Anyone here playing? It's not particularly supernatural, per se, but it's a great chance for /x/ to exercise their tin hats.

Unifiction. There's a guy on SA who has 2/20 but he's holding it until the missing piece of series 3 is revealed.

The idea is that you use the odd numbers to work as the cipher for the even letters. By shifting your way up through the alphabet.

And right now we're waiting on all of these to come in, it looks like Robert is mailing them to people who mailed him. When they're all collected they'll probably spell out the next big piece.

No, we're supposed to be working together. I don't think very many of the players are feeling competitive, anyway; with the puzzle shattering into smaller pieces the further we fall down this rabbit hole, it doesn't take a genius to realize that hoarding results is going to get us nowhere.

Ben died in a car crash. From what we've been able to gather Cecilla is more of an idea than an actual person. He's stated before she is "involved in all deaths." Whenever anyone is wrong he also says we are in league with Cecilla. Running theory is that she stands for blindness, being led astray. I'm not sure if that has been confirmed though..

    >> Anonymous 06/24/08(Tue)04:35 No.744086
    Some dude from SA:

From what I've been reading through the course of this exercise, I've made a few assumptions. According to the music selections (Violent Femmes; Country Death Song and Smashing Pumpkins; Bullet With Butterfly Wings), I assume that everything that is going on in those letters happened quite a while ago. In keeping with the musical stylings of the time, that would be early to middle '90s. Also, the focus on "Time" and "Memory". Most everyone here (I figure) thinks we are here to save Mary from Robert. But at the same time, Robert has said nothing but "You can't save her". And now with the dawning of Dave's final bit of the code, it becomes fairly clear. "Mary Dies". Maybe I've gotten a little off-track here, so I'll skip right to the point.

I believe that P and R are one in the same, just different parts of the same person. R resides in the past, the angry, angsty teenager that wanted Mary for his own, and got all stabby on Steven. P resides in the present. From the e-mails sent to most everyone I've seen, he seems a lot calmer, cooler, bit more collected in his thoughts. From the focus on memory, and the importance of it, perhaps the most important memory is of Mary's death? The death of Ben seemed to have scarred him pretty deep, as the mere mention of it would bring about R!P, as opposed to the calmer P!R.

This is along the lines of what i was thinking. Sounds right, for the most part.

Hm, Date. Makes more sense than gate, which is what I got.

    That would make 3/20 '11151981'

I believe line 7/20 is going to say 'WhenTheT'

But, strange...... that would make the code 55555555
    >> Anonymous 06/24/08(Tue)09:21 No.744550

    >> Soapdish !iHSDeM46jE 06/24/08(Tue)09:25 No.744555
    >>744543
If it is 'guard the gate' instead of 'guard the date', the number cipher would fit with the last four being 1981.

The first three series look like:

    06241981
    11151981 (speculation)
    02461981

Followed by the rather curious 55555555 cipher... it's complete unlike every other set, but it fits.

Following this, line of thought, 10/20 does not fit with 12/20, unless there is another word that starts with 'rig' and first in context with 'When the time is'
    >> Anonymous 06/24/08(Tue)09:29 No.744562
There has to be a reason 55555555 is the cipher. I mean, it fits, and it's a good idea, but it seems so curious.

With current level of activity it'd just sink away anyway.

Also, 10 can lead to 12 just fine as long as you assume a typo and he dropped a h somewhere along the line, possibly intentionally. RigtWillHeAllow. Though rigt is weird.
    >> Soapdish !iHSDeM46jE 06/24/08(Tue)09:57 No.744586
    >>744582
I didn't think of a typo (intentional or not), good thought.

That would make 11/20 as follows:

    99053245 'tWillHeA'

Assuming this is right, the whole message:

Ben will guard the gate. Only when the time is rigt (sic?) will he allow entrance. Eleven fifteen PMCST.
