the newest trailer from bungie has been released. and in it are bungie's usual cryptic messages, but one stands out above the rest.

"Maddie, where are you?"

major speculation has linked this quote to a british girl who went missing last year, but i personally think those people are retarded... Bungie has no reason to link a missing child to their universe whether it be ARG or other...

so what could it all mean?

I was looking around the interwebs trying to find a new lead for the game and came across this.

It shows that the site existed back on Oct 02, 2005, and made use of the URL societyoftheancients.com/robots.txt For some reason the Wayback Machine is glitched or something and you can't see the cached page from back then.

I can't see this being a lead to anything, but I thought I'd point it out.

EDIT: URL thing doesn't seem to be working (maybe because of the asterisks???) so your going to have to copy paste to get there.

Yep, i just stoped by my house for a quick game of Halo 3 (i got 1st place!) and i see a white box on my door step. It's addressed to me, from Micro$oft, and i know i didn't order anything (and my 360 was just repaired a few months back, its not my system....)
Now I know there's a gamerpic request thread, and people saying they got it for unlocking server 3...... here's where it gets sticky.....

I GOT A BOX, AND I NEVER UNLOCKED A SERVER. yep, i said it. I TRIED to unlock server 5 the last day, but i fell asleep 2 minutes before i had a key, i did however try the bounce control path before the keys were found.

inside:
1.19"x22" black IRIS "glyph" poster (follow the signs...)and
2.a neato H3 keychain with a "3" on it that spins.

no gamerpic code, but then again, i thougt i was going to get nothing :)

So, if any of you have completed the campaign on legendary (or cheated and just did the half of the last level :P like me) youve seen:

A chunk of the ship the Arbiter and Chief were on, after the ending after the credits. The only catch is theres a dimly lit planet behind it. The planet catchs a ray of light, and you can see its covered with a machine-like surface with small crevices of blue light

Ive looked at numerous forums, some say its a machine-planet from Marathon: Durandal linking it (if it is: HA! Told you!) to Marathon. Some say its Onyx, but isnt Onyx in slipspace?
I have a feeling this is going to end with me getting flamed again :D

Hello, new member here. I love ARGs (especially IRIS), and thought it was about time I signed-up. Great board, by the way.

Anyway; to the point. I participated big-time in the IRIS ARG, but I never was able to unlock a server (I was too slow :( ), so I could never get any swag. I would like something to show for participating/being a part of the IRIS ARG, so I've been frantically searching for someone with an extra IRIS gamerpic code. Does anyone here have an extra they'd be willing to let go of for a fellow Halo fanatic, or knows someone that would be willing to give theirs away?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. If someone does find me a code, I will try make it worth your while. :)

There has been many reports that the limited edition game disk comes out scratch, just my luck that is the one that I reserved. To no surprise mine came out scratched too. Now I have to send it to Microsoft and wait another two weeks. Well it won't be much of a problem since I had to send out my 360 for repair this past Friday. Is so much of an injustice....
