@ Nighthawk, I wasn't either, but the fact that it took until this past Super Bowl to break it's record for most watched television program is pretty noteworthy in my book.

@ comadarkvale, I agree. It seem's we have to hurry up and wait. Confused

@ Caseys_Mom, you've got it goin' on. (couldn't resist Mr. Green )

they normally don't do promo's for films coming out over a year from now, that's why it's only shown in theaters, Cloverfield never got a commercial till 3-ish months from release

tho thats not saying much, Super Bowl's show em 6 months in advance sometimes

yes this is true but it was just a theory people were throwing around and mostly hoping for but again i think next leads prob come from the coupons mailed in so we just have to ride it and and wait unless something pops up before then but i think its will be the mail his is just starting and theres a long time for stuff to happen in between

during the slusho days, we got further in the game by discovering a restaurant review featuring the elusive katei no mitsu (if i recall correctly). I sort of short on time, so is there anyone here that have done some research about poppeteers reference in other media that could be IG? Thats maybe why we get the temporarily closed web page, the other clues are elsewhere.

IIRC, The only thing we got from the Slusho site was the story of Ganu and the laptop contest..both related to the game but not the film.
The other stuff came from the pic on 1-18-08.

Saturn
Haven't seen this yet

This could easily be nothing, but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. If it has been say so and I'll go in the corner and flog myself for a bit.

I was just noticing that on the Rocket Poppeteers maze it is pretty specific in telling you to guide your rocket so it reaches Saturn. I just found that weird. Why Saturn, and not, say, the Moon? Or Mars? Then it hit me.

The Pioneer 11 mission. Outer solar system exploration mission. First ever flyby of Saturn. September of 1979.

There's a good chance I'm reading too deep, but that is a pretty major coincidence. So what do you think? Yea or nay?

Re:Saturn
Planet

So maybe the Monster came from Saturn? The answer is we have looked into it but havent found anything yet. Its not a corincidince (bad spelling) and im sure its something we need to look for in the future, but it wont lead us anywhere until the site opens

You wouldn't need to flog yourself, you might just have a tasty trout to eat.

I don't think I have actually seen anyone suggest that Saturn is the origin of said alien, but it's hard to put much into context as yet. It is interesting to note that the coupon used Saturn whilst the site has an image of what is apparently the moon, or something like it. I don't think the time comparison jives, because the newspaper is from long before the 70s. We can't be sure the difference in celestial bodies is incidental or intentional.

Knowing how JJ does these virals, he's not going to just up and tell us.

Saturn

I don't think so. This movie looks like it's pretty firmly grounded in reality (with the exception of the aliens, of course), so I doubt that the aliens would come from Saturn or its moons. Europa is a tempting candidate, but I doubt it.

Saturn might be some location of interest for the aliens, but it probably isn't where they come from.
