Beyond Jericho

Hi, all. I'm doing research on Jericho and have been trying fruitlessly to locate the one episode made for "Beyond Jericho." If anyone happens to see this post and has access to it or can help me locate it, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

As it turns out, mstrmnd is the company behind Tom Tooman. I sent them an email a few days ago looking for some closure on two specific puzzles: the glyphs page that was beyond itwillhappen and how we were supposed to find Tooman. I'll attach that email and the response.

Masterminds at Mstrmnd,

As a follower from the start, I've always wondered who to thank for this game.

Tom Tooman was amazing. From the bottom of my heart: thank you.

I do have a couple of questions I hoped you could answer, so for the rest of my time playing ARGs I'm not left wondering, "What about these puzzles?" I went back time and time again to try to solve the glyph puzzle that followed the card game at Sacred Hat, I remember having dreams of those tiles, the text boxes, and the "left hint," and "right hint." Can you please, please explain to me how that worked?

Secondly- I know in the last bit, we were supposed to find Tooman- what were we supposed to do? Where did we go wrong?

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you.

tygr20

Eric,

Many many thanks for your thoughts and note. I personally followed your path intently and was very excited to observe your discovery process.

The glyph game was designed around a date and time. Not one that we chose, but one that players were invited to create. We had a range selected and kept a door open. The game was finishable without this glyph arena, but it was my hope that the players would select an end date and in effect, be somewhat aware they had chose a time similarly to how an a'jkin 'chooses' time. Instead of solving it for you, why don't I consider a cool way of making it easier for you to solve it and then let you see what were up to?

It was our intention from the beginning to make Tom Tooman a new kind of game. Finding Tom was a multilayered probe of insight. I would say you found Tom the most of any player. Other players like Het Masteen came close too,
finding Tom meant deciding which person he was in the frames of the stream (even his POV, which is the first shot of the stream), which voice he was on the radio, etc.

Crucially, no one was wrong. If you thought the sticker and the final image of the stream (of stars) were mirrors, then you found Tom as far as the game would go (to that point). And of course, if Jericho had succeeded, then there would me many more findings of Tom on the horizon.

Let's stay in touch!

Kevin

Interesting. So maybe we'll get another crack at some of this??? *crosses fingers*

Housekeeping Request

Three weeks since the last post, a lot longer since the last 'update', I think it's more or less safe to say the game has died. Would anyone object to archiving this? (the alternative being moving it to the Ephemeral section, hoping that there might come a revival)

I think we can safely call this one dead, the only way I see it coming back is if SciFi picks it up for season 3.5. I see no reason to place this anyplace but full on Archive. Tooman is dead, long live Tooman.

I am new at this I found the Password to the Ravenwood thing somwhere
But does anyone know how to log into the ones it says you cant log in to?

Lorem ipsum is filler text- see http://www.lipsum.com for more info. As far as logging into the sections it won't let you log into- you can't. We were only allowed access to 5 or 6 "operations," and the rest are either locked, or assumed to be nothing. Probably more filler.

but printing the Document Properties you get this

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/1834/11982881151kf3.png

I wonder who this Marcin Leskiewicz is?

Easy enough to see by simply plugging it into google:

La BOITE - Montreal based design studio.
marcinleskiewicz.com
probably a behind-the-scenes slip up

(and see how i changed your embedded image to a simple link? not only does it prevent the forum from stretching larger than my monitor, but it doesn't steal bandwidth from imageshack every time someone loads this thread.)
