Lex: Hey Brackin. Or are you going by Theo these days? Brackin: I prefer Brother Theo. I have left most of my old life behind Lex: Okay, Brother Theo. It was actually a link to your old life I wanted to ask you about, unfortunately. Brackin: We are the sum of our parts. Lex: I'd like to find Phil Moore again. Not only were we friends before recent events, but I'm lead to believe that finding him will give me some information that I need. Understand that this is a purely personal quest, for enlightment of a sort. Brackin: Interesting. I just completed a similar quest of a personal nature. Lex: I don't suppose you have been in contact with him recently? The last time I saw him, he was still working for DefenseCorp, where you had been taken. Brackin: He gave me something I needed. I gave him something he wanted. Brackin: But what I gave him will not help him. He thinks it will but he is wrong. Lex: If I may be so bold as to ask, what was traded between you? Brackin: this hard drive Brackin: it was taken from me when I was a prisoner. Brackin: He was asked to work on it. Brackin: He succeeded... Brackin: mostly. Lex: And in return, what was it that you gave him? I get the feeling that it may be important to my journey. Brackin: I gave him a book. Brackin: An old book Lex: Why did he think it would be important to him, then? And perhaps more importantly, why won't it be? Brackin: It really doesn't matter now - but he saw some things on my hard drive that made him a believer in some of the things I have said. Lex: That can only be a good thing, if he follows through with that belief. Brackin: Namely references to him. Very OLD references to him. Lex: It's an old reference to him which has led me to seek him, in fact. We may be working from the same source. Lex: It is, after all, text from the Folio which I have been given, as the start of my journey. Brackin: indeed. Brackin: Can you prove it? Lex: Here is what I was told. Lex: The man of Gold is proud and vain His greed shines with no apology His gluttony and lust are unslaked The bastard prince of Deus returns in time Brackin: where did you get this? Lex: It may surprise you a little, but Brother Theo gave it to me. Brackin: I did not... unless you mean THEOphilus? Lex: Is Theo not short for Theophilus? If not, I apologise Brackin: I have not taken that name yet. Though I am led to believe that it is my destiny to. Lex: In that case, it is Theophilus who gave it to me. I'm sorry for the confusion. Brackin: I understand. Brackin: Then if he has your trust - so should I. Brackin: I gave Phil a book with information about the Sodality. Its history. Its goals. Brackin: It was a book about myths and legends. Brackin: Right between the Freemasons and the Knights Templar. Brackin: Barely a page. Brackin: It was given to me by the sodality... of course they don't call themselves that now - they are in hiding. Brackin: It was written by one of their members decades ago - as a part of an old series from the fifties. They used to sell it on TV ads. It was a gimmick - a way of finding the decendants of the lost brothers. Brackin: Phil wanted more because of the things written on Alex Wright Sr.'s REAL folio page. So I gave him the book in exchange for the hard drive. Brackin: Ironic Lex: Wait, Alex Wright Sr.'s "real folio page"? Brackin: The one he showed me the night before he died. Brackin: The one he got from his father. Brackin: The one I transcribed into my computer. Lex: So Alex Wright Sr. was a member of the sodality? This clears some things up for me. Brackin: The name you seek is not Alex's father. Lex: Hm. Well, do you agree with me that the text I have from the folio refers to Phil? Brackin: as does the rest of the page Lex: There's more to the passage? Do you have it transcribed there? Brackin: I have the whole page Lex: Would you mind showing the rest of the page to me? Perhaps there is important information that I may be missing. Brackin: well that is, the part that was still there when I saw it Brackin: about a quarter of it was missing Lex: A shame. Lex: Still, seeing what you do have may be beneficial Brackin: The man who inherited the page was named Aleksei Ritov. I will give you what I have on one condition... Brackin: Will you pledge to help the sodality to restore the folio? Lex: I will. Brackin: The man of Gold is proud and vain His greed shines with no apology His gluttony and lust are unslaked The bastard prince of Deus returns in time He has many names they will call him Caligula Agustus Nero Esau and Cane But he is the Filmore man creature And his many pleasures are known to all His Daughter princess marries another Between two pillars she stands The mystery unfolds beneath her As she floats in bloated lecherous waters The crumbled pillar is that of blood Murder and incest are kept secret His lover is death but he will not die And his wife the red witch finds her instead Hidden away in the red tower His flesh walks the street alone A maternal copy with different soul The God killer man will strike him down Brackin: that is all I have. Brackin: there are 100 cantos in the folio. Brackin: possibly 100 quatrains Brackin: the exact number is unknown even to the sodality. Lex: I will remember this. Do you know the location of any more pages? Brackin: Only rumors. Brackin: The current group has a number of them of course... Brackin: and it is said that a full quarter may exist at the Vatacan. Brackin: but the rest ... well there are a number of members who did not inherit their page. Brackin: They found it. Brackin: Which means that there are pages out there... somewhere... Lex: It will be a challenge to find them, no doubt Brackin: I am overwhelmed by the challenge. Brackin: I will need help Brackin: a great deal of help. Lex: I offer my help, as part of my pledge to restore the folio. Brackin: then let us begin with the one page we know exists... Brackin: how well do you know alex? Lex: I don't know him very well myself, but I know at least one person that he does trust. Brackin: good. Brackin: then you know what to do. Brackin: I need to go.. I've been online for way to long.
