 		Sure, I'll post what I replied, because I definitely think you guys should see what I was given:

willing to consider what you have to say. So if you really want a
good show, a show where you can't predict the ending, I'm probably the
only choice you've got.

Head over to the Secure File Storage section of the website at /sfs and then access Level 7 (it's unlisted, but I know you know what to do) enter the login:

then navigate to the Space Communications Research directory, then Whispher Project, then Orein's folder, then his notes. You will find a file there. Read it and tell what you think.

I've been blocking Miller's progress, so he won't really get anything useful until I'm done. And since you're neutral, maybe it's time to pick sides?

All I can say is, it definitely IS pretty interesting! Who is Alex? Another Failtech director? And the note Scimitar gave pointed to a blog: http://genusorein.blogspot.com/ So far I don't really know what to make of the pictures on the blog. Looks like one is of some path that goes through our solar system. The others are at first glance pretty creepy!

What do you guys think?

PS - Yeah I haven't gotten around to reporting that enigma message to Dan, so feel free to go ahead duke. Thanks!

 		looks to me like Genus planned the lockdown from the beginning! And he was in cahoots with at least one other FAILTECH employee! Maybe Alex is Scimitar?

However... If Scimitar was able to create his own login ID on the server, perhaps the file is a fabrication of his making?

As for the blog. I have no idea as to what to think of those images...

 		Interesting development here... have you tried asking either Dan or Scimitar who alex is? Might be all that important if Genus is communicating with that guy.

And those pictures, weird. But, yeah, the first one was definitely our solar system with some sort of path for a satellite, or something. The file name is "trajectory" so I guess it has something to d with that.... The other two are named "learn" and "symbol"

 		Hurm, that blog stuff is quite... Interesting. Lots of trajectories. I might poke around and see if those alignments match up to any specific date.

Also, here's a proposal. Maybe we engineer our own alliances for this? That is, we can make sure we always have at least one of us on their "good" side, so we don't risk totally breaking contact with anyone major. We could also designate some of us to ask the kinds of questions more likely to earn a block, but we'd have to make sure those people aren't taken to represent the groups we've already established.

...Does that make sense at all to anyone else? XD;

 		Aha, I asked about the leadership structure of Failtech (particularly Genus's superiors) and Miller gave a good response:

Now regarding the board of directors, there's six of us, including me. I'm very sorry I haven't really mentioned much about the board, since it's still a mess down here. But to answer your question, the other directors are David Black, Pedro Jose, Jean Klein, Alexander Sword, and Winston Yu, where Alexander Sword is the Chief Director (or the Chairman) by having the largest share in the company (besides Fred) and also because he was elected by the board and the executive council.

At the highest of the company's organizational structure is Fred Don, as the Owner and Founder (and by having the biggest share of all), then comes Alexander Sword, as the Chief Director, then below him is the Board of Directors, which includes me, the beneath us are the Executive Council consisting of the head of each department and divisions (that's where Genus is).

If Genus was to report to anyone, it would be anyone in the board of directors, which includes the chief director. He can also report to Fred directly, but there was no need for that. Fred doesn't really have any executive power over the company, but his shares hold some "power" over the decision making of the company.


Alex = Alexander Sword perhaps?

 		Alright, curiousity got the better of me, so I emailed Dan about Failtech's purpose.

What I sent:

This looks like it's done by an "amateur" group (and by that I mean "not a company and with no company's monetary backing) and isn't for a game or product, but rather just for fun. My opinion, anyways.

aha I knew there could have been some relationship to it of some sort, so scimitar is alexander sword then?

 		Not sure. Maybe they are the same person, maybe one or both want us to think they're the same person, or maybe Scimitar is doing Alex some sort of "honor" by picking a similar name. Hard to tell with this guy, we simply don't know enough about either yet...

 		Well i'll keep in contact with him. I sent him an email claiming about the code line we were shown before and that since it blocks devices they may want LAINSY's self-defense system to be stopped from going online after the reboot, and he's denied it.

This was what he said to me:

Anyways, Orein only needed to run a piece of code for something. It's not for taking over or that kind of thing, but the self-defence module would block the code from running, so it has to be run before the self-defence module starts up. Don't worry, LAINSY and it's self-defence module won't be affected by this, we just need to run a particular code into it.

Also, good theory about who I am. Yes, I do have higher level access, isn't that's what hackers do when they get hold of something?


I'm going to rebute that it seems like an awful lot of work for a hacker to do.

 		Based on Genus' blog, it really looks like FAILTECH is up to no good. the one picture.... with the FAILTECH= DEATH and the perfect= nothing makes me think that maybe there's some risk of Lainsy (who is 'perfect' according to the failtech guys) going all Skynet, and Genus and this Scimitar guy are trying to stop her.

I think we should give this Scimitar guy a shot, and see what happens. I like the idea that one of the posters earlier had of us splitting up, and some of us staying loyal to Dan, and the rest working with Scimitar/Genus. I'll volunteer to be on Scimitar's side.

I think I'm going to send Scimitar an email and then send LAINSY her reboot sequence. Any objections?

 		But won't rebooting LAINSY kill Dan in the process as Dan says? you know, because Dan is inside the facility, and there won't be any safety and such... so I don't know. I'm really torn up here... I wanted to see a reboot, but then I'm thinking of the consequences and I'm like... nooooooooooooo!!
