[ACWE] Closed... or is it?

I hope that I'm not taking too much liberty with this post. My intent is not to offend anyone, nor upset an already difficult situation. However, much has happened over the last few days and I feel it needs discussing.

Yes, the email content that Chewy posted is real. It appears that ACWE has ended. There's been a lot of talk since some of the PM's came out from behind the curtain (is that the proper lingo?). Some people are very upset. Some people said it was inevitable. I don't feel that the reasons behind why it's come to an end are as important as how we, as the players, choose to deal with it.

This was my first ARG. I'm not a PM. I'm just a player. I'm not even a very good player. But about two weeks ago I signed up because it seemed that ACWE was still in its early stages. I felt I had an opportunity to get involved easily and quickly. I read through the forums and tried to follow everyone's input as they worked through past puzzles and story elements. In less than 36 hours I was posting on the forums, contacting in-game characters and even solving one of the puzzles!

As it stands now, we reached a critical point in the story. We nearly finsihed all of the postcard puzzles that were sent out and/or uploaded to the acwe website. And we discovered the location of some of the posters. It's unfortunate that we couldn't continue this through to the end, but such is life. Things happen.

That being said, I'd like to avoid posting endless logs of chat room content. I'd rather summarize some information I've gathered in the last couple of days.

1) The original PM assured me that the prize winners will receive an email soon regarding the contest prizes. I do not know what will be discussed but expect some communication soon.

2) I asked the original PM to share with the community a summary and/or outline of the complete story as it was intended to play out. Should this occur it will most likely appear here in the unfiction forum.

3) There are 6 postcards yet to be solved. The postcards were sent out and there images were uploaded. I've archived them and indexed them HERE . I hope that some of you can swallow the bitter taste of this and assist in solving the remaining puzzles.

4) The solutions to the postcards were intended to lead us to posters placed near real life locations near players. These posters had additional puzzles on them that required solving and would help us discover an even greater puzzle. I know that when all 16 posters are arranged in a certain way, like jigsaw pieces, that they reveal a map, and presumably another puzzle. There are 16 posters total and 6 of them have been revealed. The remaining 10 need to be discovered, either through actual footwork or by further communication with some of the original PM's. I'd love to see us stick it out, find the last 9 posters and solve all of the remaining puzzles.

At least two PM's are willing to assist us in indirect ways. Perhaps I'm being too resilient about the whole experience, but as I said, this was my first ARG and I'd really like to finish what's left of it before it is completely forgotten. I've had a blast so far. I've learned so much in just two weeks thanks to everyone here. You've all been so courteous and polite and shown a wonderful sense of teamwork that I've rarely seen in any other online community.

So... if anyone is with me, let's do this! Let's finish these postcards, dicover the remaining posters and put this dog to rest in an honorable fashion! What do you say? Let's show the community that we're able to rise above defeat and come out better for it!

Thanks everyone! It's been a wild two weeks so far! I can't wait to see what else the ARG world has to offer!

goatman

Special thanks to josiah for organizing a list of the postcards and related posters I used for my index. Thanks to Kender, freshness, enaxor, teh_lisa, chewy and the rest of the acwe regulars who helped me along in my first two weeks as an ARG player! I hope everyone in the community is as friendly and helpful as you all have been!

[ACWE] Hiatus

In a very in-front-of-the-curtain move, the ACWE PM team has announced a hiatus.

Here's some excerpts. ... I'm posting it in full.

Dear players,

This is the head of the Another Contest Worth Entering PM team. I'm writing to address the issue of where the game is going at this moment. We believe the game is in imminent danger of implosion. At this time we have lost 2 PM's and there are a few problems that are grinding this game to a halt. I realize there is the "This Is Not A Game" rule, but in this case I felt it was imperative to address you directly, because we are in jeopardy and believed that addressing this in-game would seem duplicitous. I emailed because it seemed more personal and I am really hoping that this is the right thing to do. I decided against posting on the forums because it is you who have been playing and I want you to understand how delicate this matter is to the team. We had very little control over the creation of these circumstances and we very much want to avoid a fiasco, it's already a debacle.

