what was that awesome, simple piano piece?

It played during the documentary when the group in the chapel of the chimes turns on the stereo, and again when Organeil is discussing how he first met Eva in the park.

It's a well known classical piece, but I can't recall and it's driving me batscrap.
Thanks if you can help.

The Institute Film Induction Card

Okay, so I have no idea if you can still get anything for filling out the induction card for the film, but on the off chance you can I filled it out anyway.

I'm 99.9% sure that I have the right answer but when I fill it out on the website, it comes up as wrong no matter how I type it. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is this just because I'm too late and it simply can't be done anymore?

I hope it's okay to post this here. If not I apologize... I am very new here.

[OT] The 2 Tone Game

I just heard about this, I have no other info, and I won't be playing it myself, but I figured it might be of interest to those of you playing other puzzle trails in San Francisco:

http://www.2tonegame.org/about/game

The 2 Tone Game consists of some activities. These activities are puzzles, codes, or stranger things. You "solve" each activity to find a solution: a word, name, or phrase. When you enter that activity's solution word, you "unlock" more activities.

Some of these activities, you can solve wherever you are.
Some of these activities only make sense at certain places in San Francisco.
Altogether, there's about a dozen activities.

You need to login to play, it seems, from their home page http://www.2tonegame.org/

::: SOMETHING IS AFOOT IN MARIN COUNTY :::

::::BEGIN COMMUNICATION::::

SCANDAL! OUTRAGE! SOMETHING IS BREWING AT THE MILL VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL AND IT REEKS OF BREATHARIANISM.

FIELD AGENTS HAVE ASCERTAINED INFORMATION CONCERNING A PROPAGANDA FILM ABOUT THE LOATHED JEJUNE INSTITUTE BEING SCREENED AT THE MVFF IN A FEW WEEKS.

THE FILM FESTIVAL ATTRACTS MANY SUSCEPTIBLE MINDS IN SEARCH OF A GOOD STORY WHICH THE JI SEEKS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF BY EXPOSING AUDIENCES TO A LOOK INTO A SKEWED PARODY OF OUR METAPHYSICAL STRUGGLE OVER THE PAST YEARS. CONCEITEDLY TITLED "THE INSTITUTE" THIS FILM, NEITHER COMPLETELY FACT OR FICTION, BLURS THE LINES OF REALITY AND ABSCONDS WITH THE MENTAL FACULTIES OF ITS VIEWERS. IT HAS MANAGED TO INTEGRATE STOLEN EPWA DEBRIEFING TESTIMONIALS FROM SOME OF OUR HIGHEST AGENTS TO HELP CREATE THEIR OWN TWISTED NARRATIVE.

QUICKLY, AGENTS, WE MUST DESCEND ONTO THIS SCREENING LIKE SO MANY PIGEONS ON STALE BREAD.

WHILE THERE ARE TWO SCREENINGS, OCTOBER 11TH AND 14TH, IT'S THE 11TH WE MUST BE ESPECIALLY WARY OF. INTELLIGENCE GAINED HAS TIPPED THE EPWA TO THEIR RECRUITING TRUMP CARD: AN APPEARANCE OF THE FALSE NONCHALANCE MONGER HIMSELF, OCTAVIO COLEMAN ESQ.! WE HAVE GLEANED THAT NOT ONLY WILL THE MAN OF INFAMY BE PRESENT AT THE THURSDAY SCREENING BUT HE WILL PERSONALLY CHOOSE AMONG THE AUDIENCE A SINGULAR INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN THE RANKS OF SOME NEW CONGLOMERATE CALLED "THE LATITUDE SOCIETY" .

THIS, FELLOW DENIZENS, IS OUR TIME TO STRIKE! WE MUST NOT ONLY PROTEST THIS SLANDEROUS FILM BUT WE MUST ALSO SEED WITHIN ITS AUDIENCE OUR OWN AGENTS FOR A CHANCE OF SUBTERFUGE. WHAT BETTER PLACE TO TAKE DOWN OCTAVIO AND HIS ILK BUT TO INFULTR8 IT FROM WITHIN?

