It is a police report from the looks of it. I am trying to get something out of Babel Fish, but it isn't being very cooperative. Most of what I got is that he was buckled into a vehicle from the Tribunal to Emden Prison where he began to cough so forcefully that blood came from his mouth. When the guard and his partners came to offer assistance he pulled something metal from somewhere and stabbed the guard in the leg, taking the vehicle and escaping. Hopefully someone can get a better translation.

I suggest a retriever help open Will's package and give some advice about cell phones and GPS pings:
http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/ian/secret/mailinbox/0086.html

I got a response to this, by the way --
Quote:
I got bigger problems than getting the package right now

NOTE: Nisha seems to be more levelheaded and tells Xuratu to get the package. New Yorkers, we need you!

enaxor mentions a new stolen a3 TV spot:
http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/ian/secret/mailinbox/0087.html

His response to this email was
Quote:
WHY THATS JUST WOOOOOONNNDERFUL
THANKS SO MUCH!
BRB, GETTING LIGHTER AND GASOLINE!!!

The thugs give Ian yet another ring and mention a change in target. Looks like our CA retrievers will have more than just Gunter to deal with.

Ian emails Nisha an "update" recapping the day (he missed mentioning the TV spot). He also mentions he has ditched his cell phone.

Nisha responds to Ian's update and tells Ian to chill:

And finally, Xuratu responds to a note from Nisha. Nisha voices her concerns that Ian said there was only one Worry email. She thinks Ian shouldn't know we're getting at the package. Xuratu agrees and says we should be able to get to it:

German Police report

From what I can make out of this police report, it says that Gunter was being transported to Emden Prison when he started to complain of pains and was coughing. One of the officers sent his partner to get medical help. When the other officer left, Gunter pulled a sharp object out of the sole of his shoe and stabbed the remaining officer in the leg then took the vehicle and escaped. The Proper authorities in the European Union have been notified and he is considered armed and very dangerous.

SHOWDOWN

Okay - some speculation - something remains undiscovered here about the relationships between Virgil and Ian...

Expect Coachella to be a nerve wracking, tense op. For the lucky retrievers, here is some advice;

1) Expect the unexpected - duh! There are more players here than you expect, I noted at least one other person arriving at the Atlanta Op, not everyone plays nice.
2) Pay attention to your COMM discipline, i.e. listen more than you talk
3) Get ahold of a good, small digital camera - photos help
4) Make sure you know the biref inside and out! Nisha's gouge will be paramount to your success

transcripts

We really should make an effort to transcribe phone calls for heisters who don't have audio.

IAN: Idiot, I'm not going to California.
THUG: No... but you're little girlfriend is. How about it, kid? We could stop chasing you and pay a little visit to her.
IAN: Go ahead. She'd kick your ass.
THUG: Hehehehe hehe. I think you underestimate Roger and myself. Hey Roger, how about it? You like music? Oooh yah, he's a big music lover, he says.

[UPDATE:] used Mattazuma's Romeo & Juliet quote, corrected sunday to sunrise (thanks HitsHerMark)

Romeo & Juliet Quote

"Wisely and slow, they stumble that run fast" is from Romeo & Juliet.

Frier Lawrence said it to Romeo.

beautiful sunday

I don't know what Beautiful Sunday refers to. But there is an old song of that title with these lyrics:

Quote:
Birds are singing, you by my side
Let's take a car and go for a ride
Hey, hey, hey, it's a beautiful day
We'll drive on and follow the sun
Makin' Sunday go on and on
Hey, hey, hey, it's a beautiful day

I don't know if anyone has made plans to get the package yet. I think that keeping the plan from Ian is a bad idea. Will is bound to tell him at some point.

Nisha's concern that Ian is too freaked out doesn't convince me. He will be more upset by a stranger picking up the package from Will and finding out about it later than he would be if he was told in advance. We have been sharing everything we know with Ian so far, why not this as well?
