I'm assuming this is a ROT cipher, but I can't seem to figure out what it means. Anyone who can help me out on this one?

The fastest way to test your theory is to plug the string into a massive ROT engine. A good one is hosted right here on Unfiction. You'll get a page with all 26 possible shift values, which makes it easy to spot the correct solution.

I messaged the ARGnet about what I found on Facebook, who prompted me to this thread, hence I posted it in here. As a new face, I am unaware of how true ARG players work but I'm definitely interested to learning this particular type of game. It's caught my attention definitely.

Been a bit out of it this week due to massive heaps of work I had to do ( gigging and whatnot), but I'm noticing I need to learn more on encoding and whatnot. So far all I found was a reply by Uno to the post he made for the Youtube link ( posted it twice, in fact) that simply said '13'. I'm thinking it might be for something that will come out this year, but what it is I am having difficulty figuring out. He's obscuring it quite nicely.

I too saw that note from Uno the other day but just got around to looking at it last night. I found a lot of different paths, but none that really lead anywhere as far as I could tell.

Today, he posted another message on Facebook. "Samuel is merely a crimson fish." along with a link to a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRrlboVUduk

The messages in the video and description lead me to believe there will definitely be something coming along sometime.

The message in the video:

is a standard pigpen cipher.

Decoding it you get PXZNZEPCZX
They painted it from right-to-left, so reverse the letters to XZCPEZNZXP

Do a ROT-15 on that and you get MORE TO COME.

ROT-15 is slightly interesting to me, perhaps the 15 is a hint to date?

The message in the description:

is standard morse code using x for dit and o for day.

Substituting gives you:

first, welcome to unfiction.

second, if you are posting spoilers, just hide the data, do not hide the descriptive text which would let someone know what is being hidden, so they know whether or not to take a peek.

third, if this is a new game (or a new chapter or trail, even for an old game), you'll get more eyes on it in our News & Rumors section, rather that posting in the archives. (my personal pet peeve is that archives should be a vault where no posting should be possible anyway.)

lastly, your block of "code" is easily solved.
Spoiler: data and solution

Step one is to smash it all into word lengths:

Step two is a simply ROT substitution:
THIRTEEN ARISING . FROM THE GHOST OF ELEVEN . THE BYHES HAVE COOLED

Hang out here long enough and you'll learn to throw blocks of cipher text into all sorts of standard decription tools. (also, I will ask a moderator to move this thread to the News section. I see many more pages to load beyond this rabbithole.)

Backtracking to the home index, I find both "13" and "badscary" as only two of twelve possible branches, each with its own trail of links to follow. I have not yet determined whether any of this is new content or just something old that was recently brought up again.

Hey guys,

Today as I turned on Facebook, a guy by the name of Uno Hallucinine posted the following link:

Knowing this is the guy who did the ARG for the '9' movie, I am now a bit lost in the rabbit hole he put before me. Am I mistaken it's a an ARG or am I actually on the right track? As a newbie to this sort of thing, it is quite confusing.

If you click the right eye of the gasmask, you'll be taken to this video on youtube, which can also be found on his channel 'Silver Ladder'.

If you click the left eye, you are taken to a page with the text:
The host harbors the parasite.
When clicking on the final word, you are taken to a page with the text:
Just remember, you invited me in.
I couldn't find anything, so I highlighted the page and saw the shape of a man's face, almost like a mug shot.

After this, I have been unable to find anymore clues.
