Methinks you're thinking of a different ARG. Smile Ny Takma was run by Jas0n et al. and concluded successfully, while Hell Is Not Gone was run by Zazaban and sort of trailed off.

And as it turns out, the people (or at least Stacy and Peter) mentioned in those fragments are pre-crash Sentries, and a bunch of the CS staff at Miskatonic University died in a spelunking accident on...