The team apologizes, first thing, for what has been happening. There has been gross miscommunication and a number of logistical quirks, and their impact on our ability to perform as a team has been crushing. There is no blame to be laid, it was a syndrome. This is supposed to be fun for both sides, and it has ceased to be so. It has never been our intention to deliver anything but an enjoyable experience to you and due to these problems we have been unable to do so. At this point we are almost paralyzed. An emergency powwow was held and we determined that perhaps the best course of action was to contact you who we have corresponded with in email and tell you what our status is. I am asking that you spread the word to your fellow players. I would be much obliged.

Right now we are rebuilding the team and revamping the game. The cumulative effect of what's happened has made it impossible to repair the game while it is in play. We would like, if we may, to take a hiatus of two weeks if possible. I realize this is an unusual request, and I'm going to be honest, it was my idea. The alternatives were to limp along, crippled, or to simply fold. Either one is, for you and us, an unsatisfying conclusion. You've borne with us for this long (we're very grateful and somewhat amazed), and we're just asking that you give us the time to recuperate and put everything back on track. A lot of effort has been put in on both sides, and I think nobody wants to see an implosion.

Please email me back, the team is anxious to get the game going again, but we definitely need the time to recover. When we return, we promise a much-improved experience.

Thank you,

ACWE PM Team

EDIT: BTW, although the email is 1st person, I'd like to say that I'm not a part of the PM team. I'm just posting verbatum.

[CHAT] Feb. 18th

LAX popped in to help us out with Project Shadow

 [22:56] * LAX has joined #xbox360contestdrawing
[22:56] Good evening.
[22:56] Hey LAX
[22:57] Hello, Chewy.
[22:57] How are things coming along?
[22:57] Not bad, and yourself?
[22:57] Fine.
[22:58] Have you figured out what the meaning of "the other photo" is yet?
[23:00] We have some speculation, but nothing concrete.
[23:00] Good to hear. That means my trip into the fire-pit will not be without purpose.
[23:00] I thought it referred to the large photo of the Dr, but that doesn't appear to lead anywhere.
[23:01] Can you tell me if that large photo is the same man? the doctor, that is?
[23:01] fire-pit? Is this some metaphorical, cliched term I should know?
[23:02] Chewy: long story involving my lack of cigs. But I have them back now so I'm more "stable".
[23:02] You should quit, you know. Smoking kills.
[23:03] * goatman says smoking is bad, then lights up a cigarette
[23:03] goatman: I have done some thinking and feel it has more to do with another photo of the one that is there then one that is on the site currently.
[23:04] Chewy: Quitting only leads to my mental instability. I have learned that the hard way.
[23:04] what do you make of the mushroom cloud picture being names "contact_1"?
[23:04] Maybe if I have a week away from everything will I try to quit again.
[23:04] goatman: That is exactly what I was thinking.
[23:04] Another one of those.
[23:05] interesting.
[23:05] "The other one" leads me to believe that it's another one of the same.
[23:06] that's what intitially led me to find a hidden photo of the doctor, much larger than the one on the irk site.
[23:07] I had the same thought at first.
[23:07] but then I considered that it meant something more literal. there is a string of text that reads "Contact one" of us... etc. etc.
