although... I can see them maybe, as a 'giveaway' if they do an ARGish leadin to Halo 3, use at least one of the characters' names at some point... kind of like the giveaway in ILB with the mention of Spartan, or Reach, where until that point it was still uncertainly related Halo (though obvious :))

That would be cool if they did though. Totally separate storyline, plot, characters, but have a cameo from ILB... of course, the more we talk about possibilities, the less likely they'll be to use any of the ideas, and the harder their job... hehe

no, i meant this site silly.

The site is still up because the site is now an archive of the game's audio drama component, as well as other elements of the game.

although, im pissed i missed all the hub-bub. i ignored it because i was pissed about not having an xbox. im hoping to find the next step in all this, because you have to know they're gonna do something again for halo 3. bungie has always done these things. the cortana letters, and i love bees are only 2 parts i bet.

If they do something for Halo 3, it is unlikely to be ILB 2. You may find the following quote from Bungie themselves instructive:

I mean for one thing, you have to figure that if we were doing a secret vial campaign, we wouldn't call it ilovebees[2], because you know, that wouldn't be terribly secret."

so i put the amount of days into the claculator, devided it by 365 i got 546 and a million billion decimals, and since 2552 is 546 years or so away, now im certain.so what is this site being used for since we solved the mystery however many moons ago?

ABC world news tonight wants to do a story on the game. Problem: they need moving pictures cuz it's like TV. Any chance that if any of you have any you could start a thread with links to which we could point the producer?

One thing to note is all the pages are built in ASP.NET, and are scripted. Although you can backup the output of the scripts, you won't have the dynamic content.

The ScreenSavers just did a bit on a site arciveing program on monday. To bad the G4techTV site just sucks now that G4 took it over, otherwise i could find it for you.

I prefer wget. It's command-line. It's very powerful and configurable, but all it takes to download an entire site is this:

wget -m http://ilovebees.com/

wget is also good for downloading individual large files. I use it instead of download managers like Getright. It's what I used to download all the clips on Sunday, because downloading via a web browser is annoying.

It's a native Unix program, but there's a very good Windows port available. I use it on Windows with no problem.
