Another idea: looks to me that at the already mentioned green background the concentric circles could be from an @ sign, maybe even thesame @ sign at the vortex page, but mirrored(!) on the vertical axis...
In other words: part of the envelope image with the @ in front of it may be the wallpaper background?

memory's not serving me right now but i'm sure there's been a lot of letters being left out here and there - like in beth's metadex there was a "e" left out of a "please", right? does anyone have a list of these "typos" that aren't really?