[23:07] Then I remember who I am dealing with and thought that there is no way that they would make it easy.
[23:07] Unless they thought that that was what I was thinking.
[23:07] agreed.
[23:07] Then they would.
[23:07] hehe.
[23:08] Then I was thinking that maybe it was hidden, but not in plain view.
[23:09] Like something that would not be located in any source code or text that one would normally see.
[23:09] * goatman thinks hard.
[23:10] If they thought that people would look for it within the site, they would hide it.
[23:10] Which would make sense from what I have heard about them.
[23:11] * goatman looks at something...
[23:11] My thought process was one of "Well, they used one angle to help those that wanted to find it do so. Why choose the same angle twice?"
[23:14] * LAX needs a drink
[23:14] I will be right back.
[23:14] well, the hidden text in projectshadowweb refers to a photo... I don't know how that would be taken any way other than literal.
[23:15] the mushroom cloud picture is named contact_1, but could be contrued as contact between two object or...
[23:15] 1 of many contacts...
[23:16] or the action of contacting 1 of a group.
[23:16] Or one of a number of photos.
[23:17] hrm.
[23:18] Normally, and I use that term with great caution in this case, if one labels something with a number it refers to where that number sits in a set of numbers.
[23:18] so, could there be more images that are not on the site besides the hidden doctor one?
[23:19] Seeing as how the "text" is "the other one" I would assume that there is another photo, the same as the one that is there, that is labeled with another number or another word in front of the nummber.
[23:19] right.
[23:20] "one" could be either "1" or "in addition to this one".
[23:20] gotcha.
[23:21] so do you think the clue to this files name is already obvious, or do you think it might be derived from the names of known photo files?
[23:21] So it could be either another "contact" file or another "_1" file.
[23:21] I see.
[23:21] Do you think this other _1 file could have something to do with the bolded letters?
[23:21] * flutterby has joined #xbox360contestdrawing
[23:22] Your guess is as good as mine. I'm just throwing my thoughts out there for the record.
[23:22] Hello... flutter?
[23:22] I'm not saying that I am right. I am just making my views on the subject at hand known.
[23:23] Then again, I've had less to do around here.
[23:23] and it's appreciated. I think most people have been preoccupied with the postcards, so it's interesting to revisit this.
[23:23] So I've had a little bit more time to run ideas through my head.
[23:23] Any other ideas you want to share?
[23:24] About this subject? None that I can think of.
[23:24] As far as ideas about anything else? It would depend on the question.
[23:24] * flutterby is now known as flutter[bye]
[23:26] How do you think we should go about contacting the chemical folk.
[23:26] yeah. what chewy said.
[23:26] Jason doesn't have contact info...
[23:27] Well? I probably wouldn't pry at first. The best thing to do is just to ask for information about the company. Look interested and let them get to know you.
[23:28] Duely noted.
[23:28] We are not sure who does or does not know about the "dark side" of the company.
[23:28] It is safer to just make it look like you don't.
[23:29] * flutter[bye] has quit IRC (Quit: http://unfiction.com/chat/)
[23:30] Well, my time for conversation has come to an end. I will talk to you later. I hope that my views help in any way.
[23:30] * LAX has quit IRC (Quit: )

