Just got this email...

Dear TimeHunt players,

We are planning a gathering of sorts this autumn on the theme of TimeHunt, to give you all an opportunity to meet eachother, as well as the organizers and designers of the game.
The event will take place in the Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov (see the town's website at http://www.ckrumlov.cz) from the 8th to the 15th September 2004.
Won't you come?
We are organising social and cultural events, formal and informal Forums and round table discussions featuring the kind of eclectic mix of great minds that you have seen contributing to TimeHunt, across a broad spectrum of themes derived from the Hunt, such as
Science & Imagination
The Philosophy of TimeHunt,
The historical basis of the ideas in TimeHunt and their relevance in the present day.
Art & Computer gaming,
Also fun and games, practical workshops, a banquet and a Mystery tour.

And if someone wins the Prize by this date, we should also hold a Prizegiving Ceremony!

Important:
In order to budget for this, we need to know if you, the players, would be interested in attending this event, as well as the various cultural events which we are organising around the main event that week So we would be grateful if you would fill in this questionnaire at http://www.timehunt.com/conv/ and return it to us. This is an initial statement of interest only, not a firm commitment.

If we find that there is enough interest (we really need at least a hundred people to make it viable), we will go ahead with the plans. There will be a small website describing the events in detail around the end of April, at which time we will open bookings (there will be a 10% discount if you book early).

there is a new game beginning today. there are future transmissions being sent to earth from the year 2351 via a technology that is as yet undetectable by our science. certain individuals have been genetically programmed without their knowledge to heed the call of the wild, as it were, to respond to the transmissions.... :?: :!: :?: who shall be the 1st to respond, to decipher the future transmissions. and who is sending the transmissions?

Start at the beginning - the pregame timewasters are no longer available. This has already run for 18 months and a small group of stalwarts survived the first stage. But you have to do everything they did to catch up - the game keeps track of you and you have to perform all the same solves, so no jumping ahead. Way hard. While the chat logs here were pretty reliable early on, the real action ended up getting chatted over in the forums at schatzsuche.com. Some of the players started a trail (don't have a link, you'll have to review the forums), but I have no idea if it is still current . . .

sorry to bother again but where does the cog wheel goes?, because i tried and i tried and i cant get it!!!, someone said in top of the big cog, but where exacly because i once again tried and nothing, please help me is very frustrating!!!

Perhaps if you remove all the A's and H's from the story text...and then re-read it, picking out the words that make sense? *shrugs* Can anyone confirm if this works?

Don't know if anyone here is still playing this game, but I'm just starting to get into it.

I have a few questions maybe a veteran can answer.

I have solved a couple of puzzles and had nothing happen. Is there supposed to be a clue or password given at, for instance, the completion of the picture tile or moving tile (the one with the sun) puzzles?

I figured out how to play the skeleton rhythm game, and I'm pretty good at it, BUT how long do you keep playing. I've freed maybe 10 souls by now, and nothing different ever happens. Is the point just to see the soul freed once, or is there more to it?

Does the game remember which puzzles you have already solved? Or does it even matter?

Yup I would say you are missing something, but I being the computer illiterate I am have no idea what. Maybe some of the more computer saavy people around could help out.

There should be 4 "items" below a machine that you must place the items on in their "correct" places, in order to move on.

I think I remember a bell, a piece of pipe, and a cog (can't recall the 4th item).

Good luck, and I'm sure someone will come to your aid...the people 'round here are right helpful and friendly!

Am I missing something here - after placing the clock hands, the 4:45 time appears and the 2002 circle, but the right hand panel changes simply to purple cloth - no cogs, no machine, nothing. :cry:
