Awesome captures guys!

The only obvious difference I see is the missing ladder/cab thing on the back.

Not sure if this should be read as anything more than a nod ... or a more direct link?

Should I go make a mashed potato mountain now?

Speaking of pickups, I have taken a couple of screen caps. I think it might be a 4th generation Ford F Series which ran from 1961-1966.

Sadly, I think you're right. But in the mean time, is there any way we could get this moved to it's own forum? This is clearly developing into something big, so may as well get ahead and take the necessary actions to forumize this.

Yes, people, I fear, it's bitter truth, but we can now do anything but wait till the countdown ends. I know, countdowns are most feared monsters, but this viral is commercial. And this means: no work at weekend for puppetmasters. Wink

I suppose, the movie will refer to many Spielberg movies, like "Close Encounters", "ET" or "Duel" (which came to my mind first, as I saw the duel between a truck and a train)

I'm btw. fascinated by this duo: Spielberg meets Abrams. This will rock.

Hey Automaton, chill out on the condescending attitude. you arent the God of Unfiction. The only time i see you post is to denegrade someone or tell someone off about their posts. If you arent contributing something positive toward the forum , dont post at all. Or, as mama used to say, if you dont have something nice to say, then dont say anything at all. Not trying to start a fight here, we just dont need the negative attitude here. Thank you

hah, I never meant to sound condescending in my posts! If I did so, sorry? Razz
I don't see how I could've been interpreted as that though (I was replying to his queries after all)... I mean, I'm reminding people to check back as a general rule for those who don't know how this all works. That usually saves the most time.

I've been lurking Unfiction for years, I don't post much, but from all the time I've been here that's the best advice I can give anyone. Not here to ruffle feathers though bro.

Automaton has a point though. Unforums does include a great search feature. I know a lot of people are new and may not know about it. If you're reading this post and are new to unforums, please take a moment to familiarize yourselves with search.

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/search.php

It's not that's we're belittling anyone for posting, it's just that when threads jump by 2 or 3 pages at a time, it can be easy to miss an important update when most of the new posts are on topics that have been discussed (sometimes at great length) in previous posts.

A wiki is well under way that should make it easier for people to familiarize themselves with the progress of the game. It can be found at http://super8.wikibruce.com

Thanks.

 Possibly related to Close Encounters?

Could this movie possibly be related to the Close Encounters?

Ok i did the tab thing myself and found that those 3 yellow boxes are the close, print and cancel buttons for the Print window.

Those are for the "Print all documents window" that is behind the terminal. They are for the "Print" "Cancel" and "Close" buttons.

Ok I had the window open when the line changed. since then ive opened a new tab and that one displays previously accessed on line 5. I'm wondering if its a case of if its open it will say Sectors loaded.

Has anybody kept a screen open since the very beginning? If so what does it say?

Myself I keep shutting the computer off but now it stays on.

The counter had already been "completed" awhile ago (screenshot here.) Nothing more will happen till May 13. please read through the thread before posting!

also Tab in SWF files toggles through everything that's clickable. If people want to hide stuff like that it can be disabled by the creator.

If you look closely there are HUGE red letters that go by quickly and they definitely seem different than the ones in the trailer...
