Just got done doing some random sketches, and did one that looks kinda like how I would imagine Durga to look like, but with more body structure than Cortana had, if we're using her as a ref for the AI's bodies outlines. And none of that code-ie stuff that Cortana has either - didn't feel like drawing all that into the sketch, but if I paint it over in Painter, I might add that in.

Heh... so I was planning on just writing a few character descriptions and ended up doing nearly the whole lot. It was fun. Wink

"Jan looks like your run of the mill hot-but-can-kick-your-arse chick."

Sounds about right to me. Smile The Jan in my mind always features long, dark hair, though.

Jim James = Tall, somewhat burly build. Brown hair. Generally looks somewhat exasperated.
Gilly = Very petite build, the sort that seethes with suppressed energy underneath.
Gladys = Larger in stature than Gilly. Curly hair. I imagine her with glasses, but that probably wouldn't really be the case given her Spartan heritage.
Thin Kinkle = Slight, wiry build, blond hair, with electric blue eyes that sizzle with a hint of madness.

Standish = I don't imagine him looking conventionally scary or ugly at all; rather, the Standish in my mind is extraordinarily plain looking. Brown hair, average build, very normal looking guy... which makes the stuff he says that much creepier.
Rani = For some reason, I think of Rani as a slim, petite girl of Middle Eastern descent, maybe of Israeli ethnic origin. Curly light-brown hair, wears glasses.
Herzog = Big, burly guy to match his deep voice. Getting on a bit in years, but you wouldn't know it from his build. Doesn't really look the person he's talking to in the face very often, but when he does, he's extremely intense about it.

Durga = An orange Cortana, with that same short haircut, but a much more severe demeanor. Goes deep, deep red when the dormant Yasmine personality takes hold.
Jersey = Dorky lookin' guy; whoever suggested Tobey Maguire is absolutely correct. Wink

Sophia = Dark hair, lightly freckled. Whereas I think of Jan and Rani as usually having very straight posture, I imagine Sophia as being more casual, willing to sprawl in a couch without feeling self-conscious.
Kamal = Of Indian descent, obviously. Dark brown, curly hair of medium length. Always keeps his hands in his pockets and wears a perpetually sheepish expression.
Hiro = Short black hair, Asian, taller than Kamal. Always has a grin on his face (except when sharing bad news).

I've long been thinking about trying to get further into Halo PC to adjust certain character models and what not, and make a machinima flick out of this. Obviously I could just use the dialogue and recordings that already exist.

Hell, if you edited the Sims 2 enough, you could probably just use their movie maker.

I think it would be a LOT of fun.

Eliza Dushku?

Mel Gibson? Or possibly Hugh Jackman?

Cameron Diaz?

Steve Buschemi?

I disagree on this one. I sse her as a strawberry blonde petit downhome sourthern girl. (Hmm, could I get anymore stereotypes in there? Sorry if I offend)

I always pictured him as Tommy Lee Jones.

Seth Green could work too.

I love Jackman for Jim James. It's a pity though, that he'd die before the end, though. Poor Hugh. I also like Steve Buscemi for Thin Kinkle - he was great in Con Air, just perfect.. however I'm not sure he has quite the.. anger potential required. Tommy Lee Jones for Herzog is just brilliant. How about we offset him with a disgruntled Michael Ironside as Standish. (Go watch SeaQuest 2032 or Starship Troopers if you don't know Ironside.)

If this ever was done as visuals, I would want to see it in a slightly more clear version of the Max Payne story segments. Those were just utterly incredible in terms of mood setting.. they got better and better as the games got deeper in craziness..

Paul Bettany would make a nice Thin Kinkle.

Agreed, Steve Buscemi would make an excellent Thin, except for one thing. I think of Thin as being much younger.

All of those are fairly decent except for cameron diaz.

No way on Cameron Diaz for Gilly, not even in the thing.. ugh no..

Gilly is older.. I've got something in mind but I can't think of their name.

Jan will be played by a hot chick

I had fun picking the icons for each character in my Character Chart (see sig, or Quick Reference forum). They actuallly jibe pretty well with Cherry's imagination, I think.

funny how the only description I agree with is Standish, but I think everybody does. He just gives off that vibe. It's amazing how detailed the images in my head are.

Jane= Brown hair, the short kind that frames the girl's face (the first instance of her we have is her running around a base and hanging onto ceiling to escape MP's, long hair just deosn't seem practical...)

Maybe it's the accent, but every time I hear Rani I imagine Olivia Burnette who use to be on a show called the Torkelsons (which mainly aired on Family Disney).

I hope we'll get a full cast list from the PM's when the ARG is over. Will be neat to see if the actors in any way could possibly look like the characters they portrayed.

I really hope I'm seeing things, but on that chart, the guy you have for Kamal looks suspiciously like Woody Allen, which is putting some very surreal images in my head. Also, is that Kirsten Dunst as Rani?

And I always pictured Jan with black hair in a ponytail. Y'know, feminine enough to grow it out, but not so girly as to actually screw around with it. Is it weird that I'm developing a crush on her?
