerly, he was the Director of Holdman and Breakers Ltd. Ha ha.

Any guesses on names/passwords for the restricted access portion of the

Sombra Corp is the name of the front for Enrico Balazar and his men, who are trying to buy the vacant lot in Manhattan where the rose is located.

Richard Fowler is another name for Randall Flagg, who is the Walkin' Dude, the Ageless Stranger, and also Walter/Marten from the Dark Tower books and The Stand. Bad, bad man.

There's also a link to http://www.lamerkindustries.com/ from the Sombra page. LaMerk is mentioned in the Dark Tower books as a manufacturer of robots.

If this pans out, it would be very, very cool indeed. Whois info can be found here . There's a phone number listed - 615-429-5938, which is a Nashville number. I'd call it, but holy heck, it's Flagg! :shock:

Echo Bazaar

So I just started playing Echo Bazaar, a twitter-associated Steampunk sort of RPG, when I noticed that http://twitter.com/EchoBazaar was retweeting tweets that appear to be made by characters in-game. The "Mr. *insert-commodity-here*" characters are sort of Captains of Industry of the different markets going on in Fallen London, and there are a few posting tweets about commodity prices, sniping at each other, and some player interaction. Thoughts?

I was slumming around at 4chan and I found a crazy and spooky video on youtube, I was trying to figure out what it was all about, but no luck. :(

My boyfriend said it was probably an Alternative Reality Game, clue, or something like that....I've never heard of such a thing, so Google lead me here....I was wondering if you guys knew anything about this?

Anyway he dropped off the map around the summer of 09, no more videos, no more messages, just one that said "See you in OCT." Well October 09' came and went with nothing. Everyone assumed it was dead. I just checked his account since it's October and all.. And after a year of absolutely nothing, He signed back in a week ago.
No new codes or anything.
But it's October, and i'm assuming he's back.

Yea, He changed his "About Me" to 2010.
So yea, it's on.

New here and not entirely sure what this is all about, but seems like the best place I've found to talk about ARGs --

Zachtronics (makers of SpaceChem and Ironclad:Tactics) have a new game Infinifactory, slated for "late 2014" release. Today they posted this on twitter:

A retro website with links to three data files, an email address, and various broken links, and one real link to NEAT . I've emailed the Summer Internship coordinator and no response so far, but it's only been a couple hours.

The data files decode as images:

Comparing the images to media on their site, it is obviously Infinifactory-related.

I don't know a ton about data formats or image encoding, but there are ~16 bytes(?) of extra data at the start of each file:
11-28: 07 08 02 05 07 03 04 04 06 08 06 02 08 08 02 08 02 03 02 02 07 04 08 0C...
12-01: 02 04 07 03 02 08 05 08 07 08 08 08 04 06 04 08 03 06 48 A2 F7 FC FC F9...

The language in the three images is similar but I can't see any obviously repeated symbols. There are are approximately 6 vertical line symbols (|, i, !, :, : (extra tall), and triple colon), and then also the blocky script text. The vertical symbols are all in multiples of threes. The symbols on 12-03 do not seem to be repeated on the other two images.

Any further insights? (semi-cross posted to the infinifactory reddit thread )
