Sad news

I'm not sure who still checks this forum among the old MetaCortechs faithful, but I have some sad news to report. As a result of an email sent by a family friend to Krystyn, we learned to our great sadness that one of our fellow Mu puppetmasters, Bruce Cain-Whitlock (aka Wolf) passed away suddenly on December 12, 2009, apparently of kidney and liver failure. Wolf, who was also an original puppetmaster on the Lockjaw game and active in the UF community back in the early days, was an avid fan (and webmaster) of the Disney Haunted Mansion fansite and the "Keep To The Code" site for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean films. He was a good guy, and a great PM, and will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him.

Celebrating 3 years of MU: Presenting the MU Archives Book

Sorry for this cross-post, but I know that a lot of MU players who do not actively visit Unfiction anymore still have this forum on monitored alert, therefor, I'd like to point you all to this thread , where, on the third anniversary of the end of MU/Metacortechs, a print-version of the online MU Archives is presented!

Site went live shortly after midnight. First message changed from "stand by" to "finalizing" then site went active. Now displays a home page with News, product, contact, and login tabs. At least two new sites:

Paintover Lives again

Well, had some free time, so I was able to piece together a reasonable clone of Paintover, complete with comments intact, thanks to the internet archive. I only miss one image file (resolve.jpg).

Oct. 1st weirdness

So I randomly came across this promotional image from the movie "Spartan"...

then I go to the official website ...and the tagline is "She's missing." And it's made by Warner Bros.

My point here is that it would have been rather awesome if this had happened while the game was running. The reaction would have been pretty amusing. Especially if it had happened early on, when the "is it official?" debates were raging.
