Chicago Hivemeet!

Hello, everyone!

The Chicago beekeepers (and by "Chicago beekeepers" I mean those who attended/would have attended the Live event in Chicago) are planning a spring meetup. We haven't set a definite date yet, so if you might be in the area at some time this spring and are interested in attending, please let us know so we can include you in the scheduling. We're currently doing a Condorcet (stop your snickering Smile ) poll to decide on a date, so if you'd like to be added to the voting list, please email me at Phaedra777(at)gmail(dot)com.

The sooner you can let us know, the better, so we can allow enough time for everyone who's coming from afar to plan their trips.

Good idea: perhaps we should mention who's coming, or at least, trying to come.

Me, krystyn, Angelo, Clayfoot, Robogriff, Twilight, SuperDunner, Ermac, DiscipleN2K, atdt, Dream of the Rood...

...okay, that's all I can remember. The rest of you are going to have to speak for yourselves. Wink

I've been discussing the possibility of going with Krystyn; I'm very interested and am hoping to find a way to make it happen.

To bad you are in completely the opposite direction or I'd swing by and pick you up...

but idaho... that'd be a bit too excessive of a detour.

Yes, PLEASE! My spring break is from March 19th to March 27th, which looks like its right in there with the selected dates so far.

You're a Goddess, Phaedra.

Yeah...Chicago is 1700 miles away. If I go, it's by air.

Here's an idea...
angelo leaves his house in Oklahoma, drives straight to San Francisco to pick up me (think of this as a short cut, rather than out of your way). Then, on the way to Chicago, we swing by Boise and pick up Jinxie! This is SUCH a plan.

ROAD TRIP!!!! Very Happy

In no way is this a bad plan.

If angelo's going that far out of his way, he might as well go through Oregon on his way to Idaho from California and pick up some of the Oregon dudes.

archon, as I said, it's not out of his way, it's a short cut.

Yeah, that's the ticket, a short cut. Wink

Well, I'm not much on geography, but I got a copy of a worldmap from the local McDonalds Kiddie Meal... and, by my reckoning it's like a hop, skip and a jump from the Antipodes.

So, I guess what I'm saying is:

I'll be waiting outside around 7. I'll bring a packed lunch.

Edit:Seriously though - have fun, and remember to bring pics back to the Forums afterwards!
Oh yeah. Post 70. I be a veteran now. Cool
