sapagoo

just to make this more clear, this is the one that was in the ocean, and there is no longer any in the ocean. I'm just re-itterating this because someone posted after sapagoo mentioning the ocean coordinate.

It's moved from the ocean to within a block or two of me.

(The GPS (thanks wishi!!!) coordinates put it at Mars Mercantile, a secondhand clothes store.)

Geocache

I looked at a couple of the locations here in Saint Louis, and it does coordinate with a geocache, unfortunatly, I don't have a GPS reciever, so I can't go look at the cache's.

A good reference website is this http://boulter.com/gps/

It lets you put a coordinate in, and then "Locate nearby GeoCache's"[/url]

It might also be possible that those are sites for potential covenant attacks or maybe flood outbreaks.

I was thinking the same thing. It's against what most people here are saying, but is there a chance the covenenant might attack these locations? They are populated, and some have monuments nearby, a great place to attack.

i would rule this out since the coords are only in america. the covenenant would launch a global assult, unless in the future, the only defense was located in north america.

maybe this forms some type of super computer of neural axons that goes 'live' at the end of the countdown.

I believe my suggestion got lost in the traffic, so I'll trout myself first Trout

However, I do believe that there's a chance these coordinates mark wi-fi hotspots

Can someone check them out? Closest one to me is about a 2 hour drive, and I'm out of the country at this minute.

I took the first pair as the starting point, and the second pair as the endpoint and stuck all of these into the distance calculator that Dana linked from her blog. Here's the complete list of distances.

Some interested things I noticed as I began:
The first 4 numbers and the next 5 after that both add up to 1200.
The first number on the list and the 2nd are 255 apart.
The Second and Third are 93 apart.
The Fourth and Third, minus 255 are 92 apart.
The Fifth and Fourth are 91 apart.

I couldn't find any of these patterns which continued though, so I suspect they are just a coincidence. Here it is for anyone else who wants to take a shot.

Some strange clusters of locations, too. Take Sedalia, MO, population 20,339, major employer Tyson Foods, which evidently merits 7 locations. If we're looking for physical commonalities between locations, this might be a good place to start.

Location: Far Far Away. Nowhere Near You. Really.

38.8083 -77.0873 - * 38.808294, -77.087324 | Duke Street and South Quaker Lane, ALEXANDRIA, VA, 22314 (there's a McDonald's on the corner, some random business across from that, a fire station and some low rise office buildings across Duke St.)

38.8430 -77.0425 - * 38.843444, -77.043733 | Air Cargo Rd, ARLINGTON, VA, 22202 (Reagan National Airport - could be a parking area - I can check)

38.7730 -77.1715 - Frontier Dr, SPRINGFIELD, VA, 22150 (Perimeter road for Springfield Mall - to the east are smaller plazas with Home Depot and Borders and other stores small and large; to the west is the mall property - parking lots surrounding). Extremely unlikely to be a pay phone there.

Might I suggest that the GPS mapper of choice be Topozone.com? It gives highly accurate maps, and includes things like major landmarks and points of interest near/at the spot. I'm not affiliated with them -- I just found it to be the best.

I suggest using the following settings when viewing the map:
USGS Topo Map: 1:24k/25k series
Map Size: Large
View Scale: 1:25,000

It will even put a nice red crosshairs on the exact position of the coordinate.

I know 2 points that will discount this theory.
When the Covenant attack a planet, they glass the ENTIRE planet. Unless they are looking for an artifact.
In the Halo: First Strike novel, one of the largest Earch bases is located in Australia.

This is a great site to get an ariel view of the addresses previously posted. I haven't been to the one here in Atlanta yet, but from the Pic it looks like a bunch of office buildings. Also when I do a reverse address lookup whitepages.com doesn't come up with anything at the address.

I know you guys don't want to hear this, but don't forget that we have found a lot of evidence that this thing is related to Halo or Microsoft in some way. And since Halo 2 takes place on Earth, these might just be spots in the game that you'll be fighting in. Although this really isn't likely because it has nothing to do with Axons going hot, it is still a possibility. As stated earlier, there might be Covenant/Flood strikes at these locations, but if this is the case, it will happen in the *game* not in reality.

I think.
