Back on-topic: I should be on tonight. I am gonna pop on home, grab some laundry, head to the laundromat, which should get me on XBL around 9 or 10 Central.

I forgot to tell my story about \/\/onderboy!

OK, so, we're in this Assault game on Headlong. On defense, my habit used to be to grab a ghost, run up the dirt ramp, and try to take out/annoy anyone trying to come through the camo tunnel, and then head back after about 45 seconds to work my way up the ramps in said ghost and guard right near the flag spot.

But, as has been increasingly the case for me, people magically decide they want the weapons/vehicles I am going for. So, a lot of the time, rather than risk intense frustration, I go grab a needler, dual it with the SMG and grump to myself in the corner, hoping for a Kodak moment of some kind ...

I used to like that one corner next to the window on the flag platform. Even if the sword guy comes at me from the other end of it, I can usually take him out and someone else before dying, and by that time all of my team mates have usually moseyed on back from their Very Important Recon Stuff Far Away From the Base so that they can witness the bomb being armed or the flag being trotted gently back over to the enemy side. However, people with shotties have gotten smart, and now come down into that corner from above and hook it tightly so they can just off me quickly and do their thing.

So, I picked a new spot - a little alcove next to the stairwell. You'll know it by the yellow barrel there, and the needler spawn. It's cozy. I don't get bothered much, but I sure can wreak havoc on warthogs coming in the bottom, and any dudes trying to come up the ramps.

Aaaand, we're all just waiting around for the bomb to arrive, and it's pretty quiet, and we're idly blah blah'ing, when I notice the name "\/\/onderboy" keeps appearing on my screen, and every time I see it, I hear breathing. Breathing! My goodness!

"Hey!" I squeal on team mic: "I hear breathing! It's from Wonderboy! I wonder where he is! Perhaps I should go find him!"

So I walk out, and then to my left, into the stairwell. "I am gonna find Wonderboy! I totally heard him! Hey, Wonderboooooooyyyyy! Where aaaaarrree youuuuu Wonderbooyyyyyyy??? C'mere! Where are you?!?"

I look down the stairs, and crouched all meekly in the corner on the landing is Wonderboy!

"Hey!!!!! HI!! Wonderboy! Hey, everybody! He's in the stairwell! With the bomb! Oh my goodness! Hi hi hi, Wonderboy! You were hiding, but I found you!" And I am leaping all around him and emptying my needler into him, and hoping he doesn't smash me in the face with the bomb. Oddly, he does not even try! He just sort of lamely dodges me, and then eventually dies in a crumpled heap, revealing the bomb to all.

"Oh nooooooooooooooo! Wonderboy!!! Aieeee! I heard you breathing! That's not good!" My team mates are amused, I think, but also horrified. I think they actually felt bad for the guy. Man.

A girl can't get any appreciation around here, any more!

And that, my friends, is my Wonderboy story.
