After a long absence (9 mos.) I finally revisited ARG to see what I'd missed re: NB and to see what solve you all found......

BUT, were there only 6 clues? Because now there are 14 of them at NB.com now. Are they new, or been there all along?

Been going nuts... long story, will spare you the details. Looking for some peace of mind. Sounds trivial, but is important to me to know.

thanx
My apologies for being less than communicative lately. Shortly after
the decision to close the game, many other time consuming tasks were
thrown onto my agenda, so I was delayed in providing you your well
I do hope that you have enjoyed yourselves through this game for the
Wicked awesome interview with Team Noahboddy!

Looks like the ARGN (not to be confused with The Borg) has a new mild-mannered reporter, Sin_Vraal! He's contributed a narrative (very humorous) and an interview with Team Noah Boddy (very informative)! You can catch the interview (and the accompanying narrative) in three parts:

Deadrop has the first part, Unfiction has the middle, and ARGN has the closing arguments!

I'ts a fantastic read, hope you all enjoy!

Hiatus Scheduled and Restructuring...

Looks like Team Noah Shoddy (sorry...they finally got the hint I think) is gonna start almost from scratch and do it right...here's the E-Mail I recieved:

Greetings, players:

As you will notice, we at Team Noah Boddy have just made several
changes to this group and to the noahboddy.com and theladyselene.com
site.

Here is exactly what has happened:

Yesterday, members of Team Noah Boddy had a meeting with our original
sponsors as well as a new investor. The meeting has gone very well,
and we now expect to be able to create a great deal more
interactivity and a more productive environment for you, the players.

However, such changes cannot be made overnight. There will be
programming and server changes as well as newly designed and more
user-interactive sites when we are finished.

As such, we at Team Noah Boddy have no choice but to put this game on
hiatus until we are finished. As many have noticed, this group has
had several bumps in its attempt to create an enjoyable gaming
experience and our new resources will allow us to solve many of these
issues.

We apologize for the inconvenience this is going to cause, but after
careful deliberation and discussion, it was decided that the best
course of action was to freeze both plot and puzzles rather than
attempt to continue moving forward while such major re-designs were
underway.

For those of you who have enjoyed the game, we sincerely hope you
will return and continue playing in the new year. The sites are
planned to go live again in January.

For those of you who are upset with this decision, we understand, but
as we said in the beginning, this game has been run by several people
during their evenings, weekends, and free time. Our new resources
will allow a greater time to be devoted to the game and we believe
this is the best decision we as a team can make for all involved.

Thank you all for your involvement. You are the reason the meeting
yesterday went so well.

Sincerely,
Team Noah Boddy

Let's keep our fingers crossed....I'd love to see people (including myself) get involved again and give them a second chance...

NEWS    TNB  'says' the game is on hiatus, and will resume sometime in the "new year." Yeah right! Maybe I am cynical, but I'm willing to take bets that this will never happen. IMO: It is through/done/finished/kaput/bye-bye/gone. Seems to me that "team" NB self-destructed, and that the game is a suicide. Ta Ta guinea piggies :!: ( remember--the players were told from Day 1 that they were "guinea pigs" :!: OINKOINKOINK--you(we) have been had. Live & Learn, right?
Noah Boddy revealed?

A series of messages by a 'George Spelvin' (the name given to actors in the credits when revealing that the same person played two roles would ruin the plot) to the Y! board have some interesting messages in them.

Hint:

If you take the first letter of each sentence in the messages (with words broken down by paragraphs) you will find them.

Solutions:

Msg 3133: This is Mike. I must be careful, but know this: I know who Boddy is. More later.

Msg 3201: No one appears to have spotted my message. You asked if i was friend or foe. I am friend. Hear me.

Msg 3329: Noah Boddy is Senator Joseph Wellman and my name is Mike Fox.

Second and third messages found by drizjr to Y! (msgs 3333 and 3339) and the first by me (msg 3337).

Where's the Beef

I'm probably not echoing the sentiments of the masses, but thought I'd throw it out for discussion anyway.

I'm really frustrated with the story/plot of this game. We have a basic path we're following, but IMO, the plot hasn't been furthered in a while. We get more and more cryptic (possibly nonsensical) journal entries that don't really tell us a whole lot.

These latest entries read like something is contained in them that we need to find, and yet are so convoluted that I'm not even sure if we could find what we're supposed to be looking for (assuming we are) or what to do with it if we found it. And if they don't contain "clue information" how do they further the storyline?

Do we really know a whole helluva lot more than we did 2-3 weeks ago. Bad Guy Boddy is taking over the world, the good Rev is trying to battle his Evil along with the help of The Lady Selene, Mike is out of jail, it seems the Rev has found the Librarian...and, well...that's about it.

I find this stuff extremely hard to wade through without clear incentive. It's not as if I want everything handed to me in a concise format, but I do think things are moving a tad too slow, and it all seems too fragmented.

Maybe it's because of my own personality that I haven't been inclined to care about the characters as much as some players. I haven't seen the characters develop as I was expecting. They still seem so "unreal", like pieces of a chess game rather than living breathing people in the midst of a pilgrimage.

Maybe these journal entries are, indeed, part of the puzzle and/or clues...and I'm just feeling exasperated at having to read them ten thousand times to find something that may or may not be there.

I don't know...just frustrated...lol. I'm sure there are groups out there somewhere who have solved everything completely and I'm just not seeing the forest for the trees.

Every week I invest my time in a game I keep hoping will be worth all the real life task procrastination, and somehow I end up at the same answer....I should have been doing "that" instead. There was a point in the game where things were interesting (both puzzles and plot - around the time of the Moon Puzzle), but things have fallen off dramatically IMO.

But it's just my opinion and maybe my linear personality. I'll continue to be optimistic until something better comes along to pique my interest.

What is happening to the NB gamers?

Thus far I have personally witnessed three different players of this game start acting abnormally (at least it seems a bit abnormal to me). These players either left the game or were removed by TNB. Without a lot of experince with these games I have wondered if this is normal behavior for ARG type gamers or if this is unique to the NB game. And if this is unique to NB if these players simply got as bored with reading that journal as I did and started creating/adding to the characters in the game to make it more interesting (that, now, I could be thankful for  lol!)

I am hoping that the experienced ARG players here can fill me in on your thoughts regarding these occurences and whether I should expect similar behavior by the gamers when CTW starts. Thanks!
