Ok, well the numbers certainly seem interesting.

For those who thought it might be a phone number:

There was some speculation in this thread, before ppl started bashing each other with tech. specs., about the file name being a phone number... Personally I think that we have to read the file name back wards so,
3737115
becomes
5117373

I thought I'd give you this: I'm in the telecommunications business (specifically I own a software company that creates billing software for the Telephone industry). As such, I have access to all the NPA NXX combinations.

In a 10 digit phone number, the Area Code is the NPA. The first 3 of the 7 digits... 555-1212... [555]... is the NXX. For a phone number to be valid, the NPA & NXX must be a matching combination.

To view all the possible Area Codes for the 2 numbers above (I included the 373 just in case you thought it might be that) I created a list of all the NPA's that use the NXX of 373 or 511.

Go here to view it:

http://www.blognia.com/Fun/NPANXX.asp

I also added mouseover highlight functionality, and clickable highlight functionality so you can see the records more easily. (Go ahead, give it a try). There are 260 records so it's a long list.

EDIT: NOTE* 312) 373-XXXX is a real number... for chicago, IL Smile (but I haven't called it yet. Called and it's a disconnect signal (Or not owned). THis might change in the future (If these numbers become important), but for now it's a disconnect.

EDIT2: NOTE* Also valid (773) 373-XXXX... for chicago, IL Smile Called this one. The message ("The number you have called 7733737115 is being checked for trouble"). Not a message I've ever heard before, but it very well could be a valid message. I suppose we'll see at some point soon if it matters.

Wow it just boggles my brain Shocked

Have you noticed that there is a sort of hidden % sign on the right of the Dev kit reward picture ?

I found this interesting

The picture's name is 3737115.jpg. The first thing that came to mind about the file name was to checkout the binary. What if 37 is 3+7=10? Making the binary of 3737115 be something like 101011.

101011 = 43

What if the 5 should be included? 5 = 101

101011101 = 349

What if we should literally translate each number and append the binary equivalents? 3 = 11, 7 = 111 so:

3737115 = 111111111111101 = 32765

I thought there might be some connection to the number of colors in 16 bit color = 65536. Because that divided by 2 is 32768. But I'm probably wrong about that.

What about reversed?
101111111111111 = 24575

I have tried to search for pictures with names equal to these numbers on the ourcolony's gallery and thesecret directories with no success.

I am sorry guys, but I just have to out my two cents in on this one. You're all in need of a little education. The bits in a video game system (8bit, 16bit, etc.) has never referred to the processing of the CPU for the game unit. It has ALWAYS referred to the video capability. So far to date, we have only attained a 128bit video system, nothing higher. The 64 bit systems that you are seeing out on the market now, refer to the CPU speed. And yes, IBM and AMD are the only two companies with a 64 bit processor on the market. It's just that the IBM chip is in an Apple, so you don't here about it as much, but it was the first one on the market. According to the rumored specs, the 360 will have 3 of the IBM chips in it.

okay,
I'm done

The only mistakes I may have made were with the processors in the NES and SNES. Everything else was accurate. Also, intel has a 64-bit chip on the market. So do some other companies, not just AMD and IBM. And the Xbox 360 is using a triple core G5 variant that does 2 instructions per clock, per core, instead of seven per clock like the G5 does. It isn't using three chips.

OK folks... get ready for some WILD SPEC

What if the reward/leaked pics are not of Xbox 360, but of the old Xbox in new clothes? MS could milk the existing Xbox game base by offering a relatively low cost Xbox with DVD capability (IR port) and optional hard drive. Hence the not-really-mind-blowing stuff leaked (I'm counting the full front render as an artist's interpretation). Nothing we've seen sofar really proves that this is a next gen system, so it could be a mis-information campaign to totally surprise everyone come May 12, with an enhanced Xbox plus the full blown Xbox 360. This is especially plausible if there is no backward compatibility.

One problem, no controller ports.

I'm pretty sure this thing is the real 360.

This new clue could be pointing to this part of the poem

Quote:
Here the Khan Kubla commanded a palace to be built, and a stately garden thereunto. And thus ten miles of fertile ground were inclosed with a wall.

You haven't really seen the front pics... ports could be on the right side of the thing. The mem units could be to run games sans hard drive.

Anyway, it's just wild spec... not trying to convince anyone. Just throwing a possibility out there.

Umm... no. The 3 that was there before was made up of reflections on the fender. This new one is blended into the headlight. Compare the pics in your link against the one now in the colony and you'll see.

One (very, very) strong possibility is that the controllers are wireless.
At least, that's according to the speculations about Xbox 360.

EDIT : Nevermind. I just realized that you were talking about the spec that it might be the old Xbox in new design/color.

For those of you still wondering about ther recent text snipets on the team pages, they are additional clues the previous puzzle, which lead to the poem Kubla Khan:

Quote:
a vision ... a sinful garden
1463 - I am where you talk

The poem had the alternate title "A Vision in a Dream".
"sinful garden" refers to teh line "And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills".
And I don't know about the second line.

Quote:
Khan Kubla

Obvious just a more direct reference to the poem.

Sorry I don't buy it.
1. He knows we have solved it
2. If one is true then why do we need a clue to the puzzle we have already solved?
