had to google puresouls,obviously i missed that revelation.
seems more like mockery than an actual pharma group,that will
stay in the plot though..
i kinda had a feeling that no matter what real presciption medication does,
this was maybe a hint to it being addictive and the act of throwing that pill in that container is like an addict finding an old stash of drugs in his house and makes sure he gets rid of it before the craving hits him..but i guess he would have flushed it then :?

Mmm, I guess I could have worded that better. I didn't mean to imply that I think ECKVA/Puresoul has any direct connection to the Operator. I was thinking more along the lines of... that ECKVA and/or Puresoul are sort of like the Umbrella Corporation from the Resident Evil series. They have a public face where they make regular products, but then they have their shadier shit that the general public isn't aware of. Except instead of making Bioweapons, they deal with supernatural stuff.

So perhaps Preaxin was developed to give their employees resistance to or possibly even control over a specific supernatural entity (or maybe just supernatural entities/ghosts/demons/whatever in general). But Preaxin had also been engineered to be an antidepressant/antipsychotic (or maybe anticonvulsant?) so that they could market it to the publc as well. And Preaxin's "antihorror" effect just happened to work pretty well against the Operator too, so Tim just inadvertently benefited from Preaxin's true use.

I am assuming that ECKVA takes place in the same universe as MH of course, since it's been my understanding that ECKVA is a "sequel" of sorts that is set in the same universe. I guess I could be wrong on that.

The only "theory" I have so far is that Preaxin is the medication Tim was taking in Marble Hornets. That could possibly mean that this series will delve into the origin of this drug and maybe we'll get an idea of why is makes you Operator resistant. As for how ECKVA would tie into that, I don't really know. Perhaps ECKVA was a subsidiary or partner company to Puresoul Healthcare (the company that produced Preaxin, apparently)?

At this point I don't think we have much information on ECKVA itself. That makes it hard to guess if maybe ECKVA was an evil company dabbling in dark shit or if it was just a normal company and the person/people antagonizing S Hawkins are completely unaffiliated with the company and are just using its name for some unknown purpose.

I mean. I have a hunch that ECKVA has little to no connection with Marble Hornets, and Troy just has a fascination with suspicious medication, Claridryl style.

But, idk. My hunch is also that there is a direct link to the company and this isn't just somebody using its name for symbolic purposes against Hawkins. Granted, my guess is that it's one or maybe two people who used to have some affiliation pulling the punches. I feel as if the Operator has no link to the medicine or the company, but I guess we'll see about that.

I went back and watched Entry 87 again, and it's definitely not the same bin. The bin Tim threw his mask into was red and was next to a little wooden gate. This bin was blue and was not near a wooden gate as far as I can see.

However, I think it was definitely drawing parallels with the original scene. I haven't seen any dumpsters that have a sliding doors like that around where I live. Idk, maybe dumpsters like that are common down south, I can't be sure. But I feel like there's no way this wasn't intentional.

Actually, I guess that means this episode had two callbacks to Entry 87. One, with the faint sirens in the background, and two, with the throwing something away into a bin scenes.

As for why Hawkins would drive to a random location to throw away a pill, I only have two ideas.
First, he could live in an apartment complex and that dumpster was actually just right there in his apartment's parking lot.
Two, he's feeling a bit paranoid and just didn't want the pill in his house any longer.

I don't really know why he would film himself doing it though. Maybe he's paranoid and constantly films himself too?

couldnt remember the exact entry,but that thought hit me too :)
i think its pretty much an antidepressant kind of medication so far.
still have no idea why he would
a)go the extra mile and get rid of a single pill in such a container..
living in europe I dont know if these are commonly standing around everywhere,but I just assume they dont..why not just throw it away,or keep it,flush it,leave it there
b)filming that action,..like WHY?!
or maybe I DONT SEE WHATS IMPORTANT about that one

If we are assuming that this is taking place in the MH universe and that Preaxin is what Tim was taking, then I would guess that it's an Anti-Psychotic used to treat Schizophrenia and possibly Bipolar as well? I'm not sure if we can assume that it's the same drug though. In the case that it is not, then I would guess that it's an Anti-Depressant for Depression.

And I think the protagonist is called D Hawkins or something? :? Not entirely sure.

EDIT: As for why he wears gloves, I have no idea. The only thing I can think of is that he's an extreme germophobe who doesn't want to touch anything, or that he's a criminal who doesn't want to leave his fingerprints anywhere. Or maybe he's a doctor/nurse who just forgets to take off his gloves a lot.

I wouldnt doubt that he has some other friends wo are good actors too,and would do it for free,just to be a part of a youtube series thats a sequel to mh.

Maybe he only intends this series to have one character, but I hope that's not the case. Like I said before, having a story with one character is possible but you have to be a pretty damn good writer to make an entire series revolving around one character interesting enough. And after how disappointing season 3 of MH was, and the mediocrity at best of CL44, I honestly don't feel optimistic that Troy has the writing skills to pull it off. :? (But I would of course be more than happy to have Troy prove me wrong.)

The Bro Trinity had been riding a wave of mythos popularity at the time. Back in 2012-2013, Slenderman was a big deal, which is why everybody responded positively to the reawakening of Found Footage Horror. Now the internet has moved on. The kids who were into Slenderman and Marble Hornets four or five years ago have graduated high school, have jobs, some even spouses. They've been replaced by middle schoolers who think they're cool for knowing the mythos of Five Nights at Freddies better than common core math. This kind of stuff is why reinvention is necessary to stay relevant.

All that said, Troy and co. were young and ambitious and came in on a cultural tide. Now Troy, who has lost two staples of the previous series thanks to some apparent poor decision-making, is on his own, riding the foam bubbles of something that most people have outgrown. I'm not sure if he loves his work enough to put in the effort to reinvent and advertise it, and the timing is poor besides. Not to mention that somethings just don't work without the original chemistry, and now that Joseph and Tim are gone, I'm not sure he can stand alone. Not because he's not talented, but because he, as a singular entity, is not interesting.

It's sad how things change.

I'm not too sure about that, it seems like a lack of available actors is a problem he had throughout his work on Marble Hornets. Like how he and Tim and Joseph had to take turns playing Hoodie because Brian wasn't available a lot of the time, or how they couldn't bring Amy back in Season 3 because they lost contact with the girl who played her.
