 		[SPEC] My current ideas about what happened with James
I just finished reading all of the blog entries Alesha had. I have a clearer picture for myself of what happened.

James was working for FACAB, and they needed someone to be an operative in South America. They chose James, brainwashed him, and now he's their contact in South America. They needed to erase him from Alesha's life as well.

December of 2003 Alesha got a new job. She also receives an email from
John Sampson saying he saw James on the streets of La Plata, in Argentina being drug around from building to building by men.

April of 2004, her boss, Janice, got her into therapy. Also, she receives an email from a guy in Puerto Vallarta saying he saw James, but he looked like "...something was wrong with him." Like he was brainwashed?

May of 2004, Alesha starts to feel like there are objects missing from her house.

September of 2004, Alesha has a moment where she had forgotten about everything, but reads back through her blogs and remembers James again. Shortly after that, she goes back to her therapist and the building is all boarded up, like he never existed.

October 2004, the photos of James in her photobucket account have been deleted.

April 2005, Alesha receives an email from someone who says he's involved with terrorist activities in South America, and James is trading heavy weaponry and arms with a particular dealer.

Number 6, one of the players, tells her that her email is being monitored, because he received a call from someone at FACAB, which the only way they would have got his number was from the email he sent to Alesha.

Recent puzzles have given information saying that the therapist was "erased" by FACAB.

There's a summary so far. I didn't include the puzzles, but from those and other entries, it looks like Emily is the insider trying to get this information out to Alesha.

 		Hmm, this seems to be a pretty good summery. Except we don't know for sure about James being brainwashed.

Maybe someone should start a Wiki?

 		I think that is a good summary too. Although, I am not as sure as you that James was brainwashed by FACAB. According to Alesha...I think it was an email to a player, James USED to work at FACAB, that he had quit.

Also, based on log01 I think that FACAB may not know where James is either. I am not convinced they are the badguys. Although, they are trying pretty hard to cover up that they lost James. Or that his dissappearance is even possibly related to his having worked for them.

Although, I suppose it is also possible that James lied to Alesha about having quit FACAB.

 		Have you guys seen the movie The Forgotten - where they basically make Julianne Moore believe she never had a son? I'm thinking about the things disappearing from Alesha's apartment, her therapist disappearing.. it seems like they're trying to make her forget he ever existed.

Or somebody can hit me with something and say I watch too many movies. But it's a thought... even if they don't know where he is, things would be easier to deal with if she simply forgot.

 		Well, I think they would also be happy with everyone thinking she is nuts because there is no record of "James" ever having existed.

Nah, you don't watch too many movies. That's exactly what was going on here. Even in that movie, she had a therapist that was in league with the alien abducters to help her forget her son existed. But she wouldn't let him go.

I'm still going on that James was "picked" for operations in South America, and had his memory wiped.

Was that email ever posted here on the site? I'd love to see if Alesha said that or not.

From one of the sites at FACAB, it looks to support my theory that they wiped James' memory and were using him for operations in South America, but then something happened and they lost him. The page http://www.facab.org/documents/report.txt states that James was last seen in Australia/Argentina, he's missing, and he's considered 'extremely dangerous.'

Sounds like a control experiment gone awry.

 		Well yeah, I wasn't going with the whole alien theory.. THAT would mean I watch too many movies. Very Happy Of course, if they're wiping memories.. better be careful before they get you with that cute little light from MIB.. sunglasses everybody! Wink
