This email is part of a
puzzle. It does not ask for any money or personal information.
Read on and you can help a large global community to solve a massive
problem.
There is a game that exists called Perplex City (Think perplexity).
Chances are that you received this e-mail from somebody
participating in this game. This is an alternate reality game where
the ultimate objective is to find a hidden cube somewhere on earth
to help the citizens of a fictional world known as Perplex City.
Another part of the game, though, is a series of 256 puzzles that
could be solved in any way possible. Some solutions have involved
codes, other languages including ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, and
to the extent of some players in the game actually having to publish
a book to solve a puzzle.
But this is where our request comes in. There is a puzzle that many
of us, hundreds actually, are trying to solve. The puzzle's title is
"Billion to One". The puzzle is only a picture of a
man who is clearly eastern Asian, probably Japanese or Chinese.
There is Japanese text, however, that roughly translates to
"Find me" on the card. A hint from the puzzle creators has
revealed that the name of the man is “Satoshi”.
That
is the whole puzzle.
Those of us that are trying to solve the puzzle aren't entirely sure
what the solution should be, whether it's his location, or full
name, or some code that only he possesses, but we are pretty sure
that this will turn out to be a six-degrees-of-separation type of
problem. After many people who were familiar with architecture did
research on the buildings in the background of the photo, the
location has been identified as probably being Kayserberg, Alsace,
France. Unfortunately, this has not yet provided us enough
information yet to identify or find the man.
This is where we are hoping for your help. In an attempt to do a
six-degrees type problem solve for this, we are hoping that you will
send this message along to five or six friends that you feel may
have a chance of knowing Satoshi, or who may know someone
that knows Satoshi.
You can see a picture of Satoshi at the top of this e-mail, or view
a picture online at http://billion2one.org/satoshi.jpg.
If you have received this e-mail and think that you know who
Satoshi is, please visit http://forums.unfiction.com
or http://billion2one.org/.
For the safety of your identity, if you help us out by forwarding
this message, we recommend sending this e-mail to yourself, and
blind carbon copying (bcc) it to those you want to send it to. This
prevents having a long list of names in the "To:" line
after each generation.
Please help us try to find Satoshi. Your efforts are greatly
appreciated.
