I've just checked and I was still able to enter a solve for satellites of love (yellow 73) so it seems to be card specific problems. So - if a card solve seems broken we just have to wait until the new year.

Yes, this is the only card (so far) I've had an issue with - loads of other cards (from season one and two) still work fine.

I've e-mailed the info [at] mindcandy address and if that doesn't work I'll try more underhand and shamefaced routes  . pineapplejelly (that sounds delicious!) perplexcitytrades went down a little while ago, I'm not sure about other trading sites. Some people still check the forum here for trades, but I don't think the frequency is very high. Perplexorum sadly closed its forum doors on Sunday too.

Further to the above received the following reply this morning:

Hi Mikey,

Thanks for the email regarding Perplex City - I can confirm that nothing
is being done with Perplex City at the moment and unfortunately no one
is maintaining the solve site.

I suggest you check back with us in the new year as we hope to have some
more information then.

Best wishes and happy puzzling,
Perplex City Customer Care.

A whole host of PXC stuff seems to have disappeared in fact. All the trading sites have turned into advertisement sites.

I've just checked, and Firebox still lists the cards as available. I'd certainly hope that they will maintain the site whilst cards are still on sale. As for the ones still to come - who knows?

Go on, Mikey, poke them and see what happens. I'm not going to hold my breath for a reasonable answer from them though.

Bad sign - they're not maintaining the site?

Hmm. What does this mean for the next waves they promised? I think we should poke them. If people can still buy cards (there are boxes for sale in my local Borders) then they should still be able to solve them right?

Argh! I saw this card, knew the answer right away, but every time I enter the card ID I get an error message. (And not your standard "this is an invalid ID" but a weird "Unexpected error!" thing) I've got as far as the picture screen once as well (possibly the first time) when it must have only errored on the answer input - which suggests that it's nothing to do with the ID.

There's a bit which says "If you weren't expecting to get this error message, email us." so I have... and the perplex help email has apparently been deactivated or something, because I got a bounce :(

What should I do now?

[S2] [Cards Set] #034 California

just a bit of retrospect, I got the solve on this card the VERY second i picked it up. I just said "california" in my head....when i did, some whiny emo kid started singing California over and over again....

Here in the US,
the OC
used that california song for ALL it's comericals... could even be the title song. (i wouldn't know, i've never seen it, i just watch alot of FOX.)

I have been unable to find a good answer for the riddle on the back.

The internet turned up "After breakfast!" On the other hand I think that "lunchtime" is a much better answer

Does anyone else have a good one? Or at least a response better than what I and the internet could come up with.[/spoiler]

[SOLVED] Orange #057 Volume

Okay, I feel like an idiot. I've worked out three different solutions for myself, and then copied every different possible answer that I can find for this problem. No matter what combination of answers I try, no matter how many times I say "there are now 400ml in the 500ml cup", it doesn't seem to work. And look as hard as I can, I can't find the "N/A" option that everyone says to add. GRRRRAARRR!

...I should go calm down...

What copy of the The Art of War are you using? I do not own a hard copy, and the internet version I found lists the principle of strategy being in Chap. 3, Section 13.
http://quan.nguyen.net/me/suntze/chapter3.htm

I think you're right on what part of the text they are pointing to, but I want to have the right sections for furture puzzles or ciphers.