TICKET INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND ::HERE::
WHILE WE RESENT HAVING TO PARTIALLY FUND THIS CALAMITY AND BY EXTENSION THE INSTITUTE ITSELF WE UNDERSTAND THAT A $12 ADMISSION FEE IS A PALTRY SACRIFICE FOR THE PRIZE OF ACCESS TO THEIR LATEST INNER SANCTUM.

REMEMBER THE ::ACTION:: AND BRING WITH YOU THE INSTRUMENTS OF DISSENT. BANNERS! SIGNS! COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUES! WHATEVER YOU SEE FIT TO INFORM THE MALLEABLE MUNDANES FROM BARING THIS FALSE WITNESS.

STAY TUNED TO OUR BOOK OF FACES FOR ANY POSSIBLE UPDATES ON THE SITUATION.
[META] A thread for the meta-minded

Just thought i'd make a thread where we can discuss the meta details about this ARG. i'll go first:

Eva has undergone chrono-retro transmogrification!:

photos of Eva as she appeared at the beginning:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/everfalling/3803142129/

photos of Eva as they appear right now in the ARG according to Kevin's blog:

http://rememberingeva.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/shrine1.jpg?w=400&h=274
http://rememberingeva.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/bethandeva.jpg?w=432&h=514

i'm guessing the nonchalance.com revamp might have to do with, at the very least, altering the new image in the profiles.

strange. i wonder what happened to the original Eva? i don't like the new one as much. :/

Something similar to Jejune in SF?

Let me preface this by appologizing if this is the wrong forum, and by saying that I'm totally new to the whole ARG thing.

That being said, I did Act I and part of Act II earlier this year, and was totally bummed to find out Jejune is over. I know nothing will ever be quite "the same" as Jejune, but are there other active games of this sort going on in the bay area?

The Repository

Now that we have access to the repository we can start joining forces again. We kinda split off and formed little treehouses for the sake of developing our mix tapes and stories but i feel like that started to split us up as a community.

now that we're in the repository the forks in the road, as it were, can junction back into a single highway of the mind and we can continue our thoughts and ideas like we were in the trail head thread.

For obvious reasons links to the repository won't be shown here but we can continue to use this forum as a platform for discussing what happens next without holding back in the trail head thread or spoiler-tagging everything we do.

I hope i'm not taking too big of an initiative here but i feel strongly that we need to come back together and start talking as a whole and i donno how effective that'd work with just the contact list in the repository.

Leave No Man Behind.

Something was blatantly clear yesterday-- a lot of Squadrons have dwindled to near nothing, and now that the repository is Public I thought, just maybe someone other than me might want to create a new squadron, or maybe fill some holes in a teeny squadron.

Let me know if you're down for some mix tape awesomeness.

And maybe, just maybe... I might have just found my little niche in this 2nd layer of Elsewhere.

Sgt Tashigi Squadron Yenta?

Now that it's over, how close can we newbies get?

Hi all,
I started the game at the very beginning of April, not knowing it'd be ending later this month. I'm wondering, now that it's even now that it's over, how far along I could get? Lots of Act II is still in place:

107.9 is up, the merchants still have coins, the EWPA site still functions.

But other stuff seems like it's going to be difficult. Some things have an easy workaround

Sounds of Ascension

But I'm wondering, is it even possible to continue now in any satisfying way, when people and resources just won't be around? Is enough of the adventure information-based, where this forum could keep us moving, to make it worth going on? Thanks for the help!

Parallels between The Game and The Jejune Institute

Remember the 1997 Michael Douglas/Sean Penn film The Game ? (If not, I highly recommend renting it, it's a fun movie.)

There are definitely some parallels between this film and the Jejune Institute. Not sure if this is intentional or not.

Here's a few similarities:
Both games begin in an office building in the Financial District of San Francisco.
The Socio-Reengineering Seminar pre-screening video is very similar to a segment in The Game, which can be partially seen in the trailer (from about 0:40-0:42).
In both final acts the game's purpose is reveled after multiple plot twists, and it's the same purpose that was plainly stated at the very beginning.
Can you think of any others?
