Thanks go to grumpyboy for realizing that the +plus+ sign was actually a tag or marker, used to match up sets of numbers. Follow along on each page to see this in action, or skip to solution below.

(solution continued, using clues in poems posted elsewhere): "standing stones" becomes
STaNdiNg SToNeS as two words with duplicate letters highlighted,
S-aNdiNg S-oNeS dropping the two Ts (note how this is considered a pair),
--a-di-g --oNeS keeping the third occurance of triplets? "adigones" NO!
S-a-di-g --oNe- removing pairs, keeping the S and N which are alone in a word? "sadigone" NO!
--a-diNg --o-eS keeping the third S and the second N... because WHY?
S-aNdiNg S-oNeS... removing letters paired across the two words, you take the first occurance from each WORD.
*--*--N- *--*-S keeping the 2nd occurance within each word (similar to how Ts dropped out). --a-diNg --o-eS remainders = "adingoes" YES!
ADINGOES needs to be "transmuted"...
Using the substitutions derived from the HTML pages (demonstrated on the copies above, and summarized in the list below), we can create a key:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
XISAUOHZPQDVCMRTJFNLEGYWKB
Thus ADINGOES =:= XAPMHRUN
Not really pretty, but it does work as the password! From the home page, click thru to the Proceed link.

Nothing new there, we had an alternate way of reaching that page during the CTW game, but bask in the sense of relief we all feel today. Thanks again to grumpyboy!
