Sad news

I'm not sure who still checks this forum among the old MetaCortechs faithful, but I have some sad news to report. As a result of an email sent by a family friend to Krystyn, we learned to our great sadness that one of our fellow Mu puppetmasters, Bruce Cain-Whitlock (aka Wolf) passed away suddenly on December 12, 2009, apparently of kidney and liver failure. Wolf, who was also an original puppetmaster on the Lockjaw game and active in the UF community back in the early days, was an avid fan (and webmaster) of the Disney Haunted Mansion fansite and the "Keep To The Code" site for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean films. He was a good guy, and a great PM, and will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him.

More details about Wolf's passing can be found here:
Sorry for this cross-post, but I know that a lot of MU players who do not actively visit Unfiction anymore still have this forum on monitored alert, therefor, I'd like to point you all to this thread , where, on the third anniversary of the end of MU/Metacortechs, a print-version of the online MU Archives is presented!

[PUZZLE] Undiscovered Dina pages

As the chat and FAQ with the PMs told us there were still puzzles to be solved and pages to be found, I thought we should have a new thread to look for the missing Dina pages. He is a quote from Medemia from the [META] Loose ends... thread to start us off:

Ok, places where they may be:

*"Thick" as pea soup (as stated above)
*Bisy
*The music on the Jesse Sketch. That was never really delved into
*The butterfly on 11/15

*This quote from 10/30

I had the strangest thing happen to me this morning. I woke up after a soothing nap, and decided that I was going to open up that can of split pea soup and have it with some rye toast heels still left over from the other night.

*When taken with the "...as pea soup" post, are they interconnected somehow?

*Quote from 10/24

Since then, it's been easier doing free verse, or internal rhyme, and not sticking to formulaic orange/door hinge type stuff.

A quick list. Just looking for ideas.

[NEW] Orlando CD Recovered

Taking some time out from the very busy ARGfest schedule, with all the conferences and sessions (that's TOOC conferences and drinking sessions for those in the know), I drove over to Lake Eola Park in beautiful downtown Orlando, in search of the elusive Emerson disk.

Under a grey, rain-soaked sky, I circled the park in search of the elusive pagoda. It was easily identified, and a parking space appeared just as I rounded the corner. As I parked, the rain stopped. Surely luck was with me as I alighted from the car, and approached the pagoda.

Always suspicious, I acted like any tourist, taking a few quick snapshots, before moving in to investigate. An elderly Asian gentleman was practicing what appeared to be Tai Chi just inside the pagoda. Walking around the structure, I quickly spotted the electrical box, noticing immediately a manila mailer with the word "Emerson" written on it taped to the back side of the box.

Stepping quickly into the pagoda, I reached over the side, and tore loose the envelope. The Asian gentleman seemed surprised at my actions. "Treasure Hunt", I said, as I held the envelope for his inspection. This seemed to satisfy him, and he continued with his exercises. I left the pagoda, walking briskly back towards my car, glancing about to ensure that no one else had taken notice of my furtive activity.

A few minutes later I was on the I-4 heading towards my hotel. I opened the envelope, removed the CD, and loaded it into my laptop. Scanning the directory, I was dismayed to find that it contained the identical contents of the previously discovered CD's. While I have yet to perform a complete comparison, I think that this is merely another duplicate.

Well, it was an enjoyable outing anyway, and I've attached a few photos for your enjoyment.

I have a picture, taken so long ago...

I listened to this song today... I almost cried, hehe.

It brought back all sorts of memories, not just of the game, but of things going on in my life at the time. Pretty nutso.

It's a pretty good song, too. :D

Thanks again, for everything, PMs!
