4-27-05 - New Challenge - Listen to Me I told you it would be harder now
Work together, but be mindful of your rank
Did I mention this one's more rewarding?
Start in the alley.
That's what I hear. Anyone else?

Not sure. I just downloaded the .mp3 here at school but this comp doesn't have speakers. I'll be home soon and I'll listen to it there. I just updated the post new challanges thread.

Slower/Faster Windows Media Player has a very easy slow/fast function. Just go to PLay>PLayspeed --> slow or fast
So far I've heard nothing different.
I watched this one being posted. At first they messed up the code (making everything linked) and now they still have Khan Kubla on the screen. Same clue or just delayed update?

Kubla Kahn is gone now.. It just says "Are you listening?". I guess they just were late to update...
Maybe it has some other sounds in a lower volume or hidden somehow, does anybody have a program for manipulating sound files?

Working as best I can with what audio tools I have, I've seen pics hidden in audio waveforms before too...

Are the puzzles different for each colony? If so, maybe the number of our rank ( ARGolonists in my case ) may be some kind of clue..

First thoughts:
Nothing seems special about the mp3 file, so why distribute as an audio file? We may be looking for homonyms, which would have stood out/not made sense if typed out.
alley ~
1: Al E. as a name
2: the letters L E, which is awfully similar to the 7 & 3 we got in our last reward image.
Also, did anyone else happen to check other teams to see it they had the same reward image or audio file? Anyone have 'spy' accounts?

Can you take out the slow part? It makes it harder to hear.

Hi! My first post ^^ Thought I could actually contribute for once so.. o.O
I've run the file through GoldWave. There doesn't appear to be any background sound or any hidden sounds. Infact, if you run the tool that removes vocals, there is nothing left. o.O
Likewise, there appears to be no 'audio picture' or anything clever like that.
Clue I think is in the words spoken, not the file its in. o.-
