Nope that's not what I was referring to, it's this one:


If it's not a hand, it sure looks a lot like it, or it may be thorns, do you guys remember the concept art that was shown?! The monster that was rumored to be Super 8's, it had a lot of thorns on its body, maybe it's this.

 		so... I am thinking this may be josh, this may be speculation but, he is one of two african american kids i have seen in this trailer. This is of course assuming Josh's dad is the african american man in the picture.

 		For Resettito saying it's a hand...inverted the image and cropped with some curve adjustments...



Maybe I've been looking at the photo too long but that looks like a face to me, possibly with a patch (injured) right eye. I can't make sense out of the rest of the photo though...

Ohhhhhh that is sooooo a face... but yes you have been looking at these photos too long....errr... looks at self in mirror..

In any case what the heck else we supposed to do? Drool ... btw right under where the chin is on your eye patch and pointy hatted man the chimpanzee face starts.. to go with my telekinetic ape theory..

 		It does look like a face, and looking at just the face and the area around it, it kind of looks like a face that has just gone underwater. Small bubbles to each side of the face, and the eye patch is an air bubble around the eye.
Below that, I have no idea. I see spiney - protrudy - whats its. Dunno

Yeah that came to my mind too but I couldn't even think up one reason why until now..

What if we are seeing a person looking into a holding tank, but from the perspective from the other side of the tank? On the left looks like a possible stair railing and there looks to be some sort of room behind the face area. The main light source of this photo also appears to be coming from the top, similar to a fish tank Smile

South African Super 8 (Paramount ) site
I was just poking around and noticed on the main S8 site if you look at international release dates and info, First of there is not a lot of continuity there.

Different areas have different trailers (nothing New) just different. many (Most) have the Red letters in back and the Teaser (1st) trailer some have the Super Bowl Trailer.

South Africa however has no trailer but a button for show Video and in the pictures that play in the lens there is a scene I do not remember seeing before and I can not see on any of the other lenses. Nothing special so I did not want to start a new thread but thought I would bring it up and with a Screenshot of the scene.

Yes i do remember this on the superbowl trailer i think. Or maybe it was on the s8 website.

Just thought id say. We said before that its Josh's dad picking up the film. Just thought i'd note that the film seen here has a code of ELA 594. They put the code in the trailer so it may have some importance

 		Kinda looks like army boots though. Could be an army guy finding new, unopened film, linking the kids to the crash site where they shouldn't have been, seeing things they shouldn't be seeing.

is a type of Super8 Film
Actually the final batch of Ektachrome Sound film from Kodak, ELA
594 had an expiration date of 10/97 on it. All Kodak Ektachrome films
that are/were Process EM-26 had a final expiration date in 1997. This
includes both ELA 594 sound film, and the EG 464 silent film. The
previous ELA 464 ASA 160 Type A silent film was discountined about a
year previous.


It looks to me that both packs of film are open, I tend to also think what we are seeing is that Josh's Dad, may have "somehow" been the one driving the truck and lived, and he is picking up the film that we are looking for.
