A Thank You from the Puppetmaster

To Unfiction CTW Players:
I still haven't really recovered yet from CTW so this is not going to be a long and philosophical reflection on the game or the experience; that will be coming later or perhaps covered in post game chats.
I did, however, very quickly, just want to thank you all for your support of the game. Knowing that so many people truly enjoyed playing Chasing The Wish and maybe even learned a few things too is icing on the cake, for just the process of creating and running the game has been a greatly rewarding and fulfilling journey for me. And I, too, have learned a great deal and opened doors to new and exciting things in my future. So thank you all very, very much.
A few quick notes for everyone going through CTW withdrawal:

(1) Check out the CTW main website and click on the right half of the moon. It should take you to a very special new page. This may help the people who have been writing me and telling me they feel like they lost a good friend. Well, you can still talk to her if you want (hint, hint).
(2) There are a few post game interviews already scheduled with a couple of gaming websites and I'd certainly be willing to do a post game chat here or combined with the entire player base. Feel free to e-mail me at cabal@chasingthewish.com if you would like to make arrangements.
(3) There is one special post game event already planned, that will include some new and previously unseen CTW material that will be reminiscent of the CTW mini-quest and will involve giving away some one-of-a-kind CTW production materials and swag. Stay tuned for more details.
(4) I'd love to hear your comments about the overall CTW experience, both good and bad, and would like to be able to use some on the CTW website and in future promotional materials. Please e-mail me at cabal@chasingthewish.com with your feedback about the game.

I guess that's long enough for a "quick" message. There will be further updates to the main CTW website soon, including the Credits for the game and links to reference materials and the like. There will also be some exclusive information about my future projects.
Thank you all so very much.
CTW BTS Roles

It was great being a part of the BTS (Behind the Scenes) team working on Chasing the Wish . Due to the medium (video) used by my character, most knew I was involved with the game throughout, but we're all wondering who was behind the curtain.

After the PM Chat, Dave said we could share what our responsibilities were on the BTS team, even though the credits aren't up yet . Let's put them here in spoilers so we can try to guess.

Diandra:

played Channel 8 News Anchor Tracie Schmidt

Can't wait to find out about the rest of the team!
Mini-Quest Updated Information

Hi,
It's Dave, cabalagent23, here. I'm sorry for the lack of information about the Post Game Mini-Quest the last week. I have been really sick for the last three days but was still trying to get everything done for this weekend. Unfortunately, it's just not going to work. :( Consequently the Mini-Quest has been re-scheduled for next Sunday, Sept. 21st at 7PM EST. I am sorry for the inconvenience but I'd rather make sure it's completely ready to go than rush it. One of the reasons for doing the Mini-Quest was to help pass some time until Acheron started and since there's already plenty to do in that game, that's no longer a concern.
I will give you a little more information about the Mini-Quest itself, to hold you over until next weekend. All of this will be posted on the CTW site later today along with pictures of the prizes.
The Quest will be divided into nine separate stages, each with it's own special prize. It's not quite that simple though, as each player will be required to make some choices right from the start that will determine which stages they see first and what prizes they might discover. Even the prizes present choices to the players, because each player can only win one and will have to decide if they want what they have been the first one to find or try for a different one further down the path they have chosen. If you pass one over to try for another though, someone else might get there first.
Each stage will be relatively short and the puzzles (hopefully) not too difficult to unravel. Some will be similar in theme and content to the Pre-Game Mini-Quest while others will bring back familiar and popular material and "devices" from CTW itself. If you are the first to find the end of a particular stage, you will be shown what prize goes with it and asked to choose if you want to claim it or not. If you do, you will be ineligible for other prizes. If you choose to move on and someone else claims it in the meantime, you are out of luck. If you try to claim more than one prize, the first one you claimed will be the only one you receive.
I envision the whole experience lasting between two and three hours at the most although it could very easily go much quicker depending on how cooperation there is between players.
The prizes will consist basically of mementos from the game, including copies of some of the nine stones from the game, the original disc travel log, and a few surprises as well.
Again, I'm sorry for the slight delay but hopefully you find the extra time I put into it worth it.
Thanks for all your support and be sure to check out the other games just starting up and going on out there.
Stage 2: Phyllis, Iris, and Sam paths

You need these three URLs:

http://www.edgeofsight.com/diary4.htm
http://www.chasingthewish.com/pgmq/pwdiary7.htm
http://www.chasingthewish.com/pgmq/sgdiary2.htm

Make two matrixes, one with the gibberish, and one with the quote. Strip out all the spaces and punctuation of the quote. Find all instances of the capitilised letter in the quote, and then find the corresponding part in the gibberish matrix. This will give you:

Phyllis: The nine are archtypes for eternal ideals
Iris: Dale Sprague is the creator archetype
Sam: Don Marzano is the embodiment of maas he seeks total power (Tripple checked that "maas" word. That's how it is.)

Stage 1 - Sam Path - SOLVED

The business card has two codes on it.

The first one reads:

SOMETIMES A CODE DOES NOT CONCEAL BUT DISTRACT

The second part reads:

YOU SEE THINGS OTHERS DO NOT TO FIND THIS
EIGHT SIX SIX FOUR EIGHT FOUR ONE FIVE SIX EIGHT
866 484-1568

A phone call later led me to:

http://www.chasingthewish.com/cwt46.html

Stage 1: Phyllis Path - SOLVED

Thru several e-mails on the Phyllis path, we found a calendar (attached) that was a file sent to JD Willingham from Don Marzano, most likely early on in the game.

After much hemming and hawing, if you go through the alphabet with date 1/1 = A, 1/2 = B ... 1/26 = Z, 1/27 = A, 1/28 = B ... and read the circled dates, you get:

FLOORPLANFAMILYRMDRAWERDM

Well I went right to the family room on the floorplan on sonsofdon.com and pushed the eye, then carefully found where the drawer let me click, and I won an archetype stone.

Yeay!
