Weiss says: Weiss here. How can I help you?
You say: Codeword: Northridge

Weiss Says: Sorry to send you out so quick again, Zydeco, but we need your help.
A freelance computer hacker named JohnnyReb is setting up a web site for us that
can monitor anyone who logs on to it, and is dropping the IP Address. It's a short
string of numbers. I need you to follow his lead to the drop location, and respond
back wth the IP Address using 'Northridge: [IP address]'. He usually leaves his first
contact at UltimateRollercoaster.com. He's been playing a lot of RollerCoaster
Tycoon lately.
I love jamming to music when I play RT2 (but not when then bumper car groove
kicks in - I LOVE that!).

My current choice: Rosey, "Dirty Child".
Have you ever felt the DROP on the Magnum?
My favorite roller coaster has to be the Magnum XL200 at Cedar Point in Sandusky,
Ohio. It's amazing. Check it out.
recently received an a-mail from a yahoo.com user that told about a rogue agent posting to the Alias Online Adventure. I originally e-mailed him about help with one of the missions. The User's email was full of information about someone threatening the Alias Online Adventure game. He said he needed my help to get the identity of the rogue poster. Could this be a continuance of the alias web puzzle we know and love? please help!

I'm a big fan of Alias and just stumbled upon this game. I'd love to see more people discussing it here since the Yahoo groups are so hard to follow.

I'm interested in knowing how the omnifam.org website became known. How did players initially discover it?

Tips for playing the underground game

Again, from the amazing Signalost:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aliaswebpuzzle/message/4133

This game was reminiscnent of Tombraider with all the switches,
training mission, artifact, mansion, and puzzles needed to be solved.
This was a cool free game to play, although the download requires a
fast connection or a longtime on dialup. The controls could use a bit
of work since you would need the arrow keys and mouse to manuver but
then you need the "q" and "e" keys to fight. This means you may need
three hands to be able to compentently move around when fighting bad
guys. Luckily the first mission doesn't require you to throw punches
or kicks. It takes only a few minutes in the training level to get
used to the controls.

I have prepared a walkthrough in case someone is playing this game and
may be stuck. For more info on controls press the F1 key during the
game.

mission:
Although some of the order of events can vary, you can complete the
mission without exactly doing this step by step. These are small
notes rather than explicit descriptions of what to do:

Objectives:
Glass with fingerprint on table farthest from room entrance.

Lipstick bomb distraction: Make sure the guard is downstairs and
walking away from the steps as you run up to second floor up
the stairs on your right. At the end of the wall straight ahead is a
table with the detonation device to be planted. Get to switch two
inside the closet then run as fast as you can back down before the
gaurd returns.

Turn on switch three and four.

Time to get into the restricted area. Stand in the adjacent room with
the fireplace. Activate lipstick detonator. Run to the restricted
access and use the fingerprint access mechanism. Open the first door
on your right for later. The room has the artifact and needs the
final switch in the safe to be accessible.

Avoid the guard with the gun as he makes his rounds through the
hallways by hiding in one of the available rooms.
Once you enter the corner room, your cellphone will beep. press f4
and press the arrow button to get to messages.
A message will show giving the combination to the safe: 8336942
Open the sliding frame, enter the combo into the pad, open the safe,
trigger the Rambaldi switch, and retrieve the document.

Avoiding the guard, run to the otehr end of the hallway. If needed, a
medic kit is in the room to theleft closest to the exit.

Use the fingerprint pad to open the door and you will be in the back
area.

Go back inside and avoid the guard as you go back up the stairs on
your left. Now go to the other room you haven't entered with the bed,
chairs, fireplace and table... to the left of the bed on the
nightstand is the communicator. Replace that and then head back
downstairs. Run to the backyard again to the south wall farthest from
the house to the exit gate and finishing the first mission.

Rambaldi switch locations and artifact info:
Switch one inside safe with kdirectorate document.
Switch two in closet of bedroom closest to lipstick detonator table on
second floor.
Switch three in empty conference room by restricted area.
Switch four in the back north east wall outside.
Opening the switches opens up a secret opening in a room where the
bonus rambaldi artifact is located.
This room is the first one on your right when entering the restricted
area.
The artifact looks like a pile of logs on your left against the wall.

F1- help menu showing what controls do what
F4- press the up arrow on the nokia cellphone to get to messages
V- toggles first person view point

Bug/cheat trick: When the guard in on the first level, you can stand
in front of him to force him to move back. Make him go towards one of
the doors that leads to the back. Make sure this door is open too.
When part of his body is halfway outside, shut the door. He will be
stuck in the door and cannot get out. This will allow you to go
upstairs any time you want since there is only one guard that is now
stuck.
