Timehunt convention

Just got this email...

Dear TimeHunt players,

We are planning a gathering of sorts this autumn on the theme of TimeHunt, to give you all an opportunity to meet eachother, as well as the organizers and designers of the game.
The event will take place in the Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov (see the town's website at http://www.ckrumlov.cz) from the 8th to the 15th September 2004.
Won't you come?
We are organising social and cultural events, formal and informal Forums and round table discussions featuring the kind of eclectic mix of great minds that you have seen contributing to TimeHunt, across a broad spectrum of themes derived from the Hunt, such as
Science & Imagination
The Philosophy of TimeHunt,
The historical basis of the ideas in TimeHunt and their relevance in the present day.
Art & Computer gaming,
Also fun and games, practical workshops, a banquet and a Mystery tour.
(for more info and timetable please click http://www.timehunt.com/conv/conv.html)

And if someone wins the Prize by this date, we should also hold a Prizegiving Ceremony!

Important:
In order to budget for this, we need to know if you, the players, would be interested in attending this event, as well as the various cultural events which we are organising around the main event that week So we would be grateful if you would fill in this questionnaire at http://www.timehunt.com/conv/ and return it to us. This is an initial statement of interest only, not a firm commitment.

If we find that there is enough interest (we really need at least a hundred people to make it viable), we will go ahead with the plans. There will be a small website describing the events in detail around the end of April, at which time we will open bookings (there will be a 10% discount if you book early).

Cost, etc
Please see the event timetable http://www.timehunt.com/conv/conv.html before filling in the questionnaire at http://www.timehunt.com/conv/.

Thank you for your time, and hope to see you at the event in September!

All the best,
TimeHunt team

new game emerging - great rewards to those who play 1st

there is a new game beginning today. there are future transmissions being sent to earth from the year 2351 via a technology that is as yet undetectable by our science. certain individuals have been genetically programmed without their knowledge to heed the call of the wild, as it were, to respond to the transmissions.... :?: :!: :?: who shall be the 1st to respond, to decipher the future transmissions. and who is sending the transmissions?
Dear participant,

It's official: as of now, TimeHunt is online. Enjoy the game!

We would like to thank all our beta testers for your generous
enthusiasm for the site during the beta period. We have been
following your progress with awe, and hope that you enjoy the
real thing even more.

Please also make use of the Chat options, the Captain's Log
and the Time Files (coming in the next few days - we're just
finishing it off), and join in our search for the life of
Poverus and the truth of his Universal Machine.

Best Wishes
The TimeHunt Team
After opening the right panel there are 3 hands to place on the clock on the left. After completeing this, a corner panel on the left opens that says 2002 and you are then taken to another panel on the right that has a machine of sorts. You must place the items at the bottom in their proper place in the machine at top. Ithink (but am not sure) that you need to place the items (possibly including the hands to the clock) in a certain order to have them stick.

I have done it twice and for the life of me cannot get the last item of the machine (the cog wheel) to stick anywahere. Has anyone done it yet?
Okay, after once again putting together that annoying vegetable/plant/fungi head....what in the world are we supposed to glean from it? Is there a way to "capture" what he says after he's assembled.

I like the vibrancy of this game but I'm lost as to what we're supposed to be doing and what qualifies as clues or passwords...lol...more or less a time waster for me until I can talk someone into helping me out...lol
Intense pleasure :D

This was solved by spending way to much time Googling about "Mannerist Prague" "Hermes Trismegistus" and Giuseppe Arcimboldo's method only to be slapped in the face by the  PM TimeHunt:
Is there nothing that particularly stands out for you?

You can follow the "Earth" thread to find my reasoning.

Honestly, thanx for the nudge Dan

Now here's a strange one...lol
The aliens in the clip will look wherever you move your bee around the screen, up down, left, and right. Not that it's important, but it's kind of funny.

Haven't quite figured out what's being asked....though that's not an unusual position for me with TimeHunt.
TimeHunt

I am working on TimeHunt and would love to see a forum. I am new to ARGs and really like this one albeit a little on the "hard" side for me. The few puzzles I've actually finished have been with help. I've looked at the puzzle afterwards and wondered "why" I didn't "see" the solution or the path to the solution. I think I'm intelligent enough to catch on eventually, but a place to discuss TimeHunt would be great!

"Dear TimeHunt participant

This is just to inform you that from today, TimeHunt is going offline
for one week while we complete our testing and upload the final version to
the server. We would like to thank you all for your enthusiastic
participation so far and for your patience with the many bugs and errors you
tracked down! We hope that the final release will be much more friendly.
We will send you one final email when the site is complete, then it is over
to you, and good hunting! In the meantime, please pass the word on .

Best wishes
The TimeHunt team."
