png is just an image type, not dependent on browser, server or operating system... this is just a folder of icon images used on the site, nothing important.

Well quite obviously it now seems that "Origen" stands for ORIental GENeration... so it has something to do with Japan I'm willing to bet, rather than simply a language variant of Origin, or beginnin...