Color Legend:
LAX, bold blue

Nothing too out of the ordinary. It should guide us a bit on what to do next.
[ACWE][EMAIL] February interactions

I think things may pick up considerably during this month, so we need a new header.

Here's the latest from Sarah:

Wow, this is a lot to try and take in all at once.

I take it that the person that I know as "ex-lax" and the one who
contacted you previously regarding something completely different then what my web-site contains is the same person? If this is in fact the case, then Brad has changed a lot over the years.

I lost contact with him just after high school when he went into the
military. I don't remember what he went in for (what his job was) but I
do remember him coming home after he had completed his training. His
family was quite happy and so was I. Let's just say that I have a weak spot for a man in a uniform, even if they are known for something as silly as "ex-lax".

It is sort of a long story, but the ending is that I went off to
college and we lost contact from that point on.

I never really felt the need to keep up with him or ask his family what
he was up to so I really don't know how to respond to the comments that
you have made about him.

There are possibly two ways to take your message about Brad:

1) That he has gone completely off of his rocker and I should leave the
house immediately or
2) That he really hasn't changed that much and is still looking after
me.

I will take your advice and talk to Jason about all of this the next
time that I chat with him.

[00:10] * teh_lisa shrugs
[00:10] but there are now a lot fo people in warren ohio that are curious
[00:10] * teh_lisa snickers
[00:10] wow, that's a long message. Give me a second.
[00:11] * teh_lisa nods
[00:11] it is more narrative than anything else
[00:12] okay... the clues that you have (that I gave you and that you have found), repeat
them too me.
[00:14] those stupid freakin letters than i dont know what they mean
[00:14] * teh_lisa smiles
[00:14] okay
[00:14] remember those
[00:14] what else
[00:14] * teh_lisa has been thinking about them all day
[00:14] :)
[00:14] heh.
[00:14] little red riding hood
[00:14] okay
[00:14] one more thing
[00:15] It's something that I said to you.
[00:15] besides the "little red riding hood" thing.
[00:15] FIC, PAT are the "stupid freakin letters than i dont know what they mean"
[00:15] * teh_lisa nods to chewy
[00:16] To the chat log!
[00:16] I said something and winked to you... what was it?
[00:16] i tucked that away
[00:17] i thought that may be important
[00:17] but i forgot it until now
[00:17] [15:36] LAX: Hopefully no one has checked it out.
[00:17] [15:36] LAX: *wink*
[00:17] man
[00:17] The library. :(
[00:17] but a poster is supposed ot be on the wall
[00:17] * teh_lisa giggles
[00:17] i was there
[00:17] FIC, PAT... what does that mean to you? Possibly?
[00:18] say oh no
[00:18] fiction
[00:18] okay.
[00:18] pat must be the author
[00:18] okay.
[00:18] is the library open on sunday?
[00:18] hehe, I don't believe so.
[00:18] i cant believe how dumb i am
[00:18] i mean i was there
[00:19] I saw that in your message.
[00:19] Aw poor Lisa.
[00:19] It just didn't click at the time and that's fine.
[00:19] oh well now i can go talk to the comic guy again for fun
[00:19] ?
[00:19] I skimmed that part.
[00:19] the guy in shorts
[00:19] he was very interested
[00:20] interested in what? :)
[00:20] in the idea of the hunt
[00:20] i think
[00:21] heh
[00:21] well, it looks like you'll have two stops to make then.
[00:21] yep
[00:21] i'll tell you what though it really was a fun day
[00:22] and lots of weirdo ohio people are talking about little red riding hood :)
[00:22] :)
[00:22] argh but that log cabin
[00:23] so very grandma
[00:23] * teh_lisa grins
[00:23] The solve for the second puzzle would have given you the address to the library.
[00:23] You still might want to solve that one. I'm really not quite sure how many libraries Warren has.
[00:23] it didnt matter
[00:24] oh believe me
[00:24] they only have one
[00:24] Heh.
[00:24] * teh_lisa snickers
[00:24] lax did you look at the square you passed?
[00:24] on the way to the library
[00:25] The one where the road splits?
[00:25] * teh_lisa nods
[00:25] Not really. I was sort of in a hurry.
[00:25] there are a ton of store fronts
[00:25] it could be so quaint and nice
[00:25] all of them besides 3 are empty
[00:25] the whole square around
[00:26] I stopped at the gas station across from the Walgreens though.
[00:26] heh i didnt even see a walgreens
[00:26] LAX, so there are 32 postcards in circulation... one for each puzzle?
[00:26] i stopped at some gas station that had 2 umps and no card readers in them
[00:26] then an amsih horse and buggy passed us
[00:26] 32, 2 for each poster.
[00:27] i learned valentine doesnt like horses
[00:27] Yeah, I knew I wasn't at home there.
[00:27] its a weird place
[00:27] It's nice if you like the "small town" feel.
[00:28] yeah
[00:28] Smaller the Owensboro.
[00:28] but it was real small town
[00:28] then*
[00:28] the comic guy kept telling me how they wanted to turn it into "another small city near them" and i just nodded and follwed him around
[00:28] * teh_lisa smirks
[00:28] :)
[00:28] heh
[00:28] owensboro
[00:34] LAX, Sarah finally replied. Safe and sound.
[00:37] Really? Good to know... that's a weight off my shoulders. Thanks for getting back to me on that.
[00:38] I promised I would.
[00:38] Yes you did. And I appreciate you keeping that promise.
[00:39] Although I don't remember the word "promise" being mentioned. But I'm sure that's what you meant.
[00:40] Well, I said I would, and that's all that matters.
[00:41] On that note, I'm hitting the hay.
[00:41] okay... have a good night.
[00:41] Lisa, good luck with Warren if I don't see you.
[00:42] night chewy
[00:42] not hitting it again til monday :)
[00:43] LAX, Anxiously awaiting the release forms. Never been more excited to fill out paperwork!
[00:43] Gnight all.
[00:43] :)... night.
[00:43] * Chewy is now known as Chewy|Zzz
[00:56] * LAX has quit IRC (Quit: )

Color Legend:
LAX, bold red

What does this mean in the long run? Lisa can get her poster without mindlessly looking in the cold with her comic-book friend for 3 hours, and the last chat with Jack was real, even though a little... out there.

