It's totally cool Daeld. Sometimes unexpected things happen and no one can do anything to change that. Thank you for PMing this even up to this point! It takes dedication to do all of this. If I may have one request (I'm not sure how others feel about this), I think it would be nice to have a very brief synopsis of how this *would* have ended had it continued- provided you actually knew how it would end.

So once again thanks. I look forward to any ARGs you may be PMing in the future.

No worries, man. It was fun while it lasted! I only wish I could have been there for the first one. You obviously put a lot of time and thought into this, so I'm sorry things turned out the way that they did. Best of luck to you and yours during what sounds like a trying time. I hope to see you around here again before too long!

Hey Daeld, sorry to hear that you've had some real life problems, and I (and I'm sure everyone else) completely understand. As with the original RB, playing this was really fun, and I look forward to any ARGs you may be the PM for in the future.

Hi guys!

It has been a very long time since I've been able to come to uF. I need to apologise for suddenly abandoning the game. My family and I had very unexpected news that has thrown our world upside down. I'm not in the habit of talking about my personal life online, but I felt I owed you all at least an apology if not a full explanation.

At this stage, I cannot pick up the game (and by this stage I would imagine there would be little or no interest!)

I feel awful for having abandoned you all without having the time to let you know that I had to go away (like I said it was unexpected). I am back now, but I don't think it is fair on anyone for me to pick up where we left off. Important dates and events have been and gone that cannot be replaced in the timeline.

I would like to thank all of you who played the this second (would-have-been-the-finale) incarnation of RB. It has been a great pleasure. I hope to be able to come back some day, but at the moment that is not possible. Thank you all and I hope you can accept my apology.

Just quickly wanted to say, I'm sorry, but I couldn't keep on playing. However, I could still update the Language thread. If you have something new for the Language thread you could add it in a reply and I add it to the original post.

I had already told OP about him possibly being FeGrelw when I first got the message from TEDO about going after the last Watcher, I didn't think it could cause any harm (though looking back now I guess it could have  ). Here's what he emailed to me today (I also told him about Abie and Eve):

That is terrible about Abie and Eve!

I am familiar with that term...FeGrelw...but I'm not sure why. What does it mean?

It is not my name.

Yeah, I got the same email, carpathian. Unless someone has something they're not sharing, we've made little to no progess over the past couple weeks. Maybe he can give us a push in the right direction?

Mail from OP

O.P: I must apologise. I have had a very disconcerting few weeks. Since my last communication I have been in a hospital in Bristol. I came back to the hotel room after writing my last e-mail to find a group of people in black clothes going through my room. I thought they must be the TEDO because they had found the stones that I had and were putting them in sacks. Naturally I tried to wrestle them off them, but there being four of them and just one of me, well let us just say that the Orthopaedic Surgeon says I'm lucky they just broke my left leg and my right forearm. I was in the intensive care unit with some head injuries and some amnesia. THey said that they tried to contact my family, but no one answered their calls (no surprise here). I must say that I am lucky to be alive. I thought that it was the TEDO, but the police say that it is a local youth gang which has been plaguing the neighbourhood of my hotel recently.

In my absence, has there been any progress?

New email from TEDO:

I have those that travelled through time.
Now captive, their secret is mine.

Like a deer before a Master Archer,
I will take the last remaining Watcher.

I think OP may be FeGrelw, (he's the only Watcher that I know, anyway  )

"Guard your name well. Time is not something that runs in just a simple line. You are the branch of someone who once watched, but now acts . Reveal your name to none that request it."

It's all coming together now (possibly). Frederick Granton sounds awfully similar to FeGrelw as well. I'm going to send OP an email warning him to be cautious as he may be TEDO's next target. (I'm not going to tell him what we may have found out about his identitiy- it may throw him off since he doesn't know me yet, and I want him to trust me).

It's been my experience with this game that it tends to move a bit slower than some of the other games, haha. I would bet that figuring out that note is the best way to proceed, but I'm not sure how to go about that. Since nobody is stepping up and suggesting that they have been told how to solve it, I think we should send OP a cry for help. I'm going to send him an email letting him know that we're having some trouble with the numbers, and see if he has any help for us.

Well it looks like we have several ways we can go at this point, none of which seem easy.

The first is to figure out the note, which no one knows how to decode. If whomever was told how to decode it steps up and says so we would be good. Or we could try to contact ThisEve and see if she could tell someone else how to decode it. The issue with that though is that she *might* be dead. TEDO claims she is, but I'm not sure I would trust them on this without evidence.

The second is to contact ThatEve and Abie (they are still together... correct?). The issue with that is that ThatEve seems to be ignoring people. I'm tempted to send her a tweet on twitter, but I'm not sure if she would respond since she doesn't know me at all.

The third way is to try and scrape up some info on "Frederick Granton". The only solid info I have been able to find on that name is that Frederick Granton is a fictional character in an old book/TV show called "The Queen's Husband". I have no idea what it's about though. I cannot find a synopsis about it. FG could be anagram (like OP Smith is stop him) but I'm not seeing anything there.

Anyone else have any good ideas? It's been several days since we have made any progress. I am fairly new to ARGs and may be wrong, but wouldn't that usually mean that we are missing something considering how long it's been since we progressed?

@aridsky TEDO's email is tesmnaetermuldhremol@gmail.com but, you'll want to be careful when dealing with them. They lie. A lot  .

Also, got another email back from OP after showing him the email from TEDO that made me ask OP for his name:

I guess I owe you an explanation. I haven't told you all that you should know about me. Although I remember all of my life very well, my memories prior to my visit to the mountain on that fateful night are different to my memories since. They feel like someone else's memories. They feel almost like a dream from long ago. So your e-mail from the TEDO is interesting in that it mentions that "he seems to have forgotten all". It feels almost like the memories before the night on the mountain are like a shadow or a cloud over something more. I can't explain it, but it seems like there's something missing; I'm not sure what. As for my "true" name, well that's a little more complicated. Binsakne told me that my "real" name was not my "true" name. My real name is Frederick Granton. But Binsakne told me that my real name was "just a mask" and that my true name was more of a title. He said it had power and that I must keep it hidden from the world until the final challenge (whatever that means!).

I must say that I am a little uneasy about your conversations with the TEDO, but at the moment, I've got nobody else to trust. By the way, have you or any of your colleagues heard from the Eve from the other world? She has not replied to my e-mails for over a week now. I hope she's well.

So, has anyone talked to ThatEve in a while?

Btw, I also reassured OP that I am not siding with TEDO. Already (kinda) went down that path in RabbitBlack, so this time I'm staying fully on the good side :D .
