Everyone -- as we discover new things about the trailer & movie, PLEASE take the time to update the wiki. As Euchre has wisely pointed out in the past, now that this new trailer is released and the movie will be coming out, interest in this movie is about to step up amongst the general public. We want to provide a good resource for them so that we don't have people coming on here having to search through 8,000 pages of forum to find answers, and getting frustrated and posting "trout" questions instead.

Those that have already been contributing have done a fantastic job, but since the pace is picking up and things are coming at us faster, it'll need all the help it can get to keep up and stay current!

If you don't want to learn the programming language or bother signing in to the wiki, just write an article about ANYTHING Cloverfield related and post it in this thread and I'll put it up on the wiki (with due credit of course).

OK, I hope not.

But...

I watched today "The Darjeeling Limited". (Cool movie, btw.)

I also wanted to order the ticket for "Cloverfield" (start at 31st January in Germany). But the online ticket ordering system cannot check it till Tuesday (29th January). And the people at the ticket counter didn't knew anything about the movie coming next week ("Clover...what?"). The most discouraging thing is: even in the monthly gratis cinema magazine there wasn't anything about "Cloverfield" (in January and February issues). The only hint about the movie I've found in one cinema journal was just like "we cannot write nothing about Cloverfield, because we've got too few information about it".

So, I would say, marketing in Germany failed. It was too secret and this secrecy was counterproductive. Only the movie itself can save Cloverfield. (And it'll do it, I hope).

OK, to be fair: the "Cloverfield" standee was sighted in Munich in November 2007 ( http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/11/cloverfield-movie-poster.html ).
And they show TV spots everyday.
And there are 2-3 humble German blogs about Cloverfield ( :wink: ).
And German Wiki article about Cloverfield ( :wink: ).
But beside of it, there was no another information about the movie in Germany.

I won't wonder if in the day of the premiere in the cinema will be only German Cloverfield nerds like me.

In USA was marketing great vehicle for the movie success. In Japan it seems to get original way with manga. In Germany it wasn't such good.

But I cannot wait till 31st January. It will rock.

I've tried searching and couldn't seem to find any discussions about this. Anyway is there information as to how the chuai destruction videos were discovered in the first place? Did the puppetmaster randomly post these videos on youtube? or was it a player to who posted these clips on youtube AFTER finding it someplace else? I've always been so curious and hope anyone can shed some light into this

Five join David Goyer's 'Unborn'!

Meagan Good, Carla Gugino, Jane Alexander, Idris Elba and Rhys Coiro have joined the cast of David Goyer's Unborn.

The supernatural thriller, which will be produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes company, revolves around a girl haunted by the soul of a boy who died in the Holocaust.

Gary Oldman and Cloverfield's Odette Yustman are already among the cast.

Oldman plays a Rabbi who helps exorcise Yustman's tormented character. Good stars as Yustman's best friend, with Gugino playing her mother.

Alexander is to play a Holocaust survivor, Elba a priest and Coiro a college professor.

Production on Unborn begins today in Chicago.

according to the despoiler wiki it says that it might be possible that a bunch of random numbers similar to that on the sticker on the DVD and says that it was on the yellow sticker that says, "new declassifed info.." the wiki says that the alyese hanssen username didnt work nor did teddyhanssen so i was wondering if we can try to figure this out with a joint effort at UNfiction :D

Apparently after she got bitten with those "Spiderish" animals that dropped from MGP, she felt dizzy and when she replied "Guys, I don't feel good," her eyes, mouth and nose started to bleed. What happened to her behind the curtain? Did those scientists kill her? I'm really curious to find out what caused her to bleed and death. Intoxication from the bites?