[ACWE][CHAT] Feb 11th Chat

It has come to our attention that the IRC name 'LAX' hasn't been registered... so take this chat for what its worth. The reason I bring this up is as the chat goes on, the chat goes from in-game to... Spice Girls and chocolate teacups.

I think its real, but no clues or locations... or really, anything, was revealed that helps us severely. This really doesn't fit the IG personally we have been accustomed to during the entire game, so take this with a grain of salt.

[18:42] * LAX has joined #xbox360contestdrawing
[18:51] * LAX is now known as LAX|Away
[19:01] * josiah has joined #xbox360contestdrawing
[19:39] * LAX|Away is now known as LAX
[19:45] Good evening.
[19:50] * Chewy|Gone is now known as Chewy
[19:50] Hey LAX
[19:51] hello
[19:51] How are things?
[19:51] Not bad at all, yourself?
[19:51] Getting nervous.
[19:51] Oh?
[19:52] I've been getting some mixed signals regarding Sarah and Jason.
[19:52] How so?
[19:53] Some of the things that I've been hearing say that Sarah might be in trouble. Others say that it is Jason who might be in trouble.
[19:54] I am not quite sure what to make of any of this though.
[19:55] Have you heard from Sarah lately?
[19:55] I haven't.
[19:56] Odd, because she's usually pretty on-time with her email replies.
[19:56] She is not responding?
[19:56] She hasn't yet.
[19:56] I haven't heard of her leaving the house at all either.
[19:57] Do you think something has already happened?
[19:57] I have no reason to yet. But that's not to say that it's not in the back of my mind.
[19:57] We can only hope for the best--- for Sarah and Jason.
[19:58] Yes. I feel that Jason's move to take the chemical home may have caused some ripples within the company that he works for.
[19:58] He took the chemical home?
[19:58] * Chewy feels out of the loop
[19:59] Was that the item in the mysterious box Sarah described in her blog?
[19:59] From what I have seen, he was the one who was responsible for the "missing" chemical.
[19:59] Some people are not so sure, but I tend to think more with logic.
[20:00] I think Kain thinks so as well, but does not have the proof he needs to prove it.
[20:00] brb
[20:00] You know of Kain's contact with Sarah, correct?
[20:02] sorry about that, had to check on something.
[20:02] And, by the way, Kain voiced his opinion on Jason's stealing-of-the-chemical before, but also stated that he won't be looking deeper into the matter. Sounds kinda fishy, especially since his message to Sarah seems quite deep indeed.
[20:02] I've been told.
[20:03] I have a feeling that Mr. Kain is trying to stear people towards not trusting me.
[20:03] Why? I do not know.
[20:03] But I intend to find out.
[20:04] I should hope so.
[20:04] There are only a couple of days left before Mr. Young returns. Hopefully I will have a chance to talk to him when he lands.
[20:06] Has anyone said anything about their contact, if any, with Mr. Kain or Sarah within the past couple of days?
[20:06] Not to my knowledge.
[20:07] But neither of them have responded to my poking and prodding.
[20:08] Don't you have some security looking out for Sarah's safety?
[20:08] Well, I respond as soon as I get a chance. Sure, it may not be what you want to hear, but atleast you get something. :)
[20:08] If you hear anything from Sarah, will you let me know? I'd like to know that she is still talking to people.
[20:09] It would definately ease my mind about this whole thing.
[20:09] Definitely.
[20:09] Okay, thank you.
[20:09] All our minds need easing of late.
[20:10] I understand that.
[20:10] I just hope that my timing is not going to be bad.
[20:10] That is the last thing that I need on my plate right now.
[20:11] Be sure to relay that chat with Jason back to us.
[20:12] I will let you know what information I was able to get out of him.
[20:12] If not you, then who ever is in this room when I come in here with it.
[20:12] Great, that's all we ask. :D
[20:12] I still do not know how much security he will have around him though.
[20:13] As long as I know that Sarah is okay and that Jason makes it home in good condition, I will be fine.
[20:13] Until then, it's going to be a long couple of days.
[20:14] For all of us.
[20:16] Until then, we'll all be trying to figure out the rest of those postcards.
[20:16] Just for "completions" sake, try and see if you can't get Sarah to give you some information on Jason. Who he knows, what his hobbies are, if she noticed any changes in his behavior over the past few weeks.
[20:16] I want to see what she really knows about this guy.
[20:17] He seems sort of quiet on the "disclosure" part of their relationship.
[20:17] No problem at all, it was something I've been meaning to do for quite some time.
[20:17] Good. Then I'm glad I brought it up.
[20:18] She should trust you and the others who have contacted me enough by now to forward that information.
[20:19] It should probably not sound too proddy though. Maybe something like "So, tell me about Jason...".
[20:19] More "interested" then "questioning", you know?
[20:19] I agree.
[20:20] She has been nothing but willful and trusting thusfar.
[20:21] Which is good. She needs that in her life right now.
[20:22] After hearing what she has about Jason, I'm pretty sure that finding people she can actually trust is high on her "to do" list.
[20:23] Oh, and about the postcards/posters...
[20:23] I think she's beginning to want to resolve this whole issue as much as we are. It can't be good for someone to not only find a past lover, but be conflicted by the acts of Jason.
[20:24] I am putting the posters on the posterlog.html page as they are found, not in the order that they belong.
[20:24] Yes, I agree.
[20:24] Yeah, I just realised that
[20:24] LAX: Yes, I noted the new top-line on posterlog this morning.
[20:24] hi, by the way
[20:25] hello, josiah.
[20:25] althoughh the two posters that you have put up fit together
[20:25] (the backgrounds)
[20:25] is that just coincidence?
[20:25] I saw that and thought that I would mention it since it would probably be confusing.
[20:26] You would have gotten it once more have been found, but I do not know what plans you have going on as far as figureing out the poster puzzle.
[20:26] Or figuring out what posters still need to be found, etc.
[20:26] That was why I put the state name and (1 of 1) on there as well.
[20:27] Thought that might be easier for you guys.
[20:27] Yeah, that helps ;-)
[20:27] Since no one will own up to finding those two on the boards (yet)
[20:27] ?
[20:28] We don't know who found the Arkansas or the Alabama posters of yet.
[20:29] We have no one to pat on the back!
[20:29] I was questioning the "boards" comment.
[20:29] But your response will do.
[20:29] I meant the contest boards
[20:29] forum
[20:30] If there are other boards then just the one that I created, that is fine. Not everyone knows everyone.
[20:30] I'm not even quite sure how you found me to begin with.
[20:30] There are just some things that I do not question, only allow them to be.
[20:30] Yeah, best way sometimes :-)
[20:31] I have that feeling in life often
[20:31] * enaxor has joined #xbox360contestdrawing
[20:32] If I was to play really dumb, I could say that I have never checked the "where the hits are coming from" link for my site.
[20:32] lol
[20:33] I just thought I'd ask first. See where you stand.
[20:33] I respect your secrecy.
[20:33] It is only fair.
[20:33] So, in return, I will say that not all of you are in the same group of people.
[20:33] Everyone has secrets. :D
[20:34] Thanks for the info
[20:34] Chewy: That is true.
[20:35] * LAX was trying to think of something a lot more clever to say then that but couldn't.
[20:35] lol
[20:36] Having the weekends "off" has it's downside.
[20:36] Having to go back on Monday?
[20:37] Well, I'm on call on the weekends.
[20:37] But other then that, yeah.
[20:37] As long as nothing important happens over the weekend I get to sit at home and ponder life.
[20:37] Sometimes Not thinking is good.
[20:38] Yeah, I'm on call too... I always get a call at the most inconvenient time
[20:38] I'm always thinking. If I'm not thinking then I'm atleast trying to do something to stimulate some brain activity.
[20:39] josiah: What do you do?
[20:39] I'm a programmer
[20:39] like solving your own postcards *giggle*
[20:40] Josiah: Interesting. What got you interested in that?
[20:40] enaxor: Why would I have to solve them? I already know the answers?
[20:40] I just always have been since my mum bought me my first computer... it just always made sense
[20:41] very true LAX
[20:41] josiah: I think they call that the "break it and put it back together" complex.
[20:42] I used to do that as a child.
[20:42] Tear something about to see how it worked.
[20:42] Yeah, something like that
[20:42] apart* not about
[20:43] But now I have so much stuff broken every time I try to put it back together it just gets more broke ;-)
[20:43] Like when you decided to take apart your nintendo :-)
[20:43] And had some screws left over
[20:43] Ah, yes. The mysterous appearing screws.
[20:43] * Chewy likes the breaking, but leaves the fixing to the pros.
[20:44] For every sock that goes missing in the dryer, a screw is born.
[20:44] Don't even get me started on the socks.
[20:44] :)
[20:44] I think someone is eating them in my house.
[20:45] Do you have kids?
[20:45] Not that I know of
[20:45] Pet?
[20:45] Yes, two cats, Ophelia and Archimedes
[20:46] Those are quite unusual pet names.
[20:47] My girlfriend named ophelia, she was trying to be posh
[20:47] I named Archimedes, just cause Pythagoras was a mouthful, but we just call him archie
[20:48] Posh? Like the hot Spice Girl. Ahhhhh, the memories.
[20:48] lol
[20:48] She's a bit rough now
[20:48] So am I.
[20:48] How is Archimedes less of a mouthful than Pythagoras? :D
[20:48] * Chewy throws in a comment about how Baby Spice was hands-down the best.
[20:48] Well, you can shorten Archimedes easier than pythagoras
[20:49] * josiah agrees with Chewy whole-heartedly
[20:49] Baby Spice... yes, she is quite the singer.
[20:49] Emma Bunton is her name.
[20:50] * Chewy puts 'Spice World' into the dusty ol' VCR.
[20:50] Not that I know anything about the Spice Girls.
[20:50] *cough*Gery*cough*
[20:51] It's spelled Geri. Duh.
[20:51] Sorry. :)
[20:51] and Mel C. and Victoria and... Mel... B?
[20:51] B, yes.
[20:52] C got cute, then went downhill fast.
[20:52] * Chewy blames this knowledge on his sister.
[20:52] She got her teeth fixed.
[20:52] I blame mine on.... ummmm....
[20:53] Those stupid marketing people who made me pay attention to them.
[20:53] * Chewy , although still whole-heartedly blaming on my sister, somehow knows all the words to like, 5 Spice Girls songs.
[20:53] I know 3 off of their 2000 album (best one by the way).
[20:54] I'm a fan of music. I think that's my problem.
[20:54] I have so many strange and unusual groups in my CD collection.
[20:55] * Chewy struggles to find a segway into a different subject.
[20:56] It's really not that hard to do.
[20:56] Say something and I'll segway for you.
[20:56] Chocolate teapots
[20:57] A sentance is better, but I'll roll with it.
[20:57] Speaking of chocolate teapots, Valentine's Day is coming up.
[20:57] And women love chocolate.
[20:57] Nicely done. Will you be sending any valentines cards?
[20:58] See? That was a nice one.
[20:58] To who? Sarah?
[20:58] To anyone?
[20:58] Surely Kain needs some love.
[20:58] Not anyone that I know of.
[20:58] Oh, yes. I forgot about him.
[20:59] As if I don't feel wierd enough around the building.
[20:59] I can hear the wispers now.
[20:59] Unless I don't sign it.
[21:00] I should set him up with someone that I work with.
[21:00] Maybe he wouldn't be such a tight wod.
[21:02] Well, I better get going. I have a lot of nothing to get done.
[21:02] Bye.
[21:02] c-ya later.
[21:02] * LAX has quit IRC (Quit: )

I'm not going to bother highlighting (I don't know a program, any suggestions?). It would be too much work manually.
